I'm a big Metroid fan, probably my favorite franchise. All this time, I havn't played Super Metroid, so last week I bought it, wow it's great! This game rocks! I'm a few doors from Ridley at the moment.

Well, glad ya like it! I love this game too... and I wished they would've made a remake (or re-port) on the GBA of it...

I would not want Super Metroid remade anyway. It's a classic on it's own and does not need to be mishandled.

Graphics are great in Super Metroid, I can't think of a decent way to have that same mood repeated in new graphics. Zero Mission was a different mood.

I think a remake would somehow ruin the overall feeling that only the SNES version of Super Metroid could ever properly produce. I still think of Metroid 1 and Metroid Zero Mission as two completely seperate games. It could be ported to the DS, making using the bottom screen as some sort of general map/menu option, but with the screen size being 256 x 192 and Super Metroid being 256 x 224, some re-arranging of the game would be necessary.
