Hello!, Me saying hello?

Well this is the introduction page so I'm going to introduce myself, even though I am thoroughly daunted by the fact that no one else has posted here. *fear*

I'm Ray, I'm 26 and I've been in love with the other Ray (the male one) since I saw him as Maul and then became doubly delighted when I realized my favorite green villain with a prehensile tongue was one in the same. (I even watched that God awful "Slayers" movie on the Sci Fi channel where he plays twin Russian circus acrobat vampires. I am not being biased when I say he was the best thing in that movie either, and that is not really a compliment. Heh.

I'm ridiculously nerdy (although in my defense my nickname was Ray way before I ever heard of Park). I have four or five action figures of him as well as the oodles of other figures I own (and display in the pretext of real art). I role play (mostly over instant messenger) usually as Toad or as someone with Toad. Meltdown or Rogue or someone often enough. I play video games; usually rpgs. I go through boughts of City of Heroes/Villians and WoW, and then y'know Zelda and Oblivion and etc.

I do a lot of art, much of it fan (much of it Toad), and I've got accounts on ff.net and aff.net with fan fiction. Some of it better than others of it, I'll admit straight away. I've intended to make my own Toad page at some point or other, but my husband works a lot and hasn't had time to help me. And I want flash goodness, which I am not capable of doing my own self.

I've read comics since I was a kid and watched the old 90's X-Men cartoon of course, collecting comic cards and having glorious trading extravaganzas with friends. As far as Toad's incarnations go...I like Movie Mort and Ultimate Toad (though I haven't actually read too many of those, just skimmed for the Toad parts). I'm rather horrified by the new Wolverine and the X-Men incarnation of him. The voice was a very poor choice. And though I'm usually a sucker for classic things, classic hunchbacked jester suit wearing Mort is not my cup of proverbial tea.

Anywho, I hunted down the site through deviantart (where all my fanart is currently hosted) and couldn't resist signing up. I'll look around more and see about what exactly we post here. Fan fictions and such I imagine? Or do we just talk about Mort? (I'm sorry! I got too overzealous to say hello to look all through the site! I have the flu currently! pity me!)

I'm always up for making more Toad friends. He is the under sung and I happen to be very fond of underutilized badass villain or anti-hero types.

I'm sure there's quite a lot more stuff about me to tell (I focused on the Toad stuff, since this is a Toad centric page, you understand) but nothing's coming to mind as imperative at the moment.

Have you seen Balistik Ecks vs. Sever? He was good in that.

Slayers was pretty awful. I had to drink a lot to sit through it, and I remember being on the phone with my friend and ranting about it as I forced her to watch it where she lives. Heh.

Yeah I own Ballistic. He was good in that, even though the movie wasn't very. Still...I'll be really happy if they don't horrendously overkill him one day. My fingers are crossed for GI Joe. They can't kill Snake Eyes. Right?
