Well done Martins for having the bottle to take the ball under pressure and score a vital penalty. What price composure ? How does a player be so confident taking a penalty then not so in general play ? Turning point ? Hopefully. He always looks worried doesn't he ? Well he's only been here for a few months !
Well done Nicky Butt for being the best player in the last few games. I thought he and Emre would be similar to Parker and Emre but Butt is playing better than Parker, and Emre is now getting forward more and filling the gap between midfield and the forwards. Cracking winner. A turning point for him ? More of the same please, especially in away games. Starting this saturday. Followed up with the Saturday after ..... Well done Sibierski too, he's surprised everybody. The new goal king. He's developing a good understanding with Martins. Who'd have thought it eh ? Bet Man City fans are gutted, losing him and Andy Cole in the summer. Souness wasn't the manager was he ? Keep it up lads. Is Nobby Solano now the best right back in the world ? He has played there for Peru you know. Andy Gray didn't know though, so he doesn't know everything after all. Well done Nigel Pearson, he seems to have made a difference. Sometimes things can turn your way in football by accident rather than design. Wish Kevin Bond all the best at Bournemouth though. Babayaro out. -------------------- "When you do that with footballers, like he said about Leeds... I've kept
really quiet, but I'll tell you something, he went down in my estimations when he said that. We have not resorted to that, but I'll tell you, you can tell him now, he'll be watching this, we're still fighting for this title. He's got to go to Middlesbrough and get something. I'll tell you honestly, I would love it if we beat them, love it." http://howaythetoon1nufc.wordpress.com/ |

Well said.
Sib has certainly put those who thought his arrival a waste, in their place. What I really find interesting are the recent performances of a number of players. These guys are playing with unfamiliar partners, getting used to changed tactics etc and are getting reults. Yet Roeder regards 8 1st choice players as injured. I hope he doesn't Benitez the tean and change it for the sake of change. For example Nobby at right back. He's not perfect (not much recent practice) but he is better than Carr, in whom I am very dissapointed. Relly its the form and performing players who should be in and not selection by buying price and wage level. |

Not blowing my own trumpet bit i touted solano for left back a long time ago. I knew he had played for peru there and done a job and with our only other option being steven carr he's our best option
