Title: Undead Orc Magic Items!
Description: I'll kick things off with weapons
Mork-and/or-Gork - April 30, 2006 12:01 PM (GMT)
Just some magic weapons I thought up.
Dah Deathbringah Pts: 100
For every model the character kill, every friendly undead infantry unit within 24" gets a model back.
Da Sword of Da Black Death pts:65
If the model wielding the sword kills a model in any unit, that unit is immediatly affected by the curse of years spell and it can be dispelled as normal. At the begining of every turn take a leadership test. If failed the model wielding the sword attacks the unit he is with. If he isn't with a unit, the closest friendly unit is charged by the model. If no friendly units are in range, remove the model wielding the sword as a casulty. Your opponent gets victory points as normal.
Da axe of da zombie pts: 25
The model wielding the sword is braindead. +3 attacks.
Just some thoughts
Warlord Ghazak Gazhkull - April 30, 2006 12:47 PM (GMT)
I will also try to make a few items.
-Book of necromancy 30pts
bound spell, power level 4
the spell that is cast is the invocation of nehek on the second difficulty.
After you used you need to check if it is not putted out, roll a d6 on a 1 or 6 it is exhausted and it can't be used anymore for the rest of the game.
-The death mask of lugnut 25pts
The model wearing this mask causes terror
-Grom's axe 65pts
For every unsaved wound the character does he gets one extra wound, when the character reaches 10 wounds he gets a 6+ ward save.
Also the axe gives +1S

Banner of Terror: 40pts
This unit now causes terror.
Nightfall Banner: 50pts
This unit is now -1 to hit with ranged or close combat.
Soul Brew: 25pts
Once per battle, the bearer may chug this brew and you may re-roll failed armour saves.
Cunninglybrutal - May 6, 2006 08:39 AM (GMT)
Deffmeat´s zombifikatin´ klub: 30pts
Everything turns into a decaying state when Deffmeat and his horrible club are near. However, it is still unknown if this is due the terrible power of the weapon, or due to the terrible power of Deffmeat´s body odor.
It can only be used in challenges. The target loses -1 I, -1W and -2 WS points everytime this weapon hits. If the target dies, it turns into a zombie.
OR...
Only in challenges. Killing blow. If the target dies due to the Killing Blow, it turns into a zombie (this would increase the points of the weapon in 10 points, or so.)
I preffer the first option, though.
Cheers!
Lesser_orc - May 6, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
You might want to make that club more expensive cunninly brutal.
-1 wound and -2 ws every time the weapon HITS?!
thats amazing for 30 points!
a hero (with about 3 attacks) could reduce a bloodthirster to ws4 in one turn, not including rolling to wound!
hopefully you meant wounds...
extremly cool conspet though, i like to whole zombie idea...
Cunninglybrutal - May 6, 2006 08:22 PM (GMT)
mhh, yep, perhaps it is a bit on the cheap side ^_^. Thanks a lot for your comment, hehe.
Still, you get the idea, lol! The thing is that we come up with some ideas and you guys tell what you think about them. I did not repair on the Bloodthirster thing, thanks a lot :P.
Cheers!
Lesser_orc - May 7, 2006 09:02 AM (GMT)
I still love the club though. mabye make it do - 1 I and -1 ws every time it wounds? zombify if it kills?
for about 25-30 points, that would be pwnsomely kewl! fair and powerful!
Cunninglybrutal - May 7, 2006 10:14 AM (GMT)
Oh yes! That is what I meant in the beggining!! hahaha. You know, English is not my first language, and I got confused with the 2 words :P!! It is because "hit" means "impactar", and "wound" means "herir" in Spanish. Both "herir" (wound) and "hit" (impactar) start with "h".
Cheers!

Enchanted Item:
Dead Orcs Chest
PTS: 35
When a group of Pirate Orcs where looting an empire village who a orc nukrumanzer was intending to take, their kap`n got a gruesome fate. His soul were ripped from his body and looked in a chest called Dead Orcs Chest. The chest itself also have a curse, anyone who claims it for himself are slowly drained their lifeforce by the kap`ns soul.
The kap`n still search for it, because only then may he taste grog again and enjoy combat...
The wearer of Dead Orcs Chest get the lifeforce of the poor kap`n, he gets +1 S and +1 A. He may also re-roll failed to hit dices. But at the end each turn he must roll a D6 if he rolls a "1" he loses 1 Wound who cannot be saved.
What do you think?

