I know this is a real 'long shot', but does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of sewing patterns for men' battledress trousers and if so where from please?
I've looked on ebay and other places but no success there!
Best wishes Miriam

There probably isnt such a thing as these would only have gone to the factories that made them.

Patterns are laid out and pinned to many layers of cloth and cut out with a thing like a jig saw, and then the patterns are thrown away.

If there is such a pattern it will probably cost you more than buying a pair of trousers and taking them apart......... then make a pattern and copies and sell them. smile.gif

I have thought of taking a pair apart and using as a template ( I have taken garments to bits before to do this) but I would have liked a pattern if possible but was probably aware that it was not an option.
regarding making copies for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a site on Ebay from Leeds selling army wool khaki at £3 a metre so that sound interesting!
