2009/Mar/30 - FanSite Rights At Long Last, Our efforts for 6 years, paid off.

This is just sad, how we had to wait for the oppression by Mod Andrew over the entire staff at Jagex, for them to FINALLY be free thinkers, and review Rule-11 at long last.

With the recent changes of 2009, among the best, even more so than the unfilter of MANY offensive words, and the unfiltering of "Cath 9," was the altercation to Rule-11 ruined since 2005 August. Now 3 full years later, the Rule-11 ban on Kire667 has been lifted (I waited long and hard for enduring this wait, but finally our glorious time has arrived, we are triumphant!).

Read the new forum posts at Contact Us in the official forum of game. It appears Mod Hohbein is attempting to lead this long-awaited revert BACK to the ways of 2004, when RuneScape 1 only filtered one website from their game, EverQuest. And I can see why, is to attempt to contain the users in their game, while adding new rules yearly, and changing those without notice, so they could improperly ban millions of paid users. Obviously once false banned, a user becomes either enraged and goes all out to get back their rights or start a riot.. or the alternate option, they quit, give up, and find a real game with real rules and real support.

For those of us that held it out for the past 4 years, and knew this day would once occur, after all our efforts we put in toward it on th daily basis, and getting our side of the story heard. Now they are giving rights to clan and fan websites of RuneScape -- and not just being one-sided toward Rune Tips and Rune HQ.

We have our own forum topic that ALREADY gave full support of websites in RuneScape, by means of avoiding the previous forum rules, which said we didn't have a right to say "National Guard of Runescape" in RuneScape or on their forums.

The revolution has begun, March 30th 2009! Join the NGoR as we get back our rights to own a website for RuneScape, even if we gave up on the guides at website after 2006 -- after the final ban of Kire667, and my lost interest and faith in Jagex as a company for our game we use daily. Now is the time, let's unite and show Jagex they cannot false ban under Rule-11 for non "scam" websites furthermore.

Dinah: I love this new ruler. And I also noticed other posts at forum regarding how they want to have appeals on perm forum bans, because the staff of Forum Mods under Andrew's reign were "banhammer happy."

So I'm glad that now we are not the only ones to speak out about the injustice about the former Jagex Staff and moderators. But now others don't live in fear of speaking the truth, when it comes to the game they love and pay for.

Too bad so many others retired due to the changes of 2005 and 2007, never lived in the game or stuck it out to see the new golden age, same as how well the game was maintained during 2003, it is once again here in 2009. And I hope it stays this way, for a long time to come.

And it's easy to spot those members that have joined prior to 2009, and have not been active at forum. You will had the old forum ranking of High Council Member, when now we don't even list a King, Queen, or Viceroy. Ranks are only to staff of RScc, forum, website, IRC.

I've altered your rank on forum, according to which category you meet the requirements for. And good to see you once more at NG.

As for Mod Hohbein, he was the first of Jagex to actually consider the rights of websites on RuneScape, and to give us a fair chance, rather than claiming as did Mod Andrew and the entirety of the Jagex team, leading players and Player Moderators into the belief that all websites are corrupt (hack or scam player accounts). Only a handful, should never pass for the judgment over the whole.

Never trust JaGeX Ltd. Apart from their own Player Moderators in particular King_Cut and 3Reasons making claims that video websites at RuneScape have no place. And once JaGeX breaks Rule-11 by advertising a website on the RS News (YouTube), and promoting a user whom broke Rule-11 in forum (TehNoobShow posted YouTube on RuneScape), they all give full support for this mockery of past mutes/bans.

And all the while they accept websites and clans that own websites for their game, through forum user Mod Hohbein, they continue to unfairly ban websites that have been around longer than the game itself was even founded. And while we were the 3rd website to get involved in RuneScape (after Tip.it and RuneScapeCommunity, back in 2003), they continue to not mute/ban for mention to newer websites of the game whom have never touched the era of RuneScape Classic (RuneHQ).



Injustice is still at an all time high for JaGeX Ltd. Never trust the word of a handful of JaGeX Moderators, if the entirety are not enforcing the same set of rules listed on the website Runescape.com.

There is still a ways to go before we arrive at a safe game that accepts websites and clans in the game, rather than discrimination against all websites that don't fall within the set list of 3 websites.

By the way, I was reported by a non-moderator, new user whom woodcut our evil tree at world 9 within the past hour. In a matter of minutes, I was muted for 3 days, for simply speaking the truth.

Eh gf Jagex. Pretty lame. But honestly, is it really worth advertising to randoms about the site? When you start just adverting randomly, that's how people get suspicious unfortunately.
As lame as it is, i'd stick to only telling people over clan chat or pm to stay on the safe side, at least, until your site is accepted.
