Ant-talk sounds something like this: "The Brachionus caliciflorus population has grown defensive appendages in response to the predatory pressure of Asplanchna priodonta in the littoral zone" :golddigging:

Since I'm new to Bone and don't know stuff like Layla does can someone tell me how many "volumes" there are?

err who's layla? layla miller?
i think there are 9 volumes altogether. although there are a couple of stand alone volumes that add to the series, but not mandatory to the overall saga. here for the full list:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Complete-Bone/lm...JAQ2DFMBK0ZM16Qthese are beautifully colored.
i, however, got this one (below), which is in black and white. all the nine volumes in one thick collection (1300 pages), it's cheaper than buying the individual volumes put together.

I have the first volume only ("escape from boneville" in Greek) and I'm getting the second soon (something with a cow-running marathon thing :golddigging: )

yea, that's kinda funny. what's good about it is the pacing of the story and fresh ideas. and all the characters are likeable. even the villains.

It is a nice change from all the superheroic stuff. And it's fun to read so far. I'm glad it got translated in Greek because otherwise I don't think I'd pick it up.
kacangpool - December 10, 2007 11:24 AM (GMT)
yea, it's quite a surprise for me too. i read about it when i browsed through amazon.com but was too lazy to chase down all the volumes. decided to risk it when it was collected in that huge compendium. so glad i did.
it's a genius piece of work, and it's down to the creator and writer - jeff smith, anybody else might not have been able to pull it off.
