Started grinding down the stitch welds around the wheel well

Replacement tanks aren't available so wire brushed the old tank, came up real good

Nay Painted it up with epoxy mastic

Started stripping back the rear arches, it's in a lot better condition than the mk2

nothing majorly happening with the lupolo as the golf was taking up my time sorting out bits for its impending mot.

got the passenger arch painted up as i had some paint left that was already mixed up

(Posted Image)

got some more wire wheels and managed to get in some more nooks n crannies.

(Posted Image)

i need to pull its arse end out a bit more for access as its tucked away in the back of the unit at the minute. but it might be taking a slight backburner (again)

I like what our doing, and I want to do the same to mine. You get much better access once the rear valance is off. But I reckon its worth buying a body tilter and then punting it on once I've done it, to avoid lying on your back to do it.

6 months on and the lupolo is still at the back of the unit!

Got access to a donor shell now so can cut some fresh metal to replace the crispy chassis leg and patch the small hole in the fuel filler neck so once that's done a couple of coats of epoxy mastic and some under seal and it'll be axle time.

Picked up a rear disc setup and compensator valve off a mk2 16v GTI which I'm going to fit to the powder coated gt rear axle and new VW bushes.

Just need to pick up a 22.2 mm master cylinder and reservoir now and wait for the brake bits to turn up but the welding will keep me busy for now!

A spare ko3 turbo conversion may make its way in here either with the mech head engine from the golf or a py lump
