Ultimate X-Men #1

We open in New York 1963........

"Magnus why are you doing this?" Charles Xavier said

"Because Charles we are much more powerful then these mortals. We should rule them. I am the Master of Magnetism and I shall show the world my true power" Magneto said as he lifted the statue of liberty.

"I must stop you Magnus. I am sorry" Xavier said as he used his telepathic powers to shut down Magneto's mind making him drop the statue before falling to the ground. "I am sorry my old friend"

Magnus passed out as we fade to black.......

Present.........

1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center, Westchester County, New York. We go inside to see a bald man standing as he watches a young man inside a gym like room.

"Northstar run faster." He said

We see the young man wearing blue and yellow with an X on his belt as he runs. His name: Jean-Paul Beaubier. Age: 17. His powers include Superhuman Speed, Flight, and Photokinesis. He is the first student at Xavier's school. The first in a line called the X-Men

"You can stop now" Xavier said

As he stopped a young girl looking 13 clapped.

"YAY" Jeanne-Marie said

"Can we stop now Professor?" Northstar said

"Yes Jean Paul. Very good work out" Xavier said

Northstar grabbed a towel as the young girl ran and hugged her brother.

"My sister you like watching me run a lot" He said

"Yes brother. Can I have a friend over tonight to?" She asked.

"You will have to ask the Professor" he said

She smiled and gave Xavier her puppy dog eyes.

"Yes she can have a guest. Northstar we must talk in private after you change and shower" Xavier said

"Sure Professor" He said.

We move to a local college. We see a baseball field as all star pitcher Robert "Bobby" Drake shows off his stuff in front of scouts. He throws a fastball past another batter.

"STRIKE THREE!" The umpire said.

That was his 12th strike out in the game as he ran to the bench he saw a girl in the stands watching him intently. She smiled as he looked over. He blushed as he go a chill up his spine.

"You ok Drake?" the coach said

"Yeah coach. I'm just cold all the sudden" He said.

"Get some water" he said.

Bobby poored himself water only for it to turn to ice. He looked in the cup and had a shocked look.

"Um coach" Bobby said.

The coach looked at Bobby who looked cold as anything and sent him to the showers.

Inside the showers we see Bobby under the water. As the water turned to ice as it hit him.

"What the heck is going on?" Bobby said

As Bobby got out and got dressed he ran for home as fast as he could as he saw his hands turn to ice. Being 90 degrees out this seemed odd.

Elsewhere at another school........

We see as school play as the star Alison Blaire sings a song from Wizard of oz to the music being played.

Suddenly the lights get brighter as she sings louder. The crowd can't see her anymore as the lights start blinding everyone.

"Stop singing Alison. There's something wrong with our lights" the people backstage said.

Alison stops as the lights go back to normal. She begins to cry as she runs off stage past the director.

"Ali where are you going?" he said

She runs into the school hall ways and outside.

Elsewhere......

Football practice for a new season under coach Hank McCoy at the same high school as Alison just ran out of. a new exchange student from Russia Piotr Rasputin.

"Come on Peter you know you can do better then that" Hank said

Soon the young man rammed into the line and turned into metal while doing it. He ran threw the goal post breaking it. He kept running seeing the metal on his skin. He just ran right past Alison who was running the other way.

Back at Xaviers.....

"Jean Paul it is time for me to recruit new members. I have learned that my old enemy Magneto has returned. He is forming an army to take over the world. We need to expand the X-Men. I know of others who I will soon recruit to join us. They are going to learn of their abilities in the coming days. We must recruit them before Magneto does." Xavier said

"I'm all for it Professor. Where you want me to go?" Northstar said.

"Hold on my student. I am getting a message from my my mind. One of those I seek has learned of his abilities and is scared. I must go. Northstar there is a young girl as well. You must go and find her. I can tell Magneto knows about her." Xavier said

"Yes Professor" Northstar said

As the two are about to leave the school they open the door to see the guest of Northstar's sister.

"Hi. I'm Kitty Pryde. I came to sleep over" She said with a big smile.
