Yo
Im not very good at Networking or that type area and wanting to know if you can help me on this.

I have got this query about LAN, i have a small network set at home 3 pc via adsl roater. The case is that i want to host and some of my ports are behind firewall and the ports are blocked, problem is i need to port forward it ?so that an outside user can see the external ip not the gateways ip.

I have tryd to mess around with adsl settings like create virtual server and that but that didn’t work.

Any help would be appreciated

Well if anyone still cares... .You will probably have to set the firewall to let outside tcp/ip connections access certain ports. If your router uses an ip and then issues ips to the other computer on the network the when you want someone to access a computer inside your network they would have to type an address like this in the address bar in a browser --> 169.254.142.2:2082 that meaning the ROUTERS' IP ADDRESS:port

I hope that made a little bit of sense.