Da pointy staff cunts as a spear with poisn and armour piercing 25p
Borzag - May 7, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
Da BoomStikk Magic weapon, 30pts
Originally belonging to Undead hunter Sir Ashleigh von Williamson, this was taken off him by considerable force on the part of the greenies. Now the Undead Orcs use it to ward off others, regardless of what they happen to be.
Counts as an Imperial handgun, but orcs may Move & Fire with it. Attacks are considered Magical
Designers Note: yeah it's a 30pt handgun. But hey it uses up a weapon slot (might have to add a rule that says you can't use a GreatWeapon with it maybe) so it's 30pts you have to think about.
Tuff Bonez Magic armour, 40pts
In life, this particular Orc was resilient even for a member of his species. Now, in death, he's made all the tougher.
Light armour with a 6+ Ward save. Bearer is immune to Killing Blow.
Designer's Note: Not too sure about the cost here. It's a small Ward & LA, but the immunity to KB might bump up the cost. I'd still like to see it on a Hero though...
Mork's Deff Rattle Arcane Item, 30pts
The Orcs believe that, upon death, they hear the shaking of Mork's staff. Or a cannon. Some NecroShamans have learned to replicate this sound to bring back fallen Warriors. The rattle that is, not the cannon.
May be used in one of 2 ways:
1. Once per game the Shaman may use it to add an extra casting dice to a Raise Dead spell.
2. Once per game the Shaman may summon a unit of 2d6 Goblin zombies (treated as a Bound Spell, power level 3).
Designer's Note: Yeah, once again on the cheap side. But it's a once per game thing, and to be fair I'm at uni after 3hrs sleep again :P
Thoughts?
Cheers!

Kurbog - May 8, 2006 02:59 AM (GMT)
Kurbog's Old Bashy Club
No-one knows quite why Kurbog threw this away, only that he was quite unhappy with it. It should be noted at this point that his warband were quickly aware of this and there was a general clearing-out. After the brawl that ensued, Grimtoof and Gobblegutz were never the same...
This club gives the bearer Killing Blow that can be used against models of all sizes, including things on 40mm, 50mm and any similar variation. In addition, any enemy model killed by the bearer is returned to the field under the Orc player's command with a single wound remaining. It acts as normal, forming part of any friendly unit within 4'' of the same base size (20mm and 25mm are grouped together). If there is no applicable friendly unit within range, the model forms its own unit of a single model, following all the rules for characters except for "Look Out, sir!". After it dies under the Orc player's command, it's gone for good, even if the enemy can use Necromantic spells.
Not sure on the points for this one.
Borzag - May 8, 2006 05:27 AM (GMT)
I'd say 100 or so Kurborg. KB on everything's pretty powerful, as is the ability to make the bearer a unit. So yeah, 100.
Kurbog - May 8, 2006 09:00 AM (GMT)
Thanks. It is quite damned powerful, but I would make it 90 points, just to make sure it actually got used, especially considering the poor armour of Orcs.
Chris - May 8, 2006 11:51 AM (GMT)
Talismans:
Da Soul Steala
PTS: 50
This black staff once belonged to a mighty and(relatively) wise goblin nukrumanzer. He used this very dangerous staff to rip the soul out of his enemys, but one of his pupils stole it and tried to take the soul of his teacher. But he accidently took it the wrong way...
Once each battle(any turn) you may try to use the staff against an enemy multi wounded model with a range of 12". Then roll a D6 if you roll a "3" or more then the staff works and steals the soul of the enemy(killed), on a roll of "2" then nothing happens but on a "1" then he take the staff the wrong way and are losing his own soul(killed).Deamons, Undead Constructs, Warmachines and Undead are immune against Da Soul Steala.
What do you think?
Chris
Gaargod - May 8, 2006 04:38 PM (GMT)
well that's just harsh....... and definitely hard to price.
I mean, with no way of saving it or protecting yourself from it at all you can kill a greater daemon.
I suggest making it about 20pts BUT only once per game. Also 4+ to steal soul, 2-3 nothing happens, on 1 it goes wrong.
Groundshaka Club - 50pts
This huge spiked club is the weight of many goblins and its impact on a body is truly terrifying - the force it exerts on the victim shatters armour and can squish body parts through bone and flesh. Of course, this does distract the undead bearer, having a taste for brains as they do.
Gives the model the braindead rule.Great Weapon. No armour saves allowed.

