You Wear The Cape!, A Tavern contest for ALL members!

So I know that deep, deep down many of us long, nay, yearn to be superheroes. This Tavernite`s is your chance! This contest will see one lucky winner donning spandex, teaming up with one of their favorite Marvel or DC characters and going out to fight crime! That`s right, the winner will be featured in a one-shot story penned by me with a pencil of themselves in their original costume done by Joker! I know! How cool is this?! The process to enter is easy and requires no lengthy written essays of any kind. All that you need is an imagination gang, it`s really that simple. To enter ‘YOU wear the cape!’ merely follow the few rules written below. All entrants need to submit a short bio of themselves as superheroes. To help Joker and myself to do our parts with as much detail and accuracy as we can you will need to include the following in your bio- Codename - This may be your username or an original codename to reflect your powers. (I will only use your username for your name in the story in lieu of your real name.) Personal stats - Hair color, eye color, height and weight Powers Costume Choice of 1 established MU or DC hero to battle villains with. Or if you prefer to walk the dark side, pick a villain. It`s all good! Post your bio`s in this thread and this thread only. Vote when the entrant portion is completed. As to the voting procedure itself it`s also rather simple. The bio entry portion of the contest will run from August 18th to September 15th. Once I close the bio leg of the contest then every Tavern member will be able to cast a vote for their favorite superhero (or villain) bio. There is one stipulation, if you enter a bio you CANNOT vote for yourself. This rule is to ensure good sportsmanship abounds and to help eliminate the possibility of 30 entrants with 1 vote each, their own. When voting time is announced all votes are to be sent to me via PM. Voting will run for 2 weeks, ending on the 30th of September. I`ll tally the votes and the announcement of the winner will be made on October 1st. Easy as pie right? This contest is open to ALL Tavern members so get your imaginations fired up and take a chance. You never know, it may be YOU who wears the cape!

Okay.I'll bite.Now this is a character I came up with back in '92 and the original costume design was derived off of the Irish heroes from Marvel such as Banshee at that time because of my curiosity for my family heritage.Now I'm using this character for this because I modeled his name,Sean O'Dolan, after myself and his features after my own body type as well as his facial features.Here she goes:

Character:"Fidren"-I affixed the words 'adrenaline' and 'affinity' together and wound up with Fidren to describe the mysterious mutant powers the character has.

Eyes:Green
Hair:Brown

Background:I left the characters background somewhat of a mystery,but from his accent,he's obviously of Irish decent.He's a troubled character in the sense that he is confused and not sure how to deal with the recent spike in his abilities where as before it was in slight spurts.It has brought him some misery in his life and unwanted attention but he decided to step up the anty by donning a costume and taking on others like himself,good or bad, if the oppurtunity presented itself.His recent activities have brought him to the attention of established heroes in the Marvel U who are now seeking him out to find out which side this guy is taking or if he's another Magneto wannabe.His age is not currently known but it's obvious he's fairly young and possibly in his early twenties.

Mutant Abilities:Fidren has a unique power that allows him to take on power class bruisers such as Juggernaut and knock 'em flat on their rear.So it is known he is powerful in the use of his abilities.It is not known to the rest of the world exactly what his power is,but to Fidren he has been taking on enough characters to figure out just how much he can do.He has limited flight abilites in powerful short bursts as to do so for him is very draining and requires a lot of concentration and use of his powers.When he hits it has been documented that a burst of energy is released when making contact with his opponent causing severe damage.His power is thought to be on a molecular level of somesort and when making contact this powerful molecular bond of energy is released upon the opponent.Only Fidren has the answers to such curiosities.

Costume design:Fidren modeled his costume after other mutant heroes of the early ninties era.A black shirt modeled after Banshee with a yellow motorcycle boot type strap around his neck, fashioned with rib stripes colored green and yellow from front to back.Green gloves with yellow rings towards the top of the arm portion and green fitted boots with the same yellow ring design as the gloves.Black spandex pants and a belt he fashioned out of leather with a unique buckle he made from two letter 'F's'.One right side up on his right and the other upside down on his left so that it made a perfect square when put together.

Well,I was thinking of a character related to the whole Cassidy family tie-in somehow or between Black Tom,which is still doable even though he's apparantly been swallowed into some sort of black hole dimension.Considering that doesn't neccesarily mean a Marvel U character is dead,Black Tom could still work.Sean Cassidy,Banshee, has apparantly been self sacrificed and his daughter Theresa Rourke,Siryn, is apparantly an alcoholic mess who,after on a binge, last found herself to be pregnant by Jamie Madrox, a.k.a. Multiple Man.Cain Marko,the original Juggernaut, is now stripped of his powers and has last joined the New Excaliber.I wanted my character to somehow tie in with that bunch,but considering how much has changed over the last decade between all of these characters,I'm rethinking the direction of Fidren,but Black Tom is still do-able out of all of these.

