Glad you enjoyed it my Lady. This is a new issue I've put in to show the other side of James. The previous one showed his feeling of defeat and depression. However once he had catalogued all his problems he has been able to recover his equilibrium and faces them as challenges to be overcome not succumb to. And I wanted to bring Gordon in earlier.

Ms. Marvel's repsonse to meeting James is now up.

I remember that issue, and the eatery, quite well! What a clever idea!

Glad you liked it Ladies. Well it was the gentlemanly thing to do, both the dinner and reuniting Carol with her mother and brother (which Marvel still hasn't actually done! shakefist.gif )

Another Horror will be up today.

I think this was the first Ravenwood chapter I read, way back in January of '10 when you entered it in the monthly writing contest. It really is something to think about how far James, Ares and Eliza have come since these first meetings.

I'm glad you've enjoyed it Kai. Yes James, Ares and Eliza have come a long way from this confrontation.

I suppose I need to now ask what you'd all like me to do now. I can put out the rest of the combined Ravenwood Ms. Marvels and then all the Horrors in short order (there are 10 arcs worth!) and get back the writing Satanic Rites. You can all then read them at your leasure. Or I can continue to put them up one at a time.

What is your preference? I'm easy either way. Its fun to re-edit them and add new things (such as Gordon) but I've now pretty well encapsulated how James ended up in New York and met Ms. marvel and why he stayed in the US for so long. His her trials, their relationship (which granted I still haven't resolved) their many ups and downs and tragedies lay ahead of them.

And so James and Eliza are about to meet. I recall that first meeting very well.

If I had to choose, I`d like to see you get back to writing the new stories. But that`s just me, I`ve read all your previous work, and, I`ll admit to being a tad antsy for the new stuff. I enjoy re-reading the older issues as well, so whatever you decide will be just fine with me.

I enjoyed your take on the start to Skyrim Raven. It's definitely one of those games that can be fun just to listen (or read) about how someone else's adventures have gone, even when involving the same quests and events.

Hi my Lady thanks for the honesty. I could just post the whole arc and let people read them at their leasure. I just would like to have some place that had the entire saga of James and Carol.

Thanks DT for the read. Glad you liked it. The problem with writing about an ongoing game is being able to stop and write about what you've just done. I've sort of left it there as I also don't want to be a spoiler for those still playing. Still if there were enough interest I could write some more. Unlike Feral my character is not romantically involved with anyone - and I haven't turned into a vampire either although i just killed a whole nest of them.

That is always an issue. I tried writing a story based on a Dungeons and Dragons game me and some friends played, but it took too much time to constantly write down everything and in more intense moments I just wanted to know what would happen.

I think that you should do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Personally, I would prefer going back to the current arc and adding the older issues to their own threads (Presuming that you're doing each past arc as its own thread) at your leisure.

Then I will bow to your wishes. I had intended to publish each arc as seperate forums. I'll starting working on the next one in the latest series.

Gosh, I recall writing my side of what happened when James and Eliza first met so well. Reading that issue brought it all back in clarity!

I would love to read more of your Skyrim tale as you progress through the game. I`ve gone a different route with Skyrim. I took my character and Farkas and have placed them in an original tale, which gives me freedom from the game I`m still chugging through. I can add elements of the game that I`ve completed but I don`t have to stop playing to write. This works best for me when I`m writing and playing at the same time. I did the same with Dragon Age Origins.

*SIghs* By the Maker I miss Alistair and Sten and Zevran..............

Yes James and Eliza definitely didn't get off to a good beginning did they. And yes I recall Eliza was going through her own problems at that time. Working with Taskmaster, the death of Sharon Carter then the confrontation with Osborn leading to him brutalising her and finally the meeting with the Hood that culminated in the confrontation between her and James. A rocky start indeed.

Yes I agree regarding Skyrim. Once I have written about my hero's journey Whiterun I might just write something new rather than chronicle my adventures.

Chuckle. Ah you really are hoping for a Dragon Age 3 aren't you?

