I have been tracking two rares I now own, seeing if I earn or lose money with every 24-hour span. The results are as follows, thanks to the self-checker system introduced a few years back.

Feel free to post your own item checks if you know an item that is rising or falling, so other members of NG can sell early and avoid a costly loss, or buy in, and earn some good merchanting pay.

Second day in a row, and I've lost another 1m per mask, per day. Decided to try my luck, and sell them while I am ahead of the merchants, and hope the prices keep falling, rather than rising back up before Halloween.

Let's see if I miss out like when I sold my Red H'ween Mask for 12m, and now the price rose to around 42m.

Back when "smokin_mils" jsut started i joined its merch of the uncut dragonstone i got 10 at 47k each and i sold then they were 116k each i made around a million i think

Nice, how long did that take to earn?

And while I was leading world 99 sc for "FAST SC", they were discussing merchanting, and everyone was saying how this update didn't affect prices (which losing 4m in 2 days on 2 items seems like an affect if you ask me), and how the price of Santa Hat and H'ween Masks shall rise greatly before October 31st 2009.

But I still feel since the price only fell for the last 2 days before I posted the pricing, it would be a good time to cut my earnings (both items doubled in price), rather than be stuck with a couple of lemons (if the items fall below 12m before the holiday arrives).

lol thats not so bad erik, i had about 46m at my peak cash adn about the same time your mask fell in price my armadyl crashed oh good fight 7mil. as annoyed as i was now having less than 40m i sold a quickly as possible in fear of loosing more. 5 days on and arma is unobtainable and more expensive than before it crashed. sigh.

to top it off i died at tormented demonds with a good 6m on me. double sigh *is currently building it all back*

Well, I am observing every 24th hour at GE on the cheap rares, waiting for the time prices begin to rise, then I will buy in again.

keep me posted mate, i love the look of blue h masks and will buy one when/if they crash.

Slowly but surely, this entire week all of the masks have fallen 2+ million value. And we can expect a continual fall in these rares until next holiday rolls around.

Unsure if Santa Hat shall have a rebound rise before December 2009, but we will find out with each passing day. I'll do my best to keep this thread updated as the Grand Exchange gets updated usually around 6AM EST.

Fix: New feature added today, which shows the price flux from day to day, based on +/- scale. If you have trouble tracking prices, to know your loss or gain, simply look at the number following the lowest GE price, it shall tell you the profit/loss margin of your item investment. Item calculations provided by SwiftKit.

As of today, we have been informed that the Zybez price guide now offers a graph tracking for all items, updated every day at 6AM (USA EST) when the Grand Exchange is updated by JaGeX Staff.

Feel free to submit the names of items you wish to track, and they will be added to the quick link list in the first post of this topic. Only submit the names of items that actually prove to be decent merchanting items, and we shall review the data graph by Zybez, and determine if the item is worthy to promote to members of NG to also try their fate at the stock market of RuneScape2.