Hehe. Found this guy in an old box. While back I had an idea about a highschool that trained the superheroes of tommorow. Yeah, then Sky High was made anyways heres

Name: Elliot Bedlambe III
Codename: The Sonic Youth (he personally wanted to be called Octave but the media is so clever and loves the superhero community so very huggy much)
Height: 5ft 11in
Weight 199lbs
Age: 17
Hair: Black (short, dishevelled)
Eyes: Green

Powers: None
Abilities: Highly intelligent and gifted in the fields of pyshics, engineering and music. Olympian class athelete and an experience boxer. Proficient in the art of fencing. Can speak English, Gaelic and Sign-Language.
Equipment and Paraphernilia: Specialized suit which amplifies/decreases and manipulates soundwaves of Elliot's own design. With the correct application of said soundwaves Elliot is able to deafen opponents, create crude forcefields, destroy solid objects and can fly/hover for short periods of time. With a special helmet, Elliot is able to record and distort sounds.
Costume: None. The suit is really in its earliest stages and thus is really only a brace protecting Elliots torso, head, arms and his shins. Underneath, Elliot usually wears turtle-necks and jeans.

Background: Elliot was always gifted but its a shame not many people realised this. Had he looked the way proper nerds were meant to Elliot would have no doubt been treated as such. But born to a wealthy family with good looks Elliot was able to stay relativly untouched by his peers. He played the usually games and took up atheltics to keep his parents happy but science was where his heart truly loved.
Inspired by his idol, Tony Stark, Elliot decided to create a suit of his own which utilized Elliots second greatest love, Music. After weeks of preperation and construction, Elliot picked up the nerve to actually show off his creation to Stark himself. Along the way however a crane accident happened and well..despite Elliots best intentions to just keep the crowd under control he ended up saving the entire street. Finaly discovering an outlet to use his scientific knowledge Elliot took up Superheroism.

I wouldn't normally be playing this since it's a contest and I'm supposed to be a whatchacallem (spellchecker actually thinks I mean whatchamacallit but I don't) ... oh yeah ... mad er mod I mean mod. BUUUUUT ... I wanna have fun too

So ... I'm thinking Feral Female and the next couple of reasonable thoughts to follow FF aaaaare? Wolverine and Deadpool. At least for ME ... Don't feel bad if when YOU think of Feral u think of a talented writer. It's kinda ok. I don't think she'd mind that because she's a nice person too! (Yup I've been having lots of caffeine today ... ).

What was I saying? Oh yeah ... so, I thought of this and I decided that if I were to ask of Feral to include me in a story of hers fighting alongside an established character it might as well be someone she'd enjoy writing, someone like this guy --->

And since Wolvie isn't a favorite of mine ( ) I decided that my character would actually be better than Logan at something ... HA! My character is a Morlock with a healing/regenerating factor that makes Wolverine look like a hundred-plus years old costive with Alzheimer's ... which he may well be but that's not the point. My characters regeneration abilities are so great that he can recreate/replicate any tissue even before it is destroyed! DOUBLE HA (=HAHA)!! Which means my Morlock can grow more bones if he needs to, more skin if he needs to, more muscles if he needs to, AAAAANNNNDDD he can place the extra tissue anywhere. TRIPLE HA (=HAHAHA)!!! Which means he can put an extra eye on the back of his head is he wants to or grow whole extra limbs and whatever freakish thing FF can think of. I can't think of any really fitting name for my brilliantly conceived Morlock but I was thinking of something very very cool like "Irregular Joe"

I can't find my Doc Omega bio, so here's a character I'bve been writing a story about.

Real Name: Devon Ross

Alias: Draugur

Stats: 6' 10" 500 lbs Grey tinged skin, horribly scarred. Buzz cut brown hair and goatee. White eyes

Powers: Dimensional Phase. He can phase out synch with any dimension. He can use this for various tasks like hyper speed / teleportation, invisibility, intangibility.....etc He has access to a dimensional pocket known as the Necrocasm. He uses this as a home world and can also use it to communicate with the dead. He is undead/immortal. He can be defeated but not killed. He does not tire. He retains a deformed human appearance but in reality is a being of pure energy. Radiation absorption/manipulation/projection. Class 95 ton strength. Hyper leaping. He can leap up to 2 miles per leap.

Weapons: none

Skills: genius level intellect.

Origin: Devon's earth had been ravaged by decades of nuclear and chemical warfare. Devon had still made the best of it falling in love, marrying, and having a family. In this world the dead roamed the earth and diseased & mutated monsters terrorized it. Humans were forced to live inside of walled cities and pay for that safety. Devon worked for Oasis city's main controller.... Frederick Denton. Denton was into some terrible things and was convinced that the US Presidents secret police had a mole in his organization...he assumed incorrectly that it was Devon. Frederick sent Devon and his family to a newly found abandoned city to the north destined to be Oasis 2. Devon was to prepare it for settlers. The only thing that sent to Oasis 2 was a missile containing an experimental virus and a nuclear payload. No one survived the blast...but Devon rose from it. He found himself amid the bodies of his wife and children...he roared in grief and anger.... his own voice frightened him, he didn't sound human. Devon forever changed took the name Draugur and went on a murderous campaign of vengeance.

Cool stuff. So...when does the video game come out????

I didn`t see any costume descriptions though so if you two guys could give us that so Joker can sketch you in your costumes that would be great! Unless you want them done in street clothes, which is fine.
