A strong, handsome, young male elf sat upon the back of a solid white, young female pegasus. He had traveled long and far to reach the school, and now, finally, he had arrived. He could see it just off a little ways. Seeing the whole school and its grounds was an amazing sight. It was beautiful.
Enelya flew gracefully high above the clouds. As she realized too that they were there, she stopped in mid air, and dove straight down to the steppes where she saw other pegasi and unicorns too. Aranel just about flew off her back, but he was just barely able to grab a hold onto her mane and press himself against her back as she went straight down. He could barely keep his eyes open, for the wind was blasting in his face.
When they were getting close to the ground, Aranel started to worry. He lightly tugged on Enelya's mane, signaling for her to slow down and pull up. She didn't slow at all, or pull up. Aranel was scared now and started yanking on her mane. "Enelya, stop, pull up!" he shouted in her ear over the blasting air. Soon, they were only a few yards from the ground. Aranel yelled. They got close to six feet from the ground and he closed his eyes, turning his face away and bracing himself for impact.
Several seconds later, they still hadn't hit. Aranel slowly opened his eyes. He was alive, he was alive! He sat straight up and whooped. Then, he turned on Enelya. He glared at her. She glanced back at him, whinnying playfully. Aranel laughed. He knew he could trust her with his life, it was just scary when she did that.
The pegasus landed lightly on the ground. Enelya folded her wings in and knelt on the ground. Aranel jumped off and Enelya quickly took off to go graze with the others. He laughed, watching the filly play. He sank back into memories of when he first met her. She was just a baby.
Finally returning to the real world, Aranel ventured over to a nearby tree. He sat underneath in the shade, pulling out an apple he had leftover from his trip.
