Not just RuneScape either, just games in general. I'll admit, I play a lot of games, usually when I don't have anything else to do. As my friend's father used to say, "Work before play, because after the work is done, you can play all you want and not have to worry about a thing". Like Myke said, people DO have things they have to attend to. I mean, most of us are getting older, or of age to that extent, where we have to start getting jobs, planning for college, possibly dating (on Jimmy's case), or tons of other very important things in our lives. I used to post a lot, I'll admit it. But once I stopped playing RS, and started focusing on schooling, well... things change. (I don't have any work to do right now, so ) -------------------- |

So THIS is where everyone's been chilling for the past few days...
I been checking the forum, and have seen my name is the majority of the recent replies, with a few other topics discussed here and there. And I know I don't post THAT much per day, so it couldn't be that I am just overly posting. It's just everyone group up in a handful of topics and chill there, keeping in touch with the community that ISN'T living life at RScc. Myke: Goals help us keep focus on RuneScape. Without it, we have no goals, and thus nothing to set our life toward. I only post every month on mine, I don't post every time I get a level until after 90 is earned. So all good here. As for the "life" issue, that is so true. My life is my job. I sleep, shower, eat, and then go to work. What ever time is left over, I have to divide among forum and game. So 24-hour staffing is spread among several members, rather than a centralized person with no life what-so-ever. Very nice explanation you've conducted. Gary: Aw, the truth hurts sometimes. At least some of us have no qualms about being straight forward about what should be said. Kei Letal: I inboxed you, seeing as you are signed on as anonymous. And I agree fully with the "have a life" issue. I find it hard to get NG started in new games (current game is Borderlands for XB360), while keeping on top of reports at inbox, ranks and bans on RScc, and still manage to make the time for 40000 experience until level 94 fishing as Catherby 9. DragonSpeaker, Anthony: As as for honesty as spoken to Gary, for some cases, it isn't necessarily required. Jimmy4848: I'll also be busy with my "girl" if we had the money to see each other. But until such time, I'm busy with Runescape. Nex: Glad to hear it. You still over at Cabal Online? Shini: Yes, I fully agree. We need more discussions over at General Discussion or World News, and perhaps some people actually involved in the Game Database section, recruiting for other games, and gathering daily feedback of their own encounters in those games. Myrrhdyrrh: Lockerz? I'll check them out shortly. I have been on mainly to update the RScc daily active list, check new rank requests and reports, and then head back to XB Live. But I'll be sure to check soon, and see what that is all about. Infinde6: More or less, people are busy with school. After school is out, everyone will be back on the forum. But it will NEVER be like it was with 171 people on June 27th 2007, simply because Jagex ruined RuneScape. There is no way for us to gather donations over 5000 coin limit on the storage accounts NGoR1 through NGoR10, and we can not drop items without the use of Party Petes, which induces spam across the server, so it wouldn't be a private party for only NG members to benefit from. It also killed our mass recruitment because we can't inform players to register at the NG website to find the when and where on all Rune Armor drop parties. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC_hSy6_20s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fEWRj0jqK4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIhKVp5TNhs Those from the old days when RuneScape was fun, they all have retired for the most part. They are in other games, or no games at all. But we all keep in touch via this website/forum. And while RuneScape interests them no more, they can still post about the games that do interest them, or what they have been up to lately in reality. It tends to be a blame on both sides. As those active at Runescape are more active at RScc. Those that retired from Runescape are more active in real life. The combination results in what we currently see as "inactivity," yet in fact the forum is still very active, just it is readers not posters. Just wait until school is out, half of the year we have so much staff and not ample offenders. The other part of year we can't locate enough staff to handle the spamers and rule-breakers. So be happy for the down time, because it is sure to pick right back up where it left off once all them younger members return to RuneScape and NG. -------------------- |

As stated, you can see many, and my, reason for not being able to play. Studying and school. I try to stop by once and a while, now that I've settled into a good school/study schedule.

You probably wouldn't be interested. She's over 40.
But back on subject of this topic... I find it funny every time I read that title, and then see how many pages of responses are actually here. School is the devil, end of story. Every half of the year, hardly anyone gets on RuneScape, and just last night we've seen there was 0 population at world 9 Falador City. And maybe 20 in world 9 Catherby Village, if even that. It's a good thing there's clan chat, or we would hardly have contact besides on here at forum, or IF anyone is local in town to talk with. I <3 RScc -- keeps everyone connected, and all of the gossip and game news spreading like wildfire. -------------------- |
