HAAAAAA!! I KNEW that Loomis´book would be among those!!!
I would add "How to draw superheroes the Marvel way" to that list, cuz it gives an idea of how to draw comic in a much more dynamic way |

Well im afraid it wont teach you "How" to write, im not sure that can be taught particularly. It does however dissect the various forms of comic books and offers a detailed anlaysis of the various formats of a comic book script aswell as offering concise sections of character development and handling dialogue. It's indispensable for someone wanting to get into the medium and Denny doesnt shirk on the details. There are a lot of clear visual aids to back up the passages and the advice is sound and importantly not patronising. I would reccomend picking up a book on writing for the stage or screen to supplement this material as i find the o neil book serves wonderfully as an introduction to the medium but it certainly isnt a catch all book for dramatic writing |
