Fear And Loathing In Boston

I glanced out the window. What had once been a tangerine horizon was engulfed in shadow. The Bunker Hill Monument's stark frame was outlined against a dark purple sky - the only indication of what time it was. In this building, darkness consumed nearly everything; from the unfinished drywall to the sawdust-coated floors. And before long, it would become a battlefield.

I sighed. I had to stop thinking like that. So negative, so dismal. This cramped and choking apartment space was the only thing separating me from my pursuers, and I ought to think of it as a haven for as long as possible. But beneath me, I felt the beams shake. A bright light streamed through the window and painted the ceiling a cadaverous shade of white. They were here.
