Veterans and beginners. Welcome! Before you go any further, you are to know that here we allow everyone to join, beginner or veteran of the role-playing world. We are not an elitist. So if you're not okay with that, then this isn't the place for you.

Relationship between X-Men and Marvel. These forums share a relationship with the RP forums X-Men: A New Dawn. The same timezone, same universe, and so fourth. Characters are allowed to visit the X-Men when needed, and the same for X-Men here. So if your character is accepted here, it is accepted at X-Men: A New Dawn as well. All characters of X-Men: A New Dawn DO NOT have to make another bio here. Just use the same username that you do on X-Men: A New Dawn, and have the same avatar and signature as well. Also a link to your XAND bio.

Characters. You are allowed four characters only, but must remain equally active with each, or else you will be forced to let one or two go...

Accounts. Please let it be known that every character you own must have their OWN account. So no dual character accounts please.

Canons and Originals. We allow both canons and originals at Marvel: A New Dawn. So please feel free to join as either.

Canons, as well as Originals, will have the priviledge of joining any faction they choose to, as long as it's in character, for example, Captain America would not join the Masters of Evil, at least not right away. It would be something that would have to be explained in character of why they are making such a change.

Spam. No spamming/trolling/flaming of any other members.

Swearing. This board has a tolerant view of swearing so long as it's not used excessively either in or out of character. If your post has heavy swearing we ask that you please include an ooc warning at the beginning of it.

Sexual Content. Please fast-forward past any raunchy scenes. This board is not R-rated; we have young members. Please be subtle and caring for them (we don't want 'em getting offended or in trouble because of their parents). If your thread is going in that direction, please include an ooc warning before it goes too far.

Thread invasion. If two characters are having a conversation or something, it's not right that another can just barge in. If there's an 'in' (I.e, a good place for your character to make an entrance), fair enough but if you get too many people jumping in it can get confusing.

Godmods. Obviously the no-godmodding rule, and regular RP rules, apply here. Each person has a right to their own character. Do not RP for others without their prior permission. Do not inflict direct harm upon another person in a fight. By all means post that a punch is thrown, but it's up to the other character's player to decide if it hits.

Canon. If a person takes a Canon, they should put Canon either in their character creation thread title or in the thread itself, for the benefit of us updating the list And for other members who play Canons to know who their character may know from the comics/movies/cartoons. Also, a sample rp of you playing that certain canon is needed so the staff could see that you will be true to that canon character.

Admins. Admins and staff have authority. Please adhere to their rules, and do not flame them for making a decision you don't like. By all means politely post or PM your comments, but don't be immature. Or else we will take more action.

Respect. Be nice. Period. Any arguements should not make their way onto the forum. If so, then that counts as an automatic ban from the forums. Thanks.

Posts. Post a long enough post that you give the other players something to work with. Even if your character doesn't say anything, talk about how he/she feels, thinks, etc. Try not to do one-liners if you can help it. We would rather at least 5 sentences, but do your best.

Absence. Please give notice if you're going to be away for 3+ days. Of course, unexpected circumstances can arise, and we'll forgive you, but if you know you're gonna be away, please give some notice so your fellow RPers are aware.

Read. Please be sure you read all posts in the thread your character is in before posting. You might miss something important if you don't.

Credit. Never, EVER plagiarize. If you take something from somewhere else, credit the source.

Running. Please don't run off with a topic. If there are 3 or more people in a topic, please wait for people to post. Not more than three posts between two of the individuals in the thread, in order to allow the others to catch and keep up (long conversations that leave out the third person are never fun). If you need clarification, please PM an admin or a mod.

Multiple Threads. Yes, we do allow your character(s) to be in more than one thread if you choose to, BUT each thread must take place at a different time. So watch out for that, due to staff will be monitoring this.

Registration. Only staff members are allowed to post in another person's character profile thread. If you feel that you have an idea or concern that might help out the registration process, feel free to PM someone. If a character's bio is posted and has not yet been accepted, please refrain from mentioning him/her in the C-Box.

And finally the most important rule of all:
HAVE FUN.
