Now i've slept and dreamed about Whitney. I wonder if the fight caused this, everyone assumes drugs, but you never know.
She sings Yes Jesus loves me as her final song, gets into a fight afterward, is photographed bleeding. Meets with Clive Davis that morning, is found by a member of her entourage. Initially they were saying she was found by Ray J, Brandys brother. If she was bleeding i wonder if it was from her nose and if there could have been some sorta latent trauma affect, sorta like Natasha Richardson.

Another is around the time of Bodyguard. The mania was just absurd.
And finally actually watching the Bodyguard the bodyguard the first time on some family night in my parents bedroom.

Authorities today are investigating what caused the death of legendary singer Whitney Houston who captivated audiences with her powerful voice while battling drug use and a rocky marriage with Bobby Brown.
On Saturday, paramedics raced to the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel and found a lifeless Houston inside her hotel room bathtub, authorities said.
Members of Houston's entourage reportedly found her unresponsive body and called hotel security. Officials tried to resuscitate the 48-year-old singer with CPR but were unable to revive her.
Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen said she was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. "No obvious signs of foul play and no obvious signs of a cause of death," Rosen said.
Los Angeles Coroner Office officials left with Houston's body around 1:50 a.m. PT. An autopsy is expected to be conducted today or Monday, according to ABC News Los Angeles station KABC.
The singer's cause of death remains unknown according to her publicist, Kristen Foster.
The coroner's office declined to speculate how Houston died when asked about reports that she may have drowned.
When asked about drugs in the room, Ed Winter, with the Los Angeles County Coroner's office, said he could not comment on it. Winter said he could not comment on the condition of the body and whether she was naked or not.
Just hours before her death, Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, and her cousin, Dionne Warwick, reportedly both spoke to the singer and said there was no indication that anything was wrong. Warwick spoke to her over the phone to check that they were seated at the same table at Davis' party and Cissy Houston talked to her at around 3:15, TMZ reported. Clive Davis Party Houston was staying at the hotel to attend music industry executive Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy bash. It is the same event where she was introduced to the record industry nearly three decades ago.
Hours after her death, the party still went on but the scene was surreal.
The Beverly Hills crime lab was parked outside as paparazzi camped out waiting for Houston's body to emerge.
Her Final Days Her final days were marked by questions about her sobriety. Houston's stay at the Beverly Hilton involved heavy partying, according to news reports. A duet with Grammy nominee Kelly Price at a party in a Hollywood nightclub earlier this week would become Houston's final performance. Houston was there with her daughter having a good time. But photos show a disheveled, bloated and agitated Houston leaving and she reportedly had blood dripping down her leg, scratches on her wrist and had to be escorted from the club.
But the people who knew her said she was simply sweating from her performance. "There was nothing wrong. There was nothing wrong. She was singing, she was dancing, she was laughing, she was playing…" Price said. "I'm going to remember her just like that because that's the Whitney I always had the pleasure of being around." ABC News' Sheila Marikar, Cecilia Vega and The Associated Press contributed to this report. |

"I was so devastated to hear about Whitney Houston's passing" she was one of my biggest inspirations as a little girl. I attended the Clive Davies Pre Grammys party and there were many touching tributes to Whitney, but Alisha Keys and Jesse James made me cry with their heart felt performances dedicated to Whitney. Richard Branson was also honored for his contribution to the music industry. I was there with his family and friends to show our support. "

Apple has been criticised for seemingly exploiting the death of Whitney Houston after the price of her albums on iTunes increased following her death, although further reports have indicated that label Sony Music is responsible for the hike.
Fans of the late singer, who was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday (February 11) at the age of 48, spoke out after discovering that the cost of her back catalogue had been put up since her passing.
Houston's 2007 Ultimate Collection increased by £3 to £7.99 in the space of just 30 minutes, with iTunes users reporting that they were prevented from downloading the LP at its original advertised price while the update occurred. It is not yet known who is behind the price increase, with some fans suggesting the label Sony Music or publisher may be responsible.
Some accused Apple of "cashing in" on the tragedy, while others said that the company should be "ashamed" of supposed "shameless exploitation".
One customer, who claimed to have spent two hours trying to purchase the Ultimate Collection at its original price, added: "To say I am angry is an understatement and I feel it is just a case of iTunes cashing in on the singer's death, which in my opinion is totally parasitic.
"The album itself is great so please don't be put off purchasing it, just [realise] that you will merely be lining some fatcat's pocket before Whitney's lifeless body is cold."
Digital Spy readers have also registered their objection at the new prices, with Twitter user @CallumGriffiths describing the move as "disgusting".
He added: "Understandable that she would go up in the charts, but that's just making every last penny they can from her death!"
Another, @InTheLittleWood, argued: "I'd say disgusted but maybe artists have agreements with their labels about it, to ensure their kids / family stay afloat?"
Despite the price increase, the Official Charts Company has said that they expect Houston to dominate the singles and album charts next week.

Dreadful business.
We can't really know anything until the official report comes through.
Doesn't stop the press speculating though.

