Captain America stood with his back to the large room. For the first time in a while, he felt... confident. His mind had found peace, a peace that he had forgotten existed over the past few months. He had been preparing all that time since he took that leap of faith off the Helicarrier, but at the same time... the voices he heard... He knew they were the work of Agent Fulfiller, but even still, the words had come from some deep part of his mind, his soul. He had doubted himself since Stamford... but now it was time for action.

He stood in full uniform, cowl pulled back, his shield strapped to his arm, sidearm in its holster at his side. It had been a while since he had actually had a gun at his side, ready to go to war. His shield had been enough before... but now, even though he didn't want to shoot to kill, he needed it. War was on his doorstep, about to kick the door in. But this was HIS country, and he wasn't about to let someone destroy it in any way, shape, or form. Even if it was the country itself that was threatening suicide by the SHRA, he would protect his America.

And the individuals seated behind him would be there to help. Because they believed in something greater; they believed in something expressed in the Decleration of Independence itself: that it was the duty of the people to correct a wrong-doing in their country, even if that meant doing something considered wrong to do what was truly just."You know why I called you here," he said before turning."But... I want to hear you tell me and everyone in this room who you are and exactly WHY you are here, exactly WHAT made you answer my call to arms... And I want to hear HOW you intend on helping me achieve what needs to be done."

((OOC: Basic intro time. Need this be said?))

“Cap you know who I am you know the things that have happened to me , when people found my identity, that can’t happen to anyone else…yes I am a lawyer but for this scenario I can’t use Murdock’s ability’s to get passed this, I have spent weeks looking for anything that would help us get clear of this.”

He stood up from his seat listening to the various heart beats in the room; each had its own sound its own rhythm finally landing on cap

“look I can legally deny it all I want but the world knows im Daredevil and sooner or later it’s going to catch up with me it’s the worst thing that can happy to any of us … are you sure you know what you are doing Steve??

He focused on the sentinel of liberty’s heartbeat, it sound like a souse march he stared at the captain listening to any hesitation or change in heart rate.

MVP stood up after Daredevil "Much like Daredevil my identity was outed, though I was yet to be a hero. But because of this outing I was kicked out of my school and my athletics, both of which I was hoping would help me release my dreams. All this happened because I'm related to someone from the past but despite being related to Erskine, I have no super soldier serum in my blood unfortunately it didn't seem to matter what the truth was" explained MVP.

He took another deep breath and continued "Thus I was branded and outed making life difficult for me, someone came and made me see sense and make something of myself. And although I haven't been a hero long I still stand by the fact that this act could ruin the lives of many men and women like me and liekly in even worse ways then what happened to me" added MVP who looked around the room at the others.

Making speeches and pep talks were something he's done before as he lead his track team when he was still a member of it, but he almost felt nervous with this many heroes around. "I'm MVP, and I think the government has better things to do then chase heroes around" ended MVP as he sat back down.

The world was going to heck in a handbag at an alarming rate. It was as if the Civil Rights struggles of the 60s and 70s were for nothing. The reality of it all was comming down all around Luke as he sat there in the room, contemplating on how the group as a whole should handle the situation.

"Well, I don't have a mask or a secret identity, but they still want me to register. That ain't gon' happen. And as long as I'm still breathin', I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make sure this Registration Act gets stomped." With that said, he stood and went to join Captain America where he stood. Facing the rest of the room, he continued.

"Lets be real, everybody. The odds are against us; it ain't no doubt about it. What we're trying to do is stop this registration b.s., and while it might be the moral thing to do, the messed up truth is that any move we make that goes against the grain is gon' be illegal."

With a sigh, he recalled his younger days as a gang member. He had done some things back then, some without an ounce of conscious and some reluctantly, but all things he wasn't proud of. In a way, he would have to chanel a bit of his old self just to get him through the comming days. There would be no turning back if he did that...

"I guess what I'm sayin' is this-- If you're in with me and the Captain, you've gotta be in all the way. If you ain't sure, then leave now. Don't talk; just leave." By that time, he had removed his dark sunglasses and let everyone see the seriousness in his eyes.

For someone who had the ability to disappear at will, why was she still here? Her family and team was now separated, with Ben even going as far as leaving the country to escape this madness of SHRA. Johnny, her younger brother was God knows where, and Reed, her fiance and the leader of the Fantastic Four was fighting for everything she stood against. It would be so easy to use her invisibility to get away from all of this, but that wouldn't help them to get rid of the damned act and it certainly wouldn't bring her family back together.

Susan was silent as she sat in the room, dressed in civilian clothing with her blonde locks pulled back into a ponytail. Her gaze was on her clasped hands that rested neatly on the table before her and although it didn't seem like it she was still very attentive to all that was being said. "I've considered leaving, it would certainly be easier," she admitted and finally allowed her eyes to land on the faces of all present. "Susan Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman. My powers aren't a secret because from the moment they were acquired they have been used to keep New York safe. The accident that bestowed me with my abilities was fate. Fate chose me to have these abilities in order to help those who needed it and even those who didn't. This act goes against free will and everything I stand for. And now they make us out to be vigilantes because we choose to fight for freedom? It's not right."

