INSTALLATION GUIDE


NOTE:
3 Things You Need:

1. A fully patched/updated and functional Ragnarok Game Client (pRO), clean and no other private servers installed.
2. The myro-installerV8.exe to install MyRO to your Ragnarok Game Client (pRO.
3. The RENEWAL FIX 2, ONLY if you are using an old Ragnarok Client which makes you often error. Copy/Paste this to your Ragnarok Game folder used for MyRO to fix errors. This is a manual patch we made for users of old and unpatched Ragnarok Game Clients.

NOTE: All of which can be downloaded from our website www.myro.tk, downloads page.

NOTE 2: If you dont have a Ragnarok Game Client to install MyRO to, Just download our MyRO Complete Pack. Its a fully patched Ragnarok game Client with ALL the MyRO Files already built. Also do the instructions for Windows Vista/Win7/Win8 users below.



INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINDOWS XP USERS (For lite installer):

1. Download the myro-installer.exe and install properly. Direct the installation to where exactly your Ragnarok Game Files are installed.
2. Patch your ragnarok game client pRO to the fullest to avoid errors. Do this by clicking the 'Ragnarok.exe' file inside your ragnarok folder and patching is done automatically.
3. If you cant seem to update your ragnarok then just download the renewal_fix (657MB) from the site www.myro.tk, downloads page. This file is a patch-up for your unpatched Ragnarok to keep it updated.
4. If your download keeps getting cut you may use a Download Manager like this one. for uninterrupted downloading. Install to use.
5. Copy and paste the downloaded renewal_fix to your ragnarok folder used for MyRO. Be sure the download was not prematurely cut and the file size is at 657 MB.
6. You may now launch the game, click the "MyRO!.exe" icon which was newly created in your desktop from your MyRO installation. Our MyRO Patcher will open and may patch if only patches are available during the time. Then click "START" to launch MyRO. (Always use patcher when playing)
7. After launching the Game and if you have an anti-virus installed and is blocking our program, just click "Allow" or "Ignore" when prompted. Our files are guaranteed virus free. If you are having 16888.exe file errors which your anti-virus keeps on deleting which causes the failure to launch please read this topic: www.anti-virus.myroserver.com.
8. Put in your account username and account password in the required fields. If you have not yet registered, click the "REGISTER" button at the login page which will bring you to our Main Website (www.myro.tk & www.myro.ph) to register.
9. Enjoy!

7. IMPORTANT FOR VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 OS USERS: Right click each and every one of them again then choose "Properties" > Compatibility > Run Program in Compatibility mode for.. > Windows XP SP3.
8. You may now launch the game, click the "MyRO!.exe" icon which was newly created in your desktop from your MyRO installation. Our MyRO Patcher will open and may patch if only patches are available during the time. Then click "START" to launch MyRO. (Always use patcher when playing)

MYRO COMPLETE PACKAGE (FULL INSTALLER) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR VISTA / WIN7 / WIN8 USERS:


1.Download the myro_complete_pack.exe. It can be found at our website www.myro.tk, downloads page, bottom part.
2. This MyRO Complete Pack already has everything you need to play. It is a fully patched Ragnarok Game Client (pRO) with MyRO already built in. No need for other installers or downloads.
3. Be sure your download is not being prematurely cut before completion. It's full download file size must be at 1.7GB. If you keep getting cut, you may use a Download Manager like this one. for uninterrupted downloading. Install to use.
4. Double click the downloaded file and direct your installation to your C:\ or program files or anywhere. If using Vista/Win7/Win8 OS then install it in your C:\ to avoid patching problems in the future.
5. IMPORTANT FOR VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 OS ONLY: Find the Icons Setup.exe, 16888.exe and MyRO.exe inside your installation. Right click each and every one of them and choose "Run As Administrator". You must be using the Administrator account of your computer to do this. If you are just using a Non-Administrator account of your PC then the process might ask for the Admin Pass from you.

If you have an ANTI-VIRUS ...

If you have an Anti-Virus (any anti-virus), it may be blocking the MyRO/Ragnarok program from opening (directx10.bin or 16888.exe). Sometimes you don't see it being blocked. If there is a warning from your anti-virus choose the "Allow"or "Ignore Always" option.

