The last indi comics I got were 3 issues of the "I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space" series, from Arcana Comics.

awesome title for a comic, aarcee.
i've been buying loads indies from topshelf, avatar, idw, pantheon, marina, ballantine, etc in recent years, including the surrogates, blankets (highly recommended), goodbye chunky rice, crecy, channel zero, local, demo, fun home (sensitive biography of a lesbian - highly recommended), gemma bovery, persepolis, american splendour, smoke, etc. one of my all time favorites is the rabbis cat. and jimmy corrigan the smartest kid on earth. i absolutely love indie comics. |

I ordered Roswell Texas from Big Head Press. it was an online comic that took two years to review. with a name like that, it has to be good.

i saw a sample page where Pinochio lures a vampire to attack him, the vamp says "you're not real!" and pinochio says "i'm a real boy...[rips his elongated nose off]...and you're my prey!" |

I just saw a vid with the author of this talking about the story. It's now on my list.
http://www.goats.com/forums/news/6397/ The author compared it to Futurama and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Sounds pretty cool. |

Today, I plan on buying the next issue of Sonic The Hedgehog. Along with probably a few old comics as well.

yep. he's a demigod. So far, he's batting a perfect score in my opinion. Broken City, those 2, they both are gorgeously drawn.