Who orders a turkey sandwich and a hamburger with fries? I only order 1 sandwich. Who then decides to eat the turkey in the bathroom. I think that part sounds kinda odd. I wonder if Whitney had company that skipped out on her when she died.
It also doesnt seem like you'd sink under water after dying. but maybe it depends on positioning. i think most of us only have small tubs, maybe that was a huge tub.

Hopefully.
There will be a live stream with one camera only and it will be on the news but it won't be a live broadcast at a set time on TV as it happens.
It's so frustrating. That interview where she talks about MJ is upsetting. It's such a cliche, how could they both be so stupid? The fact that so many people in history have ended up that way, should be enough for anyone to stay clear.

Netflix: Reports that we were forced to pull The Bodyguard from Watch Instantly after Whitney Houston's death are 'just not true'
By Andrew Couts | Digital Trends – 1 hr 14 mins ago
Reports that Netflix was forced to pull The Bodyguard from its streaming library following the death of the film’s star, Whitney Houston, are false, according to Netflix. This directly refutes an account by Dan McDermott, a long-time journalist and host of the Web show Google Plus Week, who said a Netflix representative told him that “the production company” pulled Netflix’s rights to stream the 1992 film because “there was an opportunity to make really a very large amount of money on the DVD sales” due to a surge in publicity after the singer’s death on Saturday, February 11.
“It’s just not true,” said Steve Swasey, Netflix Vice President of Corporate Communications, in an email with Digital Trends. “Netflix has [The Bodyguard] on DVD but not streaming. We haven’t had it on streaming since the license expired last year. Nothing to do with Ms. Houston’s unfortunate and untimely death.”
McDermott says he went to watch The Bodyguard on Netflix on Saturday night, but found that it wasn’t available for streaming. “This was interesting since it is 20 years old,” wrote McDermott in a post on his Google+ page. “I checked the comments under the movie post on netflix.com and saw a bunch of complaints saying that it had been available for streaming until her death.” (Those comments do, in fact, exist.)
So, McDermott called Netflix to see what had happened. According to McDermott, this is what a Netflix representative told him: “Okay Dan, I just went and talked to my main supervisor as to why the movie had been pulled and the reason it was pulled was the production company pulled the streaming rights from us because all the publicity after Whitney Houston’s passing there was an opportunity to make really a very large amount of money on the DVD sales of her movies. So they’re going to pull all the streaming titles we have of Whitney Houston so they can make more money off the DVD sales of her movies.”
Despite Netflix’s claims to the contrary, McDermott stands by his story.
“I publish three newspapers and first started in news when I was news director at WLVA in 1987. I was aware of the sensitive nature of the story and was cautious and responsible,” McDermott told us via email. “The quote I printed is accurate. I cannot speak to whether the Netflix representative was telling me the truth but I asked him to verify what the Netflix users were saying (that it was pulled after her death) and the guy came back and said what he said. I tripled checked to get the quote accurate.
“He said that he had checked with two supervisors and that the ‘main’ one told him why it had been pulled.
“Personally I believe that the kid told me what his supervisors said. I can’t imagine that they were pulled after her death in some bizarre coincidence.
“Also, it is important to note that Netflix is not the bad guy in this. Unless they lie now.”
McDermott’s report that The Bodyguard was pulled from Netflix’s Watch Instantly selections as a crass attempt to boost DVD sales comes after Sony was forced to apologize for raising the price of two of Whitney Houston’s albums on the UK version of iTunes just hours after her death. Sony says the price hike was a mistake. At present, The Bodyguard is still available as a free streaming title for Amazon Prime members.

Anyone know where I can track down an mp3 of the version of I Will Always Love You from the finale of The Bodyguard?
Always loved this performance and the different arrangement.
I considered posting on a Whitney forum to ask...anyone know any that are semi-busy?

I'd been hearing R Kelly was good. Maybe I heard a different perfomance, as I thought he was terrible. Though thought that counts.

I like that version as well. I watched "The Bodyguard". It was on TV about a week before Whitney died and I recorded it and only just got around to watching it today.
It's been on a few times since then of course.
Whitney's most MJ-type video, in my view. A bit of tweaking of the lyrics and he could be in this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H-jLOoz-YY&feature=relatedI've got this song on vinyl. The only other Whitney stuff I own is "Count On Me" and a Greatest Hits collection and I'm not even sure when I bought that.

I woke up with I didn't know my own strength in my head. Seems to be the main song I think of in regards to her for some reason. Poor Whitney.

Still very sad about Whitney. What an incredibly talented singer she was. I always liked her as a person as well. She obviously had her issues, but I think she was a good person but she just wasn't able to get past her demons.
But I was and still am so shocked that Whitney Houston is dead! It just doesn't seem right. It reminds me of that awful time when MJ passed. His passing didn't seem real to me. It still doesn't at times.
Of all the celeb deaths, Whitney's has hit me the hardest (After MJ that is). So very sad. I will miss her.
American guy - April 13, 2012 06:20 PM (GMT)
 Yeah, even reading the words "that awful time when MJ passed" still seems a bit surreal.
I've noticed the news that Princess Di was supposed to be in the Body Guard part 2 has gotten stirred up again.
