When you click on Members at the top of the screen, you see a list of all the members on our message board. When you click on a name a screen comes up with information about that person. This is your profile. You can put information in your profile about your family tree, then when someone clicks on your name, they will see what surnames and areas you are researching.

Here's how to do it:

1. Click on My Controls.
2. Under Personal Profile in the left hand column, click on Edit Profile Info.
3. You'll see a series of fields to fill in. Fill in those you feel comfortable sharing. Make sure to put something in the "Your Interests" field so that people will know a little about you and your genealogy. Tell us your birthday if you like and be sure to put in the link to your website/homepage so folks can visit it.
4. Click on Amend My Profile.
And, you're done!
