*Reappears from the Void*, *With Presents*

So, as many of you have probably noticed, my life has been busy lately. Very busy. Whenever I'm not sleeping, at work (40-hour workweeks more often than not), going on random family outings, and trying to keep my social life from falling apart at the seams, I'm staring at the ever-growing pile of games that I've committed myself to playing, but never having the time to. Far too often, it leads to this:

Anyway, all that EVERYTHING has led to a lot of other things being pushed out of my life, and unfortunately MHQ was one of those things. BUT NO LONGER! I've pushed what SHOULD have been a priority of mine away, and I've realized that I can't do it any longer. I've missed this site so much over the last two months that I've actually had dreams about everyone showing up for an intervention (somehow I was on both sides of said intervention...don't ask. My dreams get weird). If you guys will have me back, I'd love to come. Whaddaya say?

Oh, and to make your decision easier, I brought a gift to all of you (act surprised, like I didn't tell you in the topic title). So I don't know if fly_boy told you...what am I saying, of course he told you. I could stitch his hands to his face and he'd still find a way to get on this site...but I digress...
As I'm sure fly_boy has told you, we went to PAX. And at PAX, one of the musical acts was none other than everybody's favorite fan-metal band: Metroid Metal. Now here's the good part. Ready? I came with my camera. My VIDEO camera. If all y'all are interested, you can download all 1.7 gigs of the main set here and the 183 MB encore here (special thanks to Stemage himself for giving me the go-ahead to upload the video)!

The camera was stupid and didn't start the first time I pushed record, so the video starts several seconds into Brinstar, and then it went all crazy on me (luckily) at the very end of the last song in the main set, so the final few seconds of it are missing as well, but other than that it's an awesome ~40 minute trek of awesome. I tried to make the camera somewhat dynamic so you're not just staring at the band the whole time, but at times that proved difficult with people moving around, as well as the fact that my arms, which were already tired from hauling magnificent amounts of swag around a convention center, began cramping. You can actually hear me tell my brother, "Andrew, I'm going to use your shoulder now." at one point.

So yeah, I'm back, and I'm totally ready for the fun times to begin again. Here's to you guys!

OH! I meant to mention that if you're planning on watching the Metroid Metal videos, it's 1000x nicer if you download it before watching it. For some reason if you try to stream it, the video gets all laggy and glitchy. Or at least, it does for me...
