Ahh, spring. The flowers are blooming and the sky is beautiful and clear. Prey is everywhere and all the wolves are having a great time. Pups are also abundant this season, but best of all it's very warm, well that's good for most wolves, Soron wolves may feel a bit overheated this season.

Loki brushed against the shrubbery and Spring plants boldly. His ears were pricked, and he placed each pawstep down carefully, to avoid tripping. Already he had tripped in a rabbit hole, having only managed to smell it when it was too late. He was glad that no one had seen that. In new territory, he was a klutz. He liked this place though.. there was no smell of blood pressing in on him from all sides. After he had crossed the border he took a deep breath of clean air for the first time in his life. It was wonderful... and then he made his way here.

Normally he didn't need eyes to see. He could use his nose and ears, and in tight spaces his whiskers to guide him. It wasn't even a big deal, being blind. To him anyways. To everyone else, he was poor little Loki, blind and helpless. To him, he was just... Loki. Just Loki. Loki who was exploring loner lands for the first time, and loved it. Truly he did. His tall (for a pup anyways) form and dark and light grey speckled fur blended here. His muscles now were soft and he was not used to walking so far, so he was slow, but soon he would be powerful and handsome. Already he was quite handsome.

His paws dipped into the river unexpectedly, and he jumped back onto the pebbly shore. He hadn't been paying attention, and the river had caught him off guard. So he just dipped his head and lapped up some of the water to make up for his clumsy movements. Then he lifted his head, settled on his haunches, and looked up. Or at least he seemed to be looking up. When you're blind you don't look anywhere. He just naturally knew where the sky was. So he scented the rabbits and other animals creeping in the background. Maybe he would try and catch one...

Aki had swam all the way upsteam, though she didn't know it. Her pretty turqouise fur, long as it was, glowed as it flowed around her. Her large eyes, silver and blue swirled together, looked around in slight panic. Her tail flicked back and forth. She had no clue where she was. No clue at all. So she swam up. Straight up.

Her head broke the surface and she was met by an almost chill air. She gasped at what she saw. She nearly fainted actually. Tall brown things with green and other colors at the tips. Green on the ground. Strange new smells that were so pretty it made her heart soar. And another smell that made her head turn from the beauty of the blue sky and white clouds and bright sun she had never seen before.

A wolf. He was all kinds of grays and had the most stunning gray blue eyes. The sun shone around the edges of his fur. And what astounded her more than his extreme good looks was that at the bottom, instead of a fish tail....

He had legs!

Four legs! He had four legs and a little fluffy tail at his bottom! And he knew she was there too. His head snapped around and she flushed, trying to sink into the bottom of the ravine again. But he couldn't see her, and it struck her hard. He was... blind...! That was another word she knew naturally. Blind... and that was one that wasn't pleasant.

"O-oh..." she stammered, her sweet voice still crackly from never having been used before. "H-hello, fourlegs. My name is Aki. Do you know where my den is? I went too far and now I seem to have s-stumbled u-upon this weird place of many colors and fourlegs."

She edged closer, feeling the crumbly shore and nearly slipped. Her paws had never felt anything like it! Then she edged up. Her fur was.. drying. She didn't quite know the word, but it was strange. Very strange. Dry. It was something she had never been before. Dry. She blinked back the dry wind. Dry. She rose out of the water.

A sharp gasp escaped her as her fur dried suddenly. All four paws were on land. Yes, four! She had small, lithe paws and longish looking back legs, with her beautiful sparkling turqoise fur and a long feathery tail. Her eyes went wide with surprise.

"I-I have f-four legs too!" she squeeled.

Then Aki fainted.

Loki's head snapped to the side as some sound caught his attention. A splash? Maybe a fish. He couldn't smell through the water. It was pure and strange smelling though. A bit fishy, yes.

Then a voice cracked the silence. A wolf? A she-wolf by the sound of it. At last he smelled her. She was his age, maybe a few days younger. She was unsure too, almost frightened. Suddenly it caught him. He realized it as suddenly as his attention had turned from the sky and darkness to this sweet smelling, almost fishy fae. "Hey.... you must be a Raasa wolf..."

She spoke strangely. Really strange. Like she didn't know where she was or what she was doing or where she was going. She must be a Raasa wolf. Another splash. Her fin hitting the water. Was she a spy, even at such a young age? His nose twitched and he concentrated on her scent.

Your voice speaks of confusion, and your heart says the same.

She was no threat. At least not yet. He blushed feverishly a bit at how she addressed him. Fourlegs?

"I have fourlegs because I'm a Ruukina wolf! My name is Loki. What the heck are you doing so far from home, ocean scum?" he snapped rather rudely. And there it was. The longest string of words he had ever spoken in his life, right to this girl he didn't even know.

He heard her step out of the water. And gasp. A strange feeling came over him. "H-hey!" He could sense her terror and rising panic, and knew what came next. Tall, stable, handsome, young Loki rushed to the fae's side as she collapsed, and she fell against him.

Her scent now overcame him, and he almost fainted too. So salty, and yet he liked it so much! He spoke rudely, but he was getting dizzy with her scent and her politeness. She was so small! So light! Her fur strangely wasn't wet. It was dry and silky soft and smelled gently of salt and fish and sand. He grasped her scruff and gently pulled her over to a patch of soft wildflowers, and lay her down in them. Oh, that was just heavenly! That smell! Sweet flowers and salt! He breathed it in and his mind spun. But he shook the feeling off, and irritably began prodding her with his paw. "Wake up sea-wolf!" (his own spin on the word she-wolf), "You have to get home! Speaking of which, I have to get home!"