I ment to write no armour svaes and it shouldnt count against deamons who dont have souls.

Borzag - May 9, 2006 09:50 AM (GMT)
Hmm what about adding "Does not work on models with the Undead, Undead Construct or Daemonic rules", to cover everything? And for 30pts it's still a bargain, even with only Ward saves and once per game... 50 if you want it to be taken on a Hero maybe?
Also, I just came up with another one:
Speshull Wrappin' Magic Armour, 60pts
In some VERY rare cases, a fallen hero will not just be buried in a cairn or consumed, but mummified by Great Shamans in the manner of the ancient Khemrians. Such heroes will be protected by the Godz themselves, but tend to burn well...
Grants a 4+ Ward save and Magic Resistance (2). Bearer gains the Flammable rule.
Designer's Note: Once again, on the cheap side. But it's only a Ward and MR2, with no armour, so in order to get better than a 4+ save would be to use an Enchanted Shield on a dead piggy or a dead chariot. Plus hey, Flammable. It's rare but it happens...
Cheers!

Changed it, also took warmachines to it.

Mork-and/or-Gork - May 12, 2006 12:44 PM (GMT)
I think you should make it a specially bound spell... Maybe cast on power level 4 on any multi-wound model with no armor saves allowed. If they are really afraid of it, it would help your magic phase too.
Gorkermorker - May 25, 2006 03:34 PM (GMT)
Broken Sandglass 75pts one use only
The glass of this ancient artifact is broken on all sides, but sometimes it will still spill a small amount of the extermely powerfull dark sand
Roll a D6 if the result is 1-5, nothing happens, if the result is a 6 your opponent has to move all his units (whether they're in combat or not) back the same distance he has moved them in his last movement phase (including charges and fleeing units).
Warlord Ghazak Gazhkull - May 25, 2006 06:45 PM (GMT)
Intresting looking magic items, keep theses ideas coming.

Da Flail of Fingers
This magical flail are made of the fingers of some of the most powerfull of necromancers and shamans, nothing may stand against this because the fingers gnaws trough the soul as it do against the flesh of the victim.
PTS: 75
Counts as a Flail. No armour saves are allowed against wounds caused by the flail. It also cause D3 wounds on the charge.

The Great Unclean One - June 11, 2006 12:55 PM (GMT)
| QUOTE |
Banner of Terror: 40pts This unit now causes terror. |
The Hell Banner in the VC list is 60 points and does the same thing, so you might want to raise the points of that.
Da Speedkilla 50 points
This massive ball and chain was recovered from the corpse of a Fanatic after he got too dizzy and strangled himself.
The model carrying this 2 handed weapon always hits first, regardless of having been charged. (Normal rules apply for other models hitting first too.) The bearer can choose whether to make his normal attacks or he can choose to swing the ball and chain madly, meaning all enemy units in contact with the bearer suffer D6 hits at the base S of the bearer, with armour saves disallowed.
Thoughts?
Tanker_gobbo - June 11, 2006 02:04 PM (GMT)
That could be 18 s5 hits for 50 points?
And something else, alot of the items are taken from pirate orcs, and it would be more sense in pirates wielding other pirates weapons, then undead orcs doing it.
The Great Unclean One - June 11, 2006 02:19 PM (GMT)
Oh, bad wordng...

Arcane Item:
Da Enchunted Staff
Some of the mightiest(or possibly stupidest) nekromunzers sometimes channel some of their power into a staff. The staff is then infused with the powers the nekromunzer which he cant use himself. But with the draining of power the nekromunzer also channel a part of himself and this may eventually destroy him if his will isnt powerfull enough.
Points: 35
Grants the bearer an additional spell and he may use 1 more free power dice on the spell from the staff. Each turn after the magic turn make a ld test on the wizard, if he fails he suffers one S10 hit this automaticly hits.

Da Bitey Skull
taken from a zombified shaman this skull is still refusing to accept that it may just be time to met mork.
bearer gets one additional attack in close combat which is made whith the killing blow. also the skull offers magical resistance.
points: 20, 30? idunno.

