Title: Dwq 5 Feedback
Warlord Ghazak Gazhkull - November 2, 2006 03:38 PM (GMT)
Hello all,
I would like to know what you found positive and negative about the magazine, so we can keep improving it's quality.
Also I post here links where you can see what forums think about the magazine.
http://warhammer.org.uk/PhP/viewtopic.php?p=294500#294500http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55008http://www.druchii.net/viewtopic.php?p=564907#564907http://underempire.net/index.php?showtopic=16219And zorg has posted(or will post) advertisment on the WAAAGh site and Wau. I've also posted it on the site of my gaming group, but the reaction are in dutch so I didn't post a link here.

Right, here we go:
Warhammer-Empire:
http://www.warhammer-empire.com/component/...4/topic,13404.0Bugmans Brewery:
http://www.bugmansbrewery.com/forum/index....showtopic=15032Area52 (local gaming forum):
http://www.area52.com.au/phpBB2/viewtopic....b1df63e69#21658Theyre only just been posted so it should take a little while for some replies, but hopefully we'll get some good feedback. Bugmans and WarhammerEmpire should give us the most, well, 'constructive' critisism (:P) as they are Da Paff's enemies, so to speak, but hopefully we'll get some compliments too :D.

lol, I was reffering more to the fact that the underempire (skaven) and druchii.net (darkelves) are both techincally evil armies with us greenies, whilst Empire and Dwarves hate greenskins and thus us :P. Thats why I said so to speak, because no dwarf will ever admit that a greenskin has done a good job of something!
Anyway cheers for the compliments, and Im glad you like the mag!

Thanks for pointing that out :D
I use the same template from issue to issue, and I must have overlooked that particular part for this issue...
I've made the chaneg, and I'll get the updated issue to Zorg later on to replace the current one :)
Zorg_orc_warboss - November 6, 2006 06:47 AM (GMT)
Atcualy I just noticed it says issue 4 at the top of each page. Might want to change that ;) .

I just wanted to say that I really liked the Large Waagh! of the experienced players. The stories of playing OnG through the ages was really fantastic. I loved the part about the obnoxious dwarf player. The giant rock lobba hitting the special character on turn 1 was priceless, as well. I thought that this was the best thing out of any issue of DWQ ever.
Arfa - November 15, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
Well thats great, considering its one of our regular articles now! There were so many amazing armies on here (especially giant ones such as this) that we've decided to showcase one each issue. This kinda started with mine but that was more just pics rather than a full writeup, so OFTPs army was naturally the first in the 'Massive Waaagh!' writeups considering he has the biggest ^_^. Im glad you like it, and hopefully we can get more people and imput to make the mag even better next time!

Nice advertisment Kurgan, this deserves some lard tub brew.
Also for the article of huge armies, I only know 4 people who have a army bigger then 10k, well we will see it what to do with the series after that we have used that, we will certainly keep such showcases.

First off, I have to commend you guys for doing this fanzine. I know how tricky it is to pull all of this together into some kind of cohesive-ness. I used to run UnrealEngine.com for a few years, and that was just me and one other. Forums, articles, tips, etc., etc. for map makers and gamers into the original Unreal on through Unreal Tournament. It's a dump truck of work!
My background is in graphic design with an emphasis on multimedia and web, but that doesn't mean I don't know my print (which is technically what DWQ is, being a PDF doc). I am certified by Adobe as an ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) in Photoshop, and can hold my own in just about any other proggy.
So my suggestions are many, but I would prefer to put them to the right ear rather than air them publicly. That's not saying you guys aren't doing a smash-up job! My hat's off to you all, but I could help quite a bit with layout, imaging, linking out of PDF, etc.
Very impressed. When is the next issue due?
Warlord Ghazak Gazhkull - December 24, 2006 08:45 AM (GMT)
Well normally DWQ6 will be released on the 5th of january or the 6th, I hope we can release this magazine actually once on time :).
