psychological description» In general, Rhyan is definitely an "in your face" sort of person...very blunt and outspoken Don't let the cute clothes and pretty face fool you, she's a fire cracker and not afraid to get on anyone's bad side. In fact, she actually likes to get on people's bad side, pissing people off just for the hell of it is one of her favorite past times. She loves to argue and fight with people and will not hold anything back. Rhyan is also rather conceited, she knows that she looks good and she probably thinks higher of herself than she probably should.
On the other hand, since she first came to live at Lorcan's place, she has become more of a laid back sort of person. Lorcan is really the only person that she actually has any real respect for, she loves to make him happy and will do pretty much anything for him that he asks of her. She's very passionate about the things and people that she loves and will put 200% into whatever it is.
skills/abilities» One of her few, real, passions is the one she has for cooking. Rhyan absolutely loves to cook and try out new things in the kitchen. She never follows recepies or other people's directions, whether it will actually taste good or not, she prefers to just do her own thing. She's a natural though and the little twists and tweaks she makes to certain foods usually turns out for the better. But, as much as she enjoys cooking, she hasn't done much of it lately, she's not really sure why.

physical description» Rhyan is your typical American beauty, with long blonde hair and bright, piercing blue eyes. She's not tall exactly, standing at about 5'5, but that doesn't bother her, she never wanted to be 5'9 or taller anyway. She's a rather voluptuous woman, very curvy and pleasing to the eyes. She likes to keep herself in the best shape she can, working out several times a week to make sure that she always looks her best.
When it comes to everything else, like her style and whatnot, Rhyan has two extremes. On one hand, she likes to wear very chic, very beautiful and very expensive clothing. On the other hand however, she is also a fan of wearing a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Really it just depends on the mood she is in for the day on what style of clothing she will be found in. She has her ears pierced, but that is the only piercing that she ha. She doesn't have any tattoos either, it's not that she's against them, she just hasn't found anything that she likes enough to keep forever.

history» Rhyan was born the day before Christmas to a small, middle class family in Texas. Though they weren't rich by financial means, they were quite rich when it came to love and happiness. Her parents absolutely adored their little Christmas present and would do anything in their power to insure her happiness. Even as a baby she was beautiful, born with blonde hair and bright blue eyes, she was the envy of all the parents at the hospital who had more...homely looking babies.
She was very smart, learning to walk and talk at a very early age. Her parents couldn't be happier with their daughter and were very pleased that their only child was such a treasure. They tried to have other children, to give Rhyan a younger brother or sister, but had no such luck. Rhyan didn't mind though, she preferred to have her parents undivided attention and she didn't like the idea of having to share that attention with anyone. She got used to being the center of attention and getting whatever she wanted at a very early age, not really the best thing for a young girl to get used to, but that was her life and she loved every second of it.
She really started to shine when she started school, she proved to be very smart indeed, she was always at the top of her class. She was one of the few who truely enjoyed going to school and loved to learn new things. Her teachers loved her, she did what she was told and was a master of sucking up, though she would only do so when she needed an extension on something or had no other way to get what she wanted. When she got into high school, she really blossomed, becoming more beautiful than ever before. She was loved by the majority of her peers since she was about as nice as they come, not everyone's life can be perfect forever though.
When she was nearing her 17th birthday, her and her parents had gone out to dinner one night and were on their way home when they saw a man on the side of the road who appeared to be in great need of assistance. Her father, Lance, had always been a "help those in need" sort of person, so of course he pulled over to help the man...it would turn out to be one of the biggest mistakes of his life. The man was far from being a simple man in need, no, he was much more than that. This night was the first night that Rhyan became aware of the exhistance of vampires.
Rhyan and her mother stayed in the car when her dad got out to help the man, the vampire must have been near death from starvation because he attacked almost immediately after Lance was out of the car. Rhyan watched in horror as her father was drained right before her very eyes, the only sound she could hear was her mothers screams. The man then turned his sights on the car and quickly pulled Rhyan and her mother outside it. Renae pleaded for the life of her daughter, begging the man not to kill her. The man laughed as he took hold of Renae's shoulders, holding her to him as he drained her of blood.
Rhyan was practically paralyzed with fear, she couldn't run, she couldn't scream...in the blink of an eye her whole world had been turned upside down. Her whole body trembling, she closed her eyes when he let go of her mother and came towards her. She was tense, waiting for the pain that was sure to come, but it didn't When she finally opened up her eyes, the man was simply standing there in front of her, his head tilted slightly, "You're much too pretty to die...if I had a liking for pets you would most certainly be mine...concider this your lucky day, I'm going to let you live." And then he was gone.
The life she had loved so much no longer exhisted and she was devestated. She had been sent to live with her grandparents, but she did not stay with them for long. Rhyan was no longer the person she had been before her parents were killed. She quit going to school and ran away from her grandparents house, she wanted to leave behind any reminders of what had been stolen from her. Unlike most people who lose their loved ones to immortals however, she didn't begin her new life trying to rid the world of vampires, instead she became completely obsessed by them, wanting to learn everything she could about them.
She no longer wasted her time with human men, instead she was pretty much only attracted to a man if she knew that he was, in fact, a vampire. It wasn't long after she turned 18 that she met Lorcan outside a small club in California. She knew what he was at once, only vampires had the sort of grace and beauty that he had, he was gorgeous and she wanted him. He brought her to live with him at his home that night as one of his girls, which has proved to be one of the best experiences of her life and she has not looked back since.
