Personality: Torin has a fun side to him but is much harder and serious most of the time.

Biography: Torin Borasia was the only child born to his parents Orlaeus and Teara on the planet of his birth and childhood, Dantooine. Life on Dantooine under the empire wasn’t easy but his family made it through. Never too poor but with no real wealth to speak of, Torin made the best of his time exploring the deep and interesting ruins and buildings around his homeworld.

He realized early on that he had instincts better than most and asked his parents about it often during his middle childhood. They always said he just had the quick Borasia reactions and good luck and to pay no attention to it. During his teen years as the Empire and Rebellion were fighting out the Galactic Civil War, he found out on his own that the so called Borasia reaction and luck was actually the Force. When he confronted his parents about it they said they kept it from him to protect him because of the Empire hunting force users. Torin took it at face value and moved on.

As Torin grew older and the war ended he studied what he could about the force which while it wasn’t much, did make him crave to be more in control of his powers. Finally as a young man he spent some time at the famed Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. He didn’t feel that he fit the mold they were creating and generally felt like being a Jedi just wasn’t his thing. Still Torin stayed for a short time and learned as much as he could while keeping to himself the whole time. Eventually he felt it was time to leave and go his own way. Though he had no love or hate for the Jedi way, he was glad to have gained the ability to control his powers.

Making a living as well as he could, Torin’s world changed when everyone’s did after the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Feeling like he should do what he could to help, he joined any group he could ranging from pirates to smugglers. Shortly into his first one on one encounter with the Vong, Torin found himself nearly defeated with cuts and small burns on his face. He would have been killed if not for quick thinking and his desperate us of the force which allowed him to draw a fallen sword through the back of the head of the warrior that was only moments from ending his life.

He didn’t have immediate access to bacta other than salve and was left with some scaring on the left side of his face as well as burn marks that trace directly through his eyes. Shortly after that he joined the ranks of a different force user group he had heard of called the Cryth. He has been with them and done what needed to be done as dictated by leaders such as Kyrton. Torin feels that Kyrton is the type of force user and leader that the galaxy needs to defeat the Yuuzhan Vong and feels an allegiance towards him.

Likes: living life to it’s fullest and having fun, killing as many Vong as he can so as to be able to get back to living life again.

Dislikes: All things Yuuzhan Vong, Uppity Holier than though Jedi, New Republic politics

Strengths: Strong force user and very good with a lightsaber, decent pilot

Weaknesses: Tends not to plan actions and battles but just goes with the flow… this can get him in trouble and has in the past. Piloting skills not good enough to stay and dog fight in a space battle.

Fears: Capture by the Yuuzhan Vong and what they might do to the galaxy if they win.
