Why single out Ameobi for that title at least half the squad fit that criteria this season.

What annoys me the most is players still get the same money when they are injured. Martins reported sick on Saturday so why not chop his wage down to £1000 for that week. My guess is they would soon be back in training if that was the case when injured.
fair point, I actually would agree with a pay as you play clause in contracts, win bonuses etc.....performance related pay.
There are also players who haven't performed but Ameobi has been putting on that shirt and going through the motions for a long time now.
The difference when Carroll came on was quite marked wasn't it ? And all he did was show desire for the shirt [apart from scoring the goal !!!] surely that isn't too much to ask from Ameobi on a more regular basis
Ameobi isn't a footballer imo and should never wear the black and white stripes again.
