So, if you have something in your mind that the whole forum needs to know, or so, post them here. As for simple things like changing of username, just PM an admin for it.

Lorelei - November 5, 2007 02:12 PM (GMT)
Question, there's a souer ceremony for people who want to make each other souers here..

I wonder, will we have rosaries?
Also, how will we keep track of each other?

Stephanie - November 5, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
@Lorelei
What rosaries do you refer to exactly? Like a picture in your signature, saying who your onee-sama is? That could be arranged..
I'm not really sure where you want the rosaries..

As for how you will keep track of each other is up to you both.
You can talk in chat, give each other your numbers or just communicate here in this board, I'm not suppose to dictate how your relationship should work..

Anyway, I've been thinking a while..
I'm going to change this forum to:
http://z3.invisionfree.com/MariMite_Forums

Hmm, thinking about it, I don't want the "Otaku" word afterall..

LastRaven - November 10, 2007 03:55 AM (GMT)
Uh might I suggest the Sophs have a green name. I would be unfair if only the Juniors have a colored name; The sophs need some ID too ya know.

Stephanie - November 10, 2007 04:45 AM (GMT)
Okay.. I'll do orange instead.. /ok
I'll do so later.. I have only little time to be here.

arachidonic - November 15, 2007 09:25 AM (GMT)
Mm... what about having friendly competitions between members?
Artwork, amvs competitions etc

Personally, I'm ready as a rat for a SOTW. Maybe one of these days when there are others who are interested, or maybe right now if I see people who want to partake in it too.

Fruitfly - December 5, 2007 04:01 AM (GMT)
Wheres the edit button? I can't find it.
I'm really stupid so I usually edit my post 2-5 times. :(
or am I really stupid for not seeing it anywhere?

edit: ok i see it but it keeps disappearing...

ThingleBrain - December 5, 2007 08:58 AM (GMT)
Just delete your post then repost. And cut down on your self-depreciating remarks. It doesn't impress anyone.

Before, the edit button for "new students" were not available, but after a few days, I changed it! Sorry about the inconvenience ^_^

Just thought people will go for higher ranks for more options.. But mass posting isn't exactly any different if you're gonna post something important ^_^

Sure, do you wanna host it? I'll make a thread and I'll let you have permission mask there, so you can govern over post and members.

Delete button doesn't exist for me I think. If I post, go to another thread, and come back, the edit button disappears. Is that normal?

Also, can you tell us what privallages does each rank gives?

Jman502005 - December 6, 2007 08:37 AM (GMT)
Lol, yes, the edit button disappears after a certain time limit. Though, I can't think of a time I didn't have a delete button... That should always be there regardless, unless Stephanie changed something. From the time after you post till always, all of the posts I've done in the past, including my very first one, I still have to option of deleting it, always have.

None. One's standing here is not determined by rank. Don't hesitate engaging any mod to an argument. Ain't no hierarchy here.

Stephanie - December 6, 2007 02:36 PM (GMT)
Actually, the "time limit" for the said edit button, it's the forum itself.. Members can't edit their old post.. Only mods and admins can do so.. (and I thought Juniors could too, but I guess the forum has it's own mechanism)

As for delete button, it's available once you've reached Sophomore level.

I think a rep system would be PWNing.
+ rep if someone helps out a person or does something else that would deserve a rep.

- rep if the person is being. . .negative. :]

I never thought it's possible with invisionfree..

Well, we'll wait for Rosa Foetida (the handy person of the forum, who fixes the skins and buttons here ^_^)

ThingleBrain - January 5, 2008 07:47 AM (GMT)
Nah, no reps here please. Reps are just another method to indirectly stifle free speech. Many people give me a bad rep when they disagree with me.

Whatever we type in here is our own business. Try judging elsewhere. :P

Stephanie - January 5, 2008 08:12 AM (GMT)
I was thinking the same thing, I mean reputations.. Actually, I don't think they will be a good idea either..

Even if one gets more reputation than the other, that doesn't mean the other's opinion is smaller.. Besides, we're a small forum dedicated to only one particular anime, not too many that one has to wonder if the information one gives is helpful, so I don't think we need one.

If anyone feels it is needed, please express your opinions.. ^_^

Shine - January 5, 2008 10:59 AM (GMT)
Riiight, ookay. >_> Rep system is rejected I guess.

Anyways, what about background music?

I'm not going to post any links here since this one might get rejected too :D

Well, the negative side of this is. . ."STFU, GAWD DAMN MUSIC!" Could happen, ya know? >_>

No... No more of that, I've already had my fair share of nightmares because of that retched noise...

Stephanie - January 5, 2008 04:53 PM (GMT)
How about the background music I used when I declared my soeur?
(Check the thread, it's there ^_^)

Well, seriously, hmm.. people have different taste, and if I did put Maria-sama audio for BGM, will people really like to hear that all the time /?

I just noticed...

Something's weird with the rankings... there's new student, sophomore, junior, and senior... but aren't there just three years of high school?

Depends on where you go to school. The US has four, other countries it depends, shifts between three and four. I don't think there's anywhere with less or more.

@ Stephanie

Couldn't we just leave this up to the people who start the threads? As for the site in general, does there really need to be any BGM? Unless the music shifted to a different song every time you change a page, I mean a new song that would cycle through every time you click on a new thread or forum, wouldn't it get kind of old and annoying?

lilgumba - January 21, 2008 02:57 PM (GMT)
Hmmm...I personally don't like BGM in forums or websites because I am usually multitasking with itunes blasting so it kills my other music. :P

Lol, like I've doing right now, listening to iTune's and browsing the forums. I don't either, but I figured I'd throw out an idea to see how that went over with people.

Ennis - January 21, 2008 06:13 PM (GMT)
I've usually got music on too, so having another sound interfering with that would be bad. Or worse, if I've left my volume up high and a page suddenly starts playing music...

Yea, but isn't Lillian just three years?

The BGM scares me a lot when people integrate it onto the page >__<
I don't remember which page was it... the desudesudesu nearly knocked me off my chair..

We have four in the Phils.

LastRaven - January 26, 2008 05:11 PM (GMT)
And four years worth having, I think, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Anyways, may I request for a smily that gets smacked by a weight, ya know it gets flat after it get hit. Or do we have that already?

Ok, so I guess we'll stay with the Junior as the highest instead.. I'll change it later..

As for the music, I mentioned already people have different taste and wouldn't want that.. (And if ever..) The only music I'll put are Maria-sama musics.. :P I have 1GB+ of it XD

Ennis - January 30, 2008 12:43 AM (GMT)
Senior makes sense as the highest since it's the last year. Maybe you could make it Freshman-Junior-Senior or something? Sophomore is a silly sounding word anyway

ThingleBrain - January 30, 2008 02:32 AM (GMT)
At times like this, It feels good to be an alumnus.

Anyways, I'll go hunt for some possible smilies. Is it okey if I post it here when I find them?

violoncello - January 31, 2008 04:27 AM (GMT)
what about first year, second year, and third year?

I don't really like the freshmen, sopho, junior, senior thing... it's a lot simpler with numbers xD;

Shine - February 27, 2008 05:32 AM (GMT)
What about a "chat system"?

It would be used for those who wish the IM each other on the forum. x_x

Just a suggestion . . .