2nd Solution:
Sometimes you anti-virus may have deleted some files and kept it from running. Add the whole MyRO or Ragnarok folder in the ignore list of your anti-virus program by adding the whole Ragnarok or MyRO folder to the "Exceptions" or "Exclusions" list of your Anti-Virus so it would not block the program in the future.

You can click here for more information on how to manage the EXCEPTIONS/EXCLUSIONS List of some common anti-virus. Different programs have different ways of doing this. Mostly its under the "advanced settings". You may search the web for guides for your specific anti-virus.

Now since your anti-virus may have already damaged some files, just reinstall our installer for the missing or damaged files to be replaced. Only do this once you have done the ignore list. You can find the FULL GUIDE here at www.antivirus.myroserver.com.

We guarantee that our installer files does NOT have malware, spyware or virus of any kind just as long as you have downloaded these directly from our website www.myro.tk, downloads page. Avoid downloading from any other links.

Here are fixes to some common problems you may encounter:


A. For players who cannot launch MyRO after clicking START in the patcher. Ragnarok window does not open...cannot even go to the LOG IN SCREEN.

Possible Cause 1:
It means that you have not installed MyRO in the correct folder of your Ragnarok game files. Re-install a newly downloaded installer (the newest available) from our site www.myro.tk, downloads page. Be sure to install this to where your Ragnarok files are. Ragnarok and MyRO files must be altogether in the same folder for everything to work. You may want to first find where your Ragnarok files are installed then direct the installation of our installer to that same path. You may watch the video on how to do it HERE.

Possible Cause 2:
Perhaps what happened was your anti-virus blocked the 16888 file from launching and maybe deleted it automatically depending on your anti-virus settings. Recent patches of most anti-virus programs get these false detections lately. Perhaps because our launcher connects to another IP hosting our Anti-Bot/WPE before connecting to our own IP and maybe this was mistaken for a virus activity thus disabling our launcher. I have already written anti-virus devs about this mistake.

So what you should do is to put the whole ragnarok or MyRO folder in the "ingore list" or "exceptions list" or "exclusions list" of your anti-virus to keep it from blocking launches in the future. Different programs have different ways of doing this. Mostly its under the "advanced settings". You may search the web for guides for your specific anti-virus.

Now since your anti-virus may have already deleted the file, just reinstall our installer for the missing files to be replaced. Only do this once you have done the ignore list. All will be well after this. We guarantee that all our Files and Installers are malware, spyware and virus free just as long as all downloads were directly obtained from our own official links so do not worry.

Possible Cause 3:
Ragnarok needs sound to function by default. If you do not have a sound card then Ragnarok will error upon start up since it needs sound by default. What you can do is turn off the SOUND of Ragnarok/MyRO. Go to where your Ragnarok/MyRO files are then click the Setup.exe file found inside that folder. Click the drop down menu and choose "NO Sound" then click "OK".

Possible Cause 4:
Vista/Win7/Win8 has a new feature called User Account Control which makes launching programs or games somewhat different than before.
I. IMPORTANT FOR VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 OS ONLY: Find the Icons Setup.exe, 16888.exe and MyRO.exe inside your installation. Right click each and every one of them and choose "Run As Administrator". You must be using the Administrator account of your computer to do this. If you are just using a Non-Administrator account of your PC then the process might ask for the Admin Pass from you.
II. IMPORTANT FOR VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 OS ONLY: Right click each and every one of them again then choose "Properties" > Compatibility > Run Program Compatibility mode for.. > Windows XP SP3.
III. Or you can disable UAC entirely. Read the guide on how to access and disable UAC : www.uac.myroserver.com






B. If you get a EXE NOT THE LATEST VERSION error.

There are 2 causes for this type of error. One, is you might be using an OLD INSTALLER which has an exe file that is already old and discontinued. Just try to always download the latest and up-to-date V8 installer or Latest MyRO Complete Package to fix this.

Second, is you have to have a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed on your PC. Get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21




C. For players who keep on getting GRAVITY ERRORS when logging in and game shuts down.

If having errors means your Ragnarok game client is old and unpatched and missing some latest renewal files. Just fully patch your Ragnarok pRO by launching the Ragnarok.exe file inside your Ragnarok Folder. You must have a fully updated ragnarok game client to play MyRO. For KRO users get a recent KRO version though it's best to always use pRO. If you still error, do these below.

