[Tomonari]

As neutral as this area was, there was a sight that was always strange to see. Sitting some distance away from the pond at the bottom of the waterfall, was a Halian pokemon calming a Padaran. This exact same sight had been going on for about a year and a half now. Once again, Tomonari had one of his breakdowns, and Bernard was there to calm the pup. Bernard was sitting cross legged, with the Growlithe sitting underneath the hybrid's arm, whimpering and shivering still. The Machoke/Slaking/Infernape hybrid looked at his adopted son, and calmly whispered to him, "Easy Tom, it's alright now. Nothing's gonna hurt you." Luckily, it was almost time for the pup to go to sleep, but seeing as how Tomonari was still frightened, that wasn't going to happen soon.

Bernard sighed a little when Tomonari continued to whimper. It wasn't as bad now, but he couldn't stand seeing the pup like this. He just hoped nobody would come around and attack them, as that would make the pup's mood even worse. "Papa...", Tomonari said with a shakey tone, and shifted himself so that he would be closer to his foster father. In response, Bernard sighed again, and rubbed the Growlithe's fur, trying to comfort him some more.

There was crunching of leaves as a Pokemon neared the area Bernard was in. From the sound of it, it was Padaran, and very heavy. It came to the edge of the water, but it couldnt see Bernard as he was partially obscured by the mist, and the Padaran was facing away a little bit. You could see an Arcanine-like body, and two huge tusks protruding from its face. It bent over to take a drink of water.

The hybrid looked up as he comforted his son, and took a quick look around. He looked through the mist, and could somewhat see a Padaran, one with an Arcanine body and huge tusks. Bernard looked over at the pokemon for a while, and then turned his attention back to Tomonari. It seemed as if the newcomer wouldn't attack them, as he was calmly drinking water. But Bernard wasn't a mind reader, nor was he a psychic type in any case. In all honesty, he was getting too old to deal with the crap between Halians and Padarans. He rubbed the Growlithe's fur again, still trying to get Tomonari to calm down.

After a few, long moments, Tomonari's whimpering and crying turned into occasional snifs, with a few tears still coming from his eyes. A sigh of relief came from Bernard, and taking his left hand, gently wiped off a few tears from his son's face, "You alright now, son?" In response, the puppy pokemon didn't say a word, but eventually nodded. Then, Tomonari adjusted himself so that the front of his body could be seen, and then the Growlithe looked up. Tomonari wagged his tail a little, and then looked around.

From what he could see through the mist, Tomonari saw another pokemon there, but stayed where he was. As much as he wanted to meet the Arcanine/Mamoswine hybrid, he was too timid to actually go close to him.

The hybrid was okay, and was about to sit down when he heard Bernard's voice. His ear went up, and his head turned towards the two. He saw a Machoke and a Growlithe. He didnt care at all for the Halian/Padaran crap. It was stupid to him. He kinda wanted to go over and talk to them, but the Growlithe looked a little freaked out.

[Tomonari]

"Hm?", Bernard said as he watched his son looked over at something. Looking up, he noticed that it was that Padaran he saw, and then looked back at the pup. Bernard smirked at his son, and got the Growlithe's attention, "If you wanna go over there and talk to him, that's fine. I'm right here." He took his hand that originally comforted the pup and rubbed Tomonari's head a little. Though Bernard was a bit unsure of a 'mon on first meeting, he was fine with another, as long as said 'mon didn't attack his son. Bernard pat Tomonari on the back a little, urging the little guy to go meet someone new.

At first, Tomonari looked at his father for a few moments, unsure of what to do. The urging to go meet the Padaran eventually let the Growlithe stand up, and slowly walk over there. He stopped though, and looked back at Bernard. His father gave a slight nod that it would be alright. Tomonari stalled for a few more moments, and then trotted nervously over to the Arcanine/Mamoswine. Looking up at the Padaran, he said a bit shakily, "U-um, hi?"

