So your chars want kids? Or better, you want them to have them even though they don't? Great! There's just a few simple rules. ^^

("Hm? Why better? Is that fun, SG?" Oh, LOADS of fun. Especially if your characters are leaning toward the Evil Psycho side of life! <3 You can drive them CRAZY! =D "What? But SG, isn't that mean?" .. PFFT. Why do you think it's fun? xD *SHOT*)


1) Remember, NO explicit RPing! Just imply lightly, then come post here. ^^

2) In order to request a breeding topic, please ensure both parties involved are agreed to it, at least the players if not the characters. ;P It's much appreciated if you entitle your post with their names as well. (I.E.- "Sparky x Fluff", or "Ebon and Snow", etc.)

3) Please ensure your requested 'mon are ABLE to breed. '^^ Your Sneasel and that Abra just aren't going to make anything, I'm sorry. Heh. (VERY rare promo exceptions may be allowed.) '^^ Also, it does require a male and a female to produce offspring, though that doesn't mean other couplings aren't allowed.
(But hey, all those who can't breed can sure have fun trying. >3 Hehehe..)

4) Respect the Mod's reply, as it isn't as though they're choosing it anyway; chance is chance, and it isn't they're fault if you don't get just what you were wanting.

5) After a successful breeding, it will take between one and three months (real time = game time, remember) for the female to give birth. This depends on species and such, but is mostly just member discretion, heh. Preferably, the simpler the 'mon (bugs, etc.) the faster and the more 'complex' (most humanoid, etc) the slower, but honestly, the BIGGEST reason for this is so if you're inactive or know you're going to be inactive a few weeks it won't hurt anything to rush it or wait accordingly; or if you're in a hurry for kids or if you really want to make the most of RPing a pregnancy, either can be done. :3

6) After giving birth, a female must wait six months to safely breed again. If by some tragedy all of her children have died, been taken, and/or even been abandoned, she may try again as early as three months later, given at least one full month has passed since she had to care for them. Three months is technically possible even if she is still caring for her current children, but EXTREMELY dangerous, and will likely result in fewer and less healthy children as well as severe complications on the mother's part. Attempting to breed, even being force-bred, before three months have passed will always result in a failure as her body is not ready yet.

Once you have read and understand these rules, you may post your topic, and a mod will reply accordingly. :3 He or she will determine whether or not the attempt was successful, how many kids you'll be having, and how many of each gender. This will be done via a coin and a die, either in real life or with the help of Random.org~

First, was it successful? The mod will flip a coin two times-
Heads + Heads: Yes
Tails + Tails: Yes
Heads + Tails: No


Afterward comes how many? The mod will roll a standard six-sided die. This works SLIGHTLY differently between packs and tribes:

PACK:
1: 1 Kid
2,6: 2 Kids
3, 5: 3 Kids
4: 4 Kids

TRIBE:
1, 5: 1 Kid
2,6: 2 Kids
3: 3 Kids
4: 4 Kids

Both have a chance of anywhere between one and four kids at a time, tribes just average slightly less, as they are more humanoid, and people do tend to have less kids than most animals, yes?

Hm? Oh, but even people CAN have ridiculous amounts, right? Like octuplets? >3 Well, for your pleasure, we have a Special Chance Card, too!! For both Tribes and Packs. ^^ ONLY IF YOU REQUEST IT, the Mod can roll one additional die. 1-4 is nothing special happens. 5 will result in one extra child, an identical 'twin' (though the whole litter may be more than 'twins') to one of the others. A 6 will result in DOUBLE the litter size, as many identical or fraternal as you want. x3 This gives you fair odds of either two or four kids, though it CAN result in as many as six or eight! If you request the Chance Card, you MUST be willing to accept the results, but remember you can always have some die off, morbid as that is, heh. '^^

The Chance Card may be tried with every breeding, but after winning something you must wait for at least five more attempts by any of your characters.

Then once the number is decided, the Mod will simply flip a coin for each child. (If a Chance Card was used and you won an identical extra, they will flip only for the original number, as the identical will be the same as one of the originals of your choice, heh. If you're lucky enough to get a DoubleSize, Mods will skip this step, and you will be allowed to decide all genders, as- like I said- you may have as many fraternal or identical as you want, be that every one is different or (with Octs as an example) all eight are exactly alike, heh. ;P)

LEGENDS~

Regarding legends, rules are essentially the same with a few small exceptions. Litter size is determined by this chart, regardless of pack or tribe.

1,4,5: 1 Kid
2,6: 2 Kids
3: 3 Kids

NO chance card may be tried. Legends can't have quite as many kids on average, and will never have psycho litters. This is in order to ensure that while legends are indeed more common on Lunalei than in many places, they should not become so common that they lose all special-ness. ^^