...Or for people that can't patch their Ragnarok....

Alternate Method: Download our RENEWAL FIX file from our site www.myro.tk, downloads page. After download is finished, copy then paste this downloaded file to your ragnarok game client folder used for MyRO. This RENEWAL FIX are the patches missing in your unpatched Ragnarok which I just manually give to you to eliminate errors if having trouble in patching your pRO or kRO Ragnarok game clients. Works best on Ragnarok Game Clients of at least with Hugel Patch (EPISODE 14) or better. A fully patched Ragnarok is best.

(Be sure your ragnarok is working properly before installing MyRO. A non-working ragnarok will also result into a non-working MyRO.)



D. When using MYRO COMPLETE PACK and OS Vista/Win7/Win8, game does not launch.

Vista/Win7/Win8 has a new feature called User Account Control which makes launching programs or games somewhat different than before.
I. IMPORTANT FOR VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 OS ONLY: Find the Icons Setup.exe, 16888.exe and MyRO.exe inside your installation. Right click each and every one of them and choose "Run As Administrator". You must be using the Administrator account of your computer to do this. If you are just using a Non-Administrator account of your PC then the process might ask for the Admin Pass from you.
II. IMPORTANT FOR VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 OS ONLY: Right click each and every one of them again then choose "Properties" > Compatibility > Run Program Compatibility to.. > Windows XP SP3.

F. If you do not have a SOUND CARD or SOUND CARD DRIVER and cannot launch game.

Ragnarok needs sound to function by default. If you do not have a sound card then Ragnarok will error upon start up since it needs sound by default. What you can do is turn off the SOUND of Ragnarok/MyRO. Go to where your Ragnarok/MyRO files are then click the Setup.exe file found inside that folder. G. When using Windows Vista/Win7/Win8 and I cannot seem to get patches and always getting a "Failed to Connect to Server" error in patcher.

It is because Microsoft implemented User Account Control (UAC) on vista and win7/8, which prohibits programs to modify files in the "program files" directory without administrator privilege(most likely only applies to create/delete file).

H. For players that are always DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER or FAILED TO CONNECT after Character Select and logging in the map.

It is maybe because you are using hex. Hex is now blocked in MyRO since we upgraded to a blocking program against BOT's and WPE's. Avoid using hex or other launchers (client exe) which did not come from us. You may reinstall your myro-installer.exe to fix this. Install properly. ALWAYS USE OUR PATCHER TO PLAY TO AVOID THESE PROBLEMS.

Or you may be using a wireless type of internet connection (plug it's)...

Disconnections with this type of internet is often due to their networks ability to provide continuous connection. If they are experiencing server "Time Outs" then you will disconnect from time to time. Call your provider and ask for support.

You may also want to read here to learn more about your connection: http://www.traceroute.myroserver.com , you can use a VPN/Proxy to improve your connections specially for Bayantel and Digitel Users. Read more in the link provided.

Or a temporary solution is you may also reset your character's position to birng it back to your savepoint:

NOTE: You may do this below but only as a temporary solution, it is best to do the method above with the Renewal Fix to finally fix everything and eliminate your error.

To change your character's postion:
Go to our website www.myro.tk and log in with your username and password.
Click "My Account" at the Top Right Corner of the page.
Click the character name you would want to reset.
Click on "Reset Position" at the top of the window.

USER ACCOUNT CONTROL (UAC)



This is for Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 OS users who have troubles patching. This is because windows has USER ACCOUNT CONTROL which prohibits changing/modifying of files within the "Program Files" directory thus alteration of your MyRO files through patching is being blocked. To turn this off, please refer to the specific guide below for Vista or Win7/8.




Disable UAC on Windows Vista



Open up Control Panel, and type in “UAC” into the search box. You’ll see a link for “Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off”:

On the next screen you should uncheck the box for “Use User Account Control (UAC)”, and then click on the OK button.

You’ll need to reboot your computer before the changes take effect, but you should be all done with annoying prompts.




Disable UAC on Windows 7/8



Windows 7 makes it much easier to deal with UAC settings, and in fact you don’t have to completely disable UAC if you don’t want to. Just type UAC into the start menu or Control Panel search box.

You can simply drag the slider up or down, depending on how often you want to be alerted.

If you drag it all the way down to the bottom, you’ll have disabled it entirely.
