Title: What kind of of soeur would you want?

Sukoshi - March 12, 2008 03:17 AM (GMT)
This topic appeared on the YCML, and I wanted to repost it here, because this is a Marimite forum. If you were to have a "soeur" in real life, what kind of person would he/she be? Now to clarify, so that not everyone completely misses the point: a "soeur" is a person of any gender with who you would want to enjoy a close, non-romantic, relationship with. It could have the sempai-kouhai model, it could not, so no requirements. No comparisons with a real sister if you have one, please.

What would I like in a soeur? Someone who can remind me when I forgot some deadline or another (which I inadvertently will always do), someone who understands that the largest threat to my self-confidence is myself, someone who is quirky and understands that I am quirky too, someone who wouldn't mind arguing divisive issues, someone with whom I can gossip with, someone who enjoys reading, and someone who doesen't mind listening to a rant or giving one out :)

One who would wear a collar and leash while I drag her along the floor.

And then I'll drag you with a car with a taser! /gg

Hmm... me I kinda like one who understands me as I understand her.

Young Christian Marimite League?

I would want someone that I could trust utterly, that I could come to with absolutely any problem without fear of judgment or condemnation. I would also like them to live close enough to me that we could see one another regularly, because there's many a time when verbal or text communication just doesn't cut it. :)

I'd say one that I can really depend on. It'll be hard to have a slacker for a soeur since I'm sort of a slacker myself! And said soeur should be someone who could motivate me to do better in my studies since I've been sooo lazy lately.

Since this is the MariMite forum, I guess I'd like somebody kind of Yoshino-esque. Somebody who cares for me but is honest enough to tell me when I'm being stupid. Somebody to walk beside me, not leading or following, not letting me be too soft or too hard. Somebody to confide in and motivate me, and vice versa. Somebody who gets really cute when they're jealous ^_^.

Clicky!

Will be moved there in a few moments later.. Anyway, "soeur" is sister in French and "frere" is brother :P (Now that I think of it, I don't think there's a system like this in Hanadera.. I remember in the OVAs Yuuki and the others sticking to "Student Council President" instead of Yamayurikai, Rosa etc. thing like Lilian Jogakuen does)

Young Christian Marimite League?

LOL
Never heard of that

Sukoshi, would you mind giving a link to YCML please?

Come to think of it.. Even if the title is "The Virgin Mary is Watching Over Us" never has it been a huge point for me that they really are in a Christian school, or their religion is Christian.. I guess the show promotes the relationship more, than Maria watching over them.. Just my 2 cents.

Im so surprised there arent more post in here but you guys are riot some of these replies had me on the floor.

As me i think my perfect soeur would be someone that carries herself well very elegant and kind of willful, speaks her mind and doesnt really care what others think of her. My best example would have Shizuka but i would love a combination of Shizuka and Sachiko.