Indeed! That beating from Osborn really was a turning point for Eliza, leaving her forever marred. I`m trying to recall our timelines...this was also right after Ares was torn asunded by Sentry, correct? Or is this before Seige?

Sounds good. Of course, I`m enjoying the tale as it is as well!

Good Ser Raven, you have no idea. All I want is a Dragon Age 3 that returns us to the epic tale of action, bravery and romance that Dragon Age Origins was. We`ll just pretend DA 2 was never made.

Horror is set aroun d the lead up to Siege following the New Avengers timeline which lagged terribly behind everyone else. James misses Siege because of what happens at the Hoods hide out. Ares is still alive at the end but probably meets his fate at the hands of Sentry the next day. Brides of Ravenwood which follows is in the aftermath of Siege.

Well we'll see what I can do.

Oh I think I have some idea.

Ah, okay. For some odd reason I had it in my head that James said something very nasty about Ares to Eliza, and that pushed her into frying him so violently.

I believe you are referring to James encounter with the Hood in Chapter #10:

You? You’re a vampire?” The Hood gasped in surprise.

“Corpus Constricti Majoris” I cast. The Hood suddenly stood ramrod straight as if he had just been grasped by a giant hand and was being squeezed. He gave a strangled cry as muscles popped and bones cracked. Concentrating so as not give Hood the breath to cast another spell I slowly walked towards him. His eyes were bulging and his face was going red as I increased the pressure. “Your currently being crushed by about 5 Gs, apologise, 6 Gs. Tough to cast a spell when you can’t breathe, isn’t?”

The Hood’s tongue was sticking out of his mouth, his face almost purple.

“I do not like you. I do not like Your leader, Osborn, or his Dark Avengers." I informed the Hood coldly, watching him die. He was a leader amongst all that was rotten in Osborn's new wolrd. Better men than he had gonbe to the gallows. "You all remind me of the Nazis. A madman leading sociopaths like Dark Hawkeye, Spiderman or that bitch Soffen over there. Or worse men who should know better like that mindless war monger Ares. You know I actually took that axe-wielding idiot down and touched his mind. He had doubts about Osborn and yet still he followed that lunatic. I can‘t help feeling he'll get what he deserves as shall you all.”

“NO!” Someone burst from a door. I caught a brief glimpse of a white sheathed young woman. As I recognised her I was hit by a wave of force that drove me across the room and smashed me into the brick wall. I felt bones break and my head seemed to explode.

Ah me the failure of every vampire, overconfidence!

Yep, that`s the line I was thinking of. Yes, seems James wasn`t planning on having a distraught mutant appear. What followed was particularly nasty! I`m so glad he forgave her and that Eliza moved past her distrust of the man. His arms around her when she and Ares split really helped her greatly.

And the brides of Ravenwood! What a funtastical arc that was!!

Thank you My Lady. You might be especially interested in the next part of Brides as it focusses on Eliza Whyte after Siege.

Ah what a fun arc this one was! It was so nice to go back and read about that stage of Eliza`s growth. She and Ares have come so far, and through all of thier trials, it seems that James was there. He has been such a stalwart friend to both of them.

Ah, Skyrim, so pretty.... I've not yet tried to pen any tales there, nor in Cyradil, either. Just started playing DA:O, since I got the game over the holidays, complete with the expansion. I might start a tale or two about one of those games, but I'll have to think about what to write first. As for that- Raven, I'd say just post them all up, that way those of us who haven't read them all yet can get caught up. I know I'm not as familiar with James as I'd like to be- there are only so many hours in the day to read, after al, lol!

Glad you liked my Raven's Tale MsMD.

Agreed however I have to re-edit them and correct all the mistakes I made the first time. Another Horror is up now.

Very nice! I did read the last issues of Brides and Satanic Rites, just to refresh myself. Boy, Strange was lucky he didn`t get clobbered! First Carol then Ares.......I wouldn`t want either one of them mad at me!

Yegads! That lastest Satanic Rites was squicky! That creature at the end was just ugly. Very nice suspence leading up to his find at end of the issue. Well done!