There was a pause for a moment but soon she continued. "As easy as leaving would be, the easy route isn't necessarily the best route. It also doesn't make it right. SHRA drove my team apart. Just what am I willing to do? At this point...whatever it takes."

Storm would sit and listen to the anti-registration forces speak their peace. If anyone, she had understood the reason why registration was the wrong way to go. She had experienced that before any of the people in this room right now.

If anything, Storm has been quite busy, with the Mutant Registration Act coming into play, she was one of the many X-Men that went against it and went their own ways to form a new team of X-Men that worked underground helping captive mutants that refused to register. With that, she had the likes of the Cortex Corporation to fight against with, who no doubt shown they could hold their own in a fight, but the X-Men always came out on top, at least for right now.

It was not long ago, before the events of Stamford, that Storm went searching for Captain America, asking for help, but he turned her down, not wanting to be apart of it. Apart of her understood, but the other part, which was most of her, thought it was the coward's way just because it isn't your battle. Now, however, things were different. The act was not only after mutants, but all super humans, super heroes, everyone. That included Captain America. So after that, the two eventually met up again and called a truths. Rogers had assisted Ororo with getting many mutants out of the country and in return, she had joined his Secret Avengers team that focused mainly on getting rid of the Super Human Registration Act.

"Being a mutant myself, I have faced these kind of events more and more everyday. Even before the Superhuman Registration Act, I was a victim of the Mutant Registration Act. Both acts are unacceptable and is not the way to go."

"I am Ororo Munroe. Mutant, former thief, Goddess, X-Man. I am Storm, and I am on board with making sure that both acts are ended. Cage is correct, the odds are against us, but we as heroes, have proven from time to time that if we work together as a team, nothing is impossible."

She had spoken. She knew that she also represented the mutant community with being on the team, she was actually surprised of the amount of mutants that did not go against the registration act, but registered without a second thought.

John was perhaps the odd man out. He wasn't affected by any of these acts. He wasn't a mutant. A majority of the time he wasn't even in this country. He existed with a different set of laws and codes, adhering to mandates older than this country had even been established. But that didn't mean he didn't understand what was going on. He'd seen corrupt governments and flawed systems before. In another life, he'd been twisted to believe those laws before. "I'm simply called the Prince of Orphans. I see a lot of orphans here today. People orphaned by their country, orphaned by their family, orphaned by their friends. I know what it feels like to be hunted down for doing the noble thing. And I know what it's like having your back pushed against the wall until you've run out of options. I know all of this because I've been on the other side. It won't be pleasant, but from what you've said, it seems you're all ready for that."

He pulled his robes closer to him, keeping the hood hidden over his face. In a lot of ways, Steve very much reminded him of Orson Randall. Randall of course had opted to hide away in opium dens after the Prince had finally caught up to him. Rogers was going to stand and fight. Just like a warrior would. Just like an Iron Fist would.

Steve Rogers listened to the room and honestly... he liked what he heard. Luke Cage even came up and stood by his side, basically earning himself a leadership position in Cap's eyes, though it could be discussed later. Giving the large man a thankful pat on the back, Cap looked out to the rest of the room."I am grateful for your presence and your loyalty. Our path is going to be a hard one, but I have no doubt that we have more than a fighting chance. I believe that together, we can make some difference, that maybe the public can see that these acts aren't as just as others would make it out. If no one else will stand up for what is right and beat back what is right... then they are the ones who lose."

Taking a seat at the head of the table, Steve nodded his head silently for a moment before he continued speaking."You know, before committing high treason, George Washington was a respected citizen under the British crown. All of the founding fathers were. And it nearly broke them that they had to defy their entire world in order to do the just thing, the thing they had to do... and that was to make this country. They decided that if you had to do something illegal just to do what was right, then it was more than worth it."

"We and few others stand between what could become martial law in this country that is supposed to be a beacon of freedom in the world. Before, we could take out the threats in the middle of the streets. Now, we are fugitives. Now, we are the bad guys in the public eye. Now, we are at war with the Superhuman Registration Act. We can't afford to march on Washington, we can't make picket signs and parade through the streets."

Pushing his shield to the middle of the table, he pulled on his cowl and stood."We are rebels. We are going to fight the only and only good fight, but this time not in front of everyone. We, ladies and gentlemen, are still Avengers, make no mistake. Only this time, we are a secret. We will act silently, we won't let our work be seen until the masterpiece is complete."

Turning around, he punched a button on the monitor behind him and an image of Nitro, the now infamous "Murderer of Stamford", a man that hadn't been seen since that fateful day, appeared onscreen."And this man, my Secret Avengers, is our first target."

"And I found him."