.: Loki is busy prodding the "sea-wolf." That must hurt! Okay, not really.. :.

((OOC: okay, someone can rush and come get Aki now! Kraken better run for his life. He can follow her scent now. ^^ ))

Kraken walked along the river, his eyes filled with great sorrow. Pert of a Raasa wolves scent is the water, and Aki, wherever she was, had lost that long ago. He had been padding along the river now for quite a while. He could smell a bit of sea salt, but it was impossible to tell whether or not it was Aki, or if it was just the wind. The rank scent of the Ruukina did blow here though. He wondered why. Ruukina wolves barely ever stepped paw on the loner lands; they thought it to be degrading. His heart was filled with nothingness now. Unless the Ruukina had taken Aki, she was most certainly dead.

Then something wonderful filled his gaze. Aki! He could see her. Her tiny form by the river, a bit dry from what he could tell but otherwise perfectly fine. His daughter was fine. His heart lifted, joy filling his eyes. He had found her; their happy little family could be together again. He smiled. Of course he still had to get back, but otherwise he didn’t really care how long he had to travel if he was with Aki. He ran to his daughter’s tiny turquoise body.

Then he snarled. A small Ruukina wolf was prodding his pup, he growled viciously. Who did this pup think he was? He leapt forward, and aimed a hard bat at the pup with his paw. If it made contact the fowl thing would be knocked off its feet. He couldn’t tell if it had worked, as he was too blinded by rage. He glared down at the insignificant gray scrap, if he killed him here and now, surely no one would notice. But he mustn’t do that it was only a pup, but still, why had it been poking his pride and joy?

He growled and spat furiously at the pup.
“Listen fur ball, I don’t know who you think you are, or what you were doing to Aki, but I assure you, if I see you around my daughter again, you’re fox food. You better prey to Lexa that you don’t come within ten feet of her for the rest of your life.” He growled. With that he walked over and picked up his beautiful bundle of fur and padded into the river. They were off to the ocean once more, and if Aki could here, boy, was she going to get a talking to.

~Kraken has left the area.

Aki heard a ferocious snarl. Oh yes, she could still here. She also heard the four-legged wolf, Loki, too. He said something. She had heard what he said before she had fainted, something about being a Ruukina wolf, her being "ocean scum" and getting home. Home... her eyes blinked open, and she smelled a terribly wonderful smell of flowers and sweet things. And also...

"D-daddy..." she moaned, shaking her head to clear it of groggy thoughts. Her eyes cleared, and she saw her father, lashing out at the wolf called Loki furiously. She squeeled and closed her eyes again, not wanting to see him hit. Then she leapt to her paws and tried to stumble up, but he had already grabbed her by the scruff and was taking her home. "Daddy! Daddy its okay! See? He didn't hurt me! I'm fine! Really! Fine! I came here and when I touched the green on the ground my tail went away! I saw this wolf and then everything went black! He was helping me, really!" she tried frantically to explain, writhing free of her father's grasp and nearly tackling the black/grey pup that had helped her. Her tiny paws skidded to a halt. He was so big! At least twice as big as her, maybe more. He was still a bit small for a Ruukina wolf though. She didn't know that.

She touched noses with him gently and licked his ear thankfully. "Thank you, Loki." she breathed, before waving her tail in farewell and dashing off on fast but clumsy new land paws and after Kraken. "Sorry daddy." She said anxiously, burying her nose in his fur. "But I had.. an adventure!" She nodded thoughtfully and followed after him, casting one last glance back at Loki and smiling mischeviously. No matter what Kraken said, maybe they would see each other again. And be friends too.

Loki bristled at the approach of another wolf. But wait... this wolf smelled like the ocean too! Oh great, another Raasa wolf. He stared blankly at him. He smelled frantic! Terrified and relieved at the same time, furious, confused, and a bit bitter. Loki twinged at the protectiveness of the smell. He almost stepped back.

He was about to open his mouth and speak when the wolf suddenly lashed out at him. It caught him off guard, and blind as he was, got hit straight in the chest. Loki's snarl at the smell of an attack was cut off short, and he was thrown back off of his feet, hitting the ground hard. His nose grazed the ground, and his chest hurt. He leapt straight back onto his paws though, shaky but apparently unphased. His hackles rose, his teeth bared in an aggressive snarl, his tail shot into the air, and he almost attacked back. He didn't care if this was an alpha (the strong scent and bold air told all), he would shred him! How dare he lay a paw on him! Fox food?! How dare he call him fox food?! His eyes flashed again, and he took a bold step forward.

"Listen you, I don't care who you are or who you think you are, but you're stupider than a Raasa wolf is supposed to be! Its like trying to show hedgehogs to worms! They're too blind to see whats right in front of them. I didn't hurt her, she fainted! She's the furball around here!" Sure he was the blind one, but he wasn't stupid. And he didn't like being pushed around either.

The tiny sea-wolf was awake and being dragged away. She shouted a few things, like frantic explainations, and then wriggled free. He stiffened as she ran for him and nearly bowled him over. His teeth bared once more, but he stopped immediatly and stood in shocked silence as she touched his nose with her's, licked his ear, and whispered something to him. He could have been dreaming, or fainted, but he just stood, face frozen in a look of shock. His paws and ears began to feel hot with a blush. "Tshuh." He turned his head away with an expression or irritation as they left. "Yea, whatever. Stupid furball." he muttered, whiskers twitching.

He was glowing inside though. He didn't know why, but Loki was glowing inside. What would his mother say... when he came home talking?

Technically, that didn't matter right now. He had only explored a little bit of the land. So he turned and walked off, to where he didn't exactly know. His nose would lead him... maybe...