He smiled as the pup walked closer to him. It was the first time someone hadnt been scared of him at first sight for his tusks. "Hey there! he said, his voice a little boomy, "My names Morru, how about yours?" The Growlithe looked cute to him. He already kinda liked the Machoke for being so kind to the pup.

[Tomonari]

Moruu's booming voice made Tomonari jumped a little, and the pup looked back worriedly at his father. Bernard gave him a look that told the Growlithe to go on and respond, and that it was alright. Tomonari looked back at Moruu, and replied, "I-I'm Tomonari.." His head bent down a little, and his floppy ears would have lowered, except for the fact that he couldn't lower them. Tomonari was shaking a little, and then tried to say something else, "Um...e-er....." He didn't know what to say, as he wasn't used to starting a conversation.

Back over at Bernard, the Machoke/Slaking/Infernape hybrid sighed a little, but couldn't help but chuckle. This was rather impressive for the Growlithe, but it seemed he would need a little help. Standing up, Bernard turned and walked over towards Tomonari and Morru. Then, he got down on one knee, rubbing Tomonari's head a little. he looked over at Moruu, and said, "Don't mind him stammering. He isn't used to talking to others. Name's Bernard."

"Hey Tomonari!" He said. He knew that he was startling the pup, but he cant really change his voice. He was about to say something after Tomo stammered, but then he saw the Machoke getting up. Hed like to know him, too. "Oh its fine. I wouldnt hurt him. And my name's Moruu, if you didnt hear" Moruu said while smiling.

[Tomonari]

Bernard wasn't intimdated by Moruu's booming voice. He chuckled a little, and then said, "Nice to meet ya, Moruu." He decided that it was best if he sat down now, which he did. The hybrid sat cross legged again, and then pat Tomonari gently on the back again. If he was too rough, well, the Growlithe would probably have a broken back, or a body snapped in half. His attention went back to Moruu, and Bernard continued, "So tell us, what exactly are you up to here? Not that I'm thinking you're up to something."

Tomonari, on the other hand, scootched closer to his father, not quite used to the, from his view, oversized Arcanine and his booming voice. He was still looking up at Moruu with frightened eyes, though his body did sake a little less after Bernard came along. With the way Moruu acts though, Tomonari might at one point just jump on the 'mon playfully next time he sees him. That is, if he became used to the hybrid by then.

"Just walking around. Dont have much to do at all. You?" He said. Moruu couldnt help but love the pup. Even though he looked frightened, he didnt think he was scared all the time. He wished he could play with Tomo without scaring him.

[Tomonari]

"Eh nothing much with us either. We live here, and for certain reasons we don't bother going anywhere else.", Bernard replied to Moruu. He paused for a moment, and waited a few moments. Then, he spoke up again, "I've been taking care of Tomonari for a year and half I think it's been. Poor kid's parents were killed, and I brought it upon myself to protect him." Bernard looked down at his son, who probably didn't like remembering his parents' deaths all too well.

It wasn't only that, however. When Tomonari looked at Moruu, the hybrid reminded him of his late father, minus the tusks. Even with these thoughts going through his mind, it didn't bother the pup at the moment. He just got over crying about it, and he wasn't able to start worrying about it again. However, his curiousity got the best of him. Slowly, he walked away from Bernard, and up to Moruu. He examined the tusks for a moment, and hesitated. For some reason, Tomonari then bent down, and then lept up, resting himself on one of Moruu's tusks.

The hybrid wondered what his son was doing, and folded his arms as he watched. Bernard eyed the Growlithe strangely as Tomonari looked at Moruu's tusks. It was then that he laughed loudly as the pup jumped onto one of the tusks. "I didn't think he'd go and do THAT now!", Bernard exclaimed.

Moruu mood turned to sadness when he mentioned Tomonari's parents dying. "That's such a sad thing to happen at such a young age." He said.
He had just looked down at Tomo, when the Growlithe lept onto his tusk! He looked a little surprised, but he wasnt that heavy at all, and its fine to let the little pup have some fun, no? He laughed, as he watched the Growlithe scramble up and rest on it.

