Dueling Ring

[Mazul Serq]

Serq roared in rage as an infidel's weapon slashed at his back. He let go of his amphistaff and whirled around with a coufee blade in each hand. The mangled snarl of his face grinned in putrid satisfaction as he turned around. His living armor had protected him from the blow. Still, no Yuuzhan Vong warrior liked being surprised.

Lex slightly moved back from the Vong after making her strike and took a defensive stance as he turned around. Now that his attention was on her, she hoped that the Anzati might be able to get an attack in. Truly, the faster they could end this the better, so she did the only other thing she could think of. She twirled her two lightsabers as she readjusted herself and took on more of an agressive stance. Instead of making a move, she stared the Vong right in the eye as if to dare him to come at her. She wasn't totally sure what her next move would be if he did, but she figured the Force would guide her and so there was really no point in worrying about it that much.

Serq called his amphistaff back, and quickly snapped it into a rigid form, holding it diagonal in front of him. It would be a challenge fighting two foes at once.

The one female infidel was staring him down. He chose to attack her first. Lunging in with an overhead strike, he swept the amphistaff down hard, letting the reverberatting collision rattle through him.

Effortlessly, he switched the amphistaff into a whip, and snapped it back at Azel, keeping her on the defensive. But he soon turned his attention back at Lexy, delivery placed blows in staggered emphasis.

In his offhand, he kept a coufee at the ready, using it to spare wild strikes at Azel, hoping to keep her from pressing an attack.

Lex wasn't surprised at all when the Vong started attacking her. The first blow made her think twice about letting this become too much of a physical fight as the blow knocked her slightly off balance. She recovered when he turned his attention to Azel and put a little be more distance between him and her. So when he started attacking her again, she was careful to mostly dodge the blows that were coming at her. She kept her one lightsaber at the ready for every blow that came her way but soon she didn't think that was enough.

She grabbed one of her blasters from her side and quickly started letting off rounds at the Vong. She was careful to use the Force to make sure her shots wouldn't miss the Vong and hit her temporary alley, so she aimed for the seems in his armor. She didn't really keep a note on how many, if any, actually did any damage to him or not. Honestly that wasn't the point, because all she really wanted to do was to make him focus on her enough that just maybe Azel would be able to take him out.

Azel watched as Lexi poured blaster fire into the Vong warrior. His vonduun crab armor began to char and burn from the onslaught, but more noticeable, his movements became less fluid.

Lexy had scored a hit.

With the Vong's guard weekend, Azel went in for the kill. She shot her foot into the back of the alien's cafe, jarring him down and forward. As his amphistaff slung around horizontally, she parried with her lightsaber, bouncing off his weapon and reversing her strike at the base of his skull.

The glowing, searing blade chopped down through the spindly crab arms of his arm and pierced through to his flesh. She would have decapitated her foe, but the hissing blade became lodged in the vonduun's protective spikes around the neck and shoulders.

Serq snapped around with bloodshot eyes, foam drooling out of his lacerated lips. He screamed in rage with blood pulling around his neck, spurts jutting out like a crimson sprinkler.

Then the mighty warrior crashed to the ground. A horrific gouge burned into the side of his throat tracing back from the jawline to his back.

But there was no time to celebrate. With all the foes in the ring, it was not long before others came to challenge them.

Lex was glad to see the Vong fall and gave a slight nod to Azel before glancing around the arena. She spotted the spider guy swinging in toward another man and quickly sensed them through the Force. Imediately she knew Agathon's presance but only felt somewhat familiar with the other man. She glanced back at Azel and smiled.

"Catch up to you later." She gave a slight and polite bow before using the Force for speed as she took off across the arena headed towards Agathon and the Spiderman, making sure to pull up her hood before she got very close to them. She would let Agathon know it was her but she would also hope he'd keep it to himself. She still didn't want the Jedi to know where she was or what she was up to just yet. The whole Jedi Order needed to stay in the dark for a while longer.
