July 31st? Would be a month after NHL free agency opens. Gives all GM's plenty of time to retool their rosters. Sound good?

I think we need a poll with every possible deadline date before we can decide on this.

Just kidding, July 31st is fine. smile.gif

Admin Rule:

No playoff free agent adds, including waiver adds. Your can still call up players from your minor league system, but no UFA signings.

Free Agency will begin at the completion of our league championship game.

What are you pointing out? I asked when we are reducing our farm teams. This rule was just implemented. Just curious to what you are trying to say.

Just a new rule for this upcoming season and beyond. There was confusion about FA adds during this past years playoffs.

This change still needs to be made to the scoring catagories on Yahoo.

Your summary looks good Flyers. Thanks.

Now we just need a cap amount from the NHL to work with.

At this point the salary cap will be $98.28 million. That's using the 70.2 x 1.4. It isn't a hard number to this point yet though as we will have to see if the NHL and NHLPA change this amount.

Since the floor cap was last years NHL cap, that would make this years floor cap this years, right? 70.2? Just want to make sure.

Each GM must keep in mind that this league will have a $89.3 million hard cap. The cap is a floating $25 mil above the real NHL cap and may go up or down depending on the yearly NHL cap. This league will have a salary cap floor which will be the current cap of the NHL each year, so $64.3 is the floor. This is to help prevent tanking and make each team try to stay competitive year in and year out.

Would make sense to have it at 70.2 by that rule in bold.

I'd like to put forth the suggestion of a variation to the moves limit rule.

Next season I propose we move to a set # of moves for the season, before moving to a move limit for the playoffs.

Something like 75-100 for the regular season then 4/week in the playoffs.

The reason I'm suggesting this is that with the 4 moves per week limit, teams like mine which are getting hit hard by injuries are having a hard time keeping active players in my line-up.

Just my 2 cents...
