A i have said before i deleted my original post which was to "advertise" the 1/2 penny event & my following posts so now they are slagging off members of that forum & it realy does begger belief that the "MODS" are allowing it to carry on all it is doing & they (the mods) are allowing it is adding another nail in the coffin.

Mods?
I wonder if they doing their job. I have PM all three of them and so far no reply.

Suddenly found a scrap of paper with a user name and password so I am a member of the forum after all. I therefore decided to make one post on the Halfpenny thread and have left it at that.

Expect to be shot down by cyber snipers if you go on those other forums. I did when I first got into re-enactment, mistakenly thinking it would be a nice place to swap ideas and experiences. Real re-enactors just go to events and get on with the job; wannabe re-enactors just sit there on their keyboards flicking poison at anyone they think they will get a reaction from. Saddo Stitch Nazis with no mates: that's all they are. They think they're the only with ones with the "unique knowledge" and they'll fight their copyrighted corner to point out the failings of everyone else trying to emulate them. "Constructive criticism" doesn't figure in their vocabulory. As Wayne once correctly put it, they "throw out the bait, then reel you in". Personally, I haven't been on that WWII Re-enactors forum in over 9 years. Guess what? When I go re-enacting, I have fun. The cyber snipers on those forums wouldn't know what "fun" means; they're all so far up their own @rses, they're permanently stuck there. ninja.gif
