welcome to the mickey's tavern vida awards. the award is named after the revered and drool-worthy vida guerra. if you win an award, you get to tell your buddies, your peers and your parents, even your in-laws that you are bringing vida home (for a month). yea, bragging rights, dudes and dudettes. that would make your friends so jealous that they'd probably kill themselves. anyways, here are the categories:

4. deadpool prize: mouthiest-rapid-fire poster
5. reed richards prize: most knowledgeable poster (not limited to only marvel otherwise mm will win it everytime)
6. irredeemable antman prize: poster who's most lewd and horny all the time
7. lockheed prize: most feisty poster
8. iron man prize: the poster who argues his/her points well and unstinting in his/her stance
9. ghost rider prize: creepiest poster (ft this is not aimed at you, so don't start an offended thread :twisted:)
10. thor prize: noble-god-among-man poster

the winners will get to 'wear' an award 'badge' on their siggie for the duration of your win. (the earlier designs were bigger and more elaborate but due to the recent guidelines of banner sizes, we have decided to keep it simple, see sample below). no other prize for winners except recognition.

these are the major awards. we are thinking of adding some ridiculous and funny ones later (suggestions are welcome) if posters take to this award shit.

note: the winners will be voted in by members on the board, the same winner cannot be voted in more than 2 successive times. the cut off date is 31st jan 2008 (forum-time), and the winner will be announced early next month.

we hope to do this monthly if it's popular with the posters on here. hey, who know's there could be a reon kadena award next. :drool2: :drool2: :drool2:

sorry to hear that bdog, but there are many on here who also didn't get a vote. we made the polls quite transparent, it's the posters' choice. btw, you can always vote yourself in. if you decide to do so, you can put your name only in one category, the rest have to be other posters' names.

that's allowed and i posted that rule earlier (2nd post of the thread):

i had earlier wanted to leave the mods and mick out, and not allow posters to vote for us, this was to prevent unfair advantage (and sucking up votes). unfortunately, at this stage, the tavern doesn't have many regular posters yet, none of us are really canvassing for votes here, and it's all in the name of fun, so that decision was shelved.

atm the most vocal posters tend to get in. but as i said before, this is only the first version of the vida polls, we hope to have different versions in coming months. this way, not the same posters get voted everytime, and everyone stands a chance. but you still need to get noticed for posters to nominate and vote you in.

suggestions from mk for wwe vida award month:

we are working on the next vida awards. the categories will likely be changed and the entire processed improved to make voting easier. like we said, we want everybody to have a fair chance at getting votes so do participate when it comes out.

this time around, we are likely to include dc characters, this is to cater to those who read loads of dc and feel that dc heroes deserved to be named after an award.