[Tomonari]

Even though he was around the age where he had matured enough to start having kids, Tomonari was still a puppy, both mentally and somewhat physically. He layed on Moruu's tusk, seemingly without a care in the world. The fact that the hybrid and his father both laughed at this calmed the Growlithe down a little. He was starting to lighten up around Moruu, though he would still need to get used to his booming voice. Tomonari looked at Moruu, and began to think a little. The hybrid seemed like an uncle to him, for some reason. Usually, he never was able to meet someone else, mainly because of him being adopted by Bernard.

Bernard was still chuckling a little at the sight of his son on the Padaran's tusk. "Ah well. It seems he's taken a liking to you, Moruu. It's been a while since we've met someone who hasn't cared about the sides Tom and I come from.", he said. The hybrid remembered the first few days he spent with Tomonari. The Growlithe was so frightened, that he didn't even dare take a step away from Bernard himself.

He nodded. That also made sense as to why he was so frightened. "Yeah, i dont quite understand why nor do i like the tensions between Halians and Padarans. It's just stupid to me, really. I mean, you two get along fine, so why shouldnt they?" He said, while sort of crumpling up his nose.
While saying this, Moruu also wondered how long ti would take before the Growlithe noticed the dangling fangs wrapped around his tusk.

[Tomonari]

A sigh came from Bernard, and he shook his head, "I don't know. Seems to be more trouble than it's worth. Pretty much exiled myself when I saved Tomo, not that I cared. Even in his lifetime I doubt things will be patched up between both sides." If a small group were to even begin gaining peace between both sides, where would the job begin? Bernard didn't know, and was getting too old to worry about it. If he had the idea, he would go out and pull through with it. However, he would risk Tomonari's life most likely if he did so.

Tomonari looked around as best he could as he lay on Moruu's tusk. His tail wagged for a while, and then stopped. The process would repeat, as he didn't have anything to do. He did notice something around the hybrid's tusk though. It dangled around it, and the Growlithe became curious as to what it was. "Mr. Moruu? What's that around your tusk?", he asked.

[Eclipse]

Suddenly, a low growl was heard somewhere deep in the shadows.. two gleaming silvery eyes glowed in the darkness with a menacing and scary sort of pure evil. With quick and swift accuracy, the Weavile shot out towards a rock embedded into the falls and with razor-sharp claws carved a single word into it; death.

The Weavile lunged, claws gleaming, and used Night Slash with claws or pure darkness, aiming for Tomonari. He seemed small enough to the hybrid.. yes, he would make a fine meal indeed.

Moruu was about to reply, but then he heard and saw the Weavile carve into the rock. He realized that it was coming for Tomonari, and the first thing he thought was to protect him. Moruu immediately swung his head charply away from the Weavile's claws, and sublected his back to the Night Claw. He groaned as it hit.

[Tomonari]

Tomonari was waiting for Moruu's reply when everything became crazy. He became startled when the hybrid's body quickly shifted, causing the Growlithe to hang on for dear life. The pup tried to climb back on, but fell onto the ground with a soft thud. Standing up, the Growlithe looked around in shock, and saw the Weavile that had tried to attack him. He yelped and ran over to his father, becoming scared once more.

Bernard had immediately stood up when the Weavile attacked, and his mood became angry and hostile. He then noticed his son running over to him, and crouched down onto one knee again. The hybrid's arms protectively wrapped around his son, and he whipped his head around to face the Weavile, "Who the hell do you think you are?!"

[Eclipse]

The Weavile stopped and stood motionless for a few moments, and analyzed his opponents thoroughly. It seemed they were both decently strong, and determined the protect the younger pup. He figured it would be best to leavel; for now. Training would come in handy to beat these strong hybrids. Then, he realized he had been asked a question.

"I am.. the Raven." And with those final words spoken, the Rave disappeared by melting into the shadows.

Moruu looked around in the shadows while bracing himself for another attack. You never know where Weavile will come next. He also kept an eye on Tomonari, just to be safe.
