Yo
Im not very good at Networking or that type area and wanting to know if you can help me on this. I have got this query about LAN, i have a small network set at home 3 pc via adsl roater. The case is that i want to host and some of my ports are behind firewall and the ports are blocked, problem is i need to port forward it ?so that an outside user can see the external ip not the gateways ip. I have tryd to mess around with adsl settings like create virtual server and that but that didn’t work. Any help would be appreciated |

Well if anyone still cares... .You will probably have to set the firewall to let outside tcp/ip connections access certain ports. If your router uses an ip and then issues ips to the other computer on the network the when you want someone to access a computer inside your network they would have to type an address like this in the address bar in a browser --> 169.254.142.2:2082 that meaning the ROUTERS' IP ADDRESS:port
I hope that made a little bit of sense. |