Soul Burna' - 45 points.
One Use Only.
Bound Item, power level 4.
When the bound spell is cast (after any rolls to dispel), choose a single target enemy model within 24 inches. You may take any number of power dice from your magic pool (they are used up for this turn) Roll the power dice. Take the total of the dice, and multiply it by 10. If the total is more than or equal to the total points cost of your target, the enemy model is destroyed.
(Reason for costing of 45 points: Soul Burna' + Power Stone = 70 points. On average, using two power dice (Power Stone) with the Burna' kills a 70-point model.)
emoe - June 22, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
maibe some fluff with the soul burna? its cool to have fluff for each magic item :)

Cunninglybrutal - June 25, 2006 01:33 PM (GMT)
Wow, the soul burna sounds nasty !. Yeah, some background would be ace.
Cheers!

This sounds like the perfect army for the crown of sorcery. Just a thought.
Dead Blood Brew: 40pts.
This is what happens when you combined Skaven Blood, Elf Blood, and Shaman Spit.
At the beginning of a challenge, before either side stricks, the champion may drink this brew giving him a 5+ ward save and 1+ St. Also, if he is not wielding a magic weapon his attacks are now considered magical for the duration of the challenge.
Spear of the Dea' one: 50pts.
Taken from a Vampire Lord's treasure, the spear grants the bearer the ability to smite all other spirits.
The Spear auto hits on ethereal creatures and deamons.
Da Hook - July 18, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
Nekromunzer's Stick (Working name [Talisman])
40 points
General cannot use (Nekromunzers give them to followers, after all.)
-This is based off of the Jade Amulet from the Empire treasure vault.
Nekromunzers know how to thwart death, at least temporarily. The Nekromunzer's Stick is one such tool used to prolong the life of the nekromunzer's followers. Those who are offered an item to prolong life are only too glad to accept it, until the side effects kick in, of course.
The model holding the Nekromunzer's Stick discounts the first unsaved wound suffered in the game. After the wound is discounted, however, the grisly side effects begin to appear, making the model "braindead" for the rest of the battle.
Spirity Slicer (Weapon)
30 points
Nekromunzers only
One of the most surprising weapons in the Nekromunzer arsenal is the Spirity Slicer. Nekromunzers, having quite high opinions of themselves, crafted these items in order to allow themselves to survive combat with the best the Old World has to offer, at least in theory.
Whenenever the wielding Nekromunzer issues a challenge, he gets +1S and +2A for that combat round. Note that whether or not the challenge is accepted, the bonuses will take effect.
I think the preceeding items are good in specialized circumstances and are something that wouldn't be expected.
Chris - July 18, 2006 07:24 AM (GMT)
They look good, but i think the Nekromunzer's Stick have to high points cost perhaps 35?
Chris
Mork-and/or-Gork - July 18, 2006 01:45 PM (GMT)
Dah Blood Drinka Pts: 100
Taking after the example set by the vampires of the Von Carstein line, or Nekromanzuh's crafted this artifact.
Killing Blow against Monsters and large targets. Cannot join units. Any model slain by killing blow is ressurected with the braindead rule and joins the Nekromunzah in a new unit. This unit can keep growing and can have mixed models in the unit as long as they have the same base size.
Thought this would be a cool Anti- One-hit wonder creature, and potentially your own one-hitwonder.
Da Hook - July 18, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
You could mix base sizes if you did away with rank bonuses for the "mutant" unit. Just my (2c) .
Mork-and/or-Gork - July 20, 2006 11:49 AM (GMT)
I was thinking so you don't have a shaggoth surrounded by minotaur's. Also no infantry bonus because a magic weapon's points just don't go that high! :P
Chris - July 23, 2006 07:31 PM (GMT)
It looks good, but perhaps make it only work against ogre sized opponents? So that they cant ressurect dragons and such? And should it work against Daemons?
Chris
Da Hook - July 23, 2006 11:07 PM (GMT)
Almost a week and no new ideas... here goes nothing, I suppose.
Ovatime Banner [or Deff Banner] (Banner)
30 pts.
Common Goblins Only
Goblins... always at the bottom of the barrel. The Nekromunzers have found a way to make sure that they fight on even after that regiment of knights plows into them.
This unit is permanently affected by the Death Dealer spell.
Undead Trinketz (Talisman)
20 pts.
Riddled with various dark energies, the Undead Trinketz are an immense, yet unpredictable, power source.
When in close combat, roll 2d6 each turn. If doubles are not rolled, the character gets +1A. If doubles are rolled, the character suffers a S4 hit with no armor saving throws allowed. Additionally, a 6+ ward save is in effect at all times.
