i am trying to find out what type of way i should place my army when i play against people from the choices above.

We are lucky to play one of the most diverse armies there is, we have more tactical options than we in fact need. :D Why not take advantage of that?

Well I would go for a mixture of both, in sixt edition I was a big fan of massive armies, but in 7th edition the panic rules hurt you more so a horde army suffers more from it( well the pure gobbo one that is), so I go now with a mixture of "tough" units and lots of small support units and it works pretty good :).

I've had good success with my all cavalry army list so far! I'm voting for elite due to this list.

I do like to play mixed lists, though.

Best ( 3k ) army thats worked for me is 3 blocks of 30 orcs with another 3 blocks of 20 gobbos, 1 fanatic each.
