It's happening again... One of those weird dreams...

Soon, Hoshi woke up with a start, gasping and breathing heavily. It was another one of those dreams... Each time she had them, she felt something stirring in his brain... It scared her. This one was the most frightening as, like all the others, he saw it through the boy's own eyes. The creeping water slowly rising with her fear, the elation that the pokemon would be okay, the slowly creeping death... He put a paw to her chest, almost certain that she was close to actually dieing there. The scariest thing is... that it feels like I know that person... wait, what's a person? The little pokemon was hating this whole 'unknown knowledge' thing. It was driving him nuts. Lately, words were popping up that she didn't know of before. Trainer, human... why did all of them appear in his mind now?! He shook her head, as if to clear it, and tried to focus on the real problem.

Yesterday, she had been dared to go into the Amethyst Caves, a network of underground tunnels that linked to places all over Lunalei. There were scary monsters too, or at least the kids had rumors about them, but she hadn't really seen any... Maybe she was lucky? No... lucky pokemon don't get lost... Her stomach gurgled as she looked around, praying there was someone else here. Maybe a tribe or a pack lived in the caves? It didn't matter which now... She just didn't want to be in the darkness any longer.

A cool breeze blew through the air. Faint, eerie noises could be heard around you, and with it being almost pitch-black made it even scarier. The only light were the small glints of hiding crystals buried deep in the earthen tunnels. However, it was unknown these small flickers of light were beautiful gems; after all, most would suspect that small glimmers of light were supposedly dangerous when everything else around you sounded like the cries and breaths of a monster lurking nearby...

All of a sudden, a much larger light flashed in the distance, and one again cool air blew past your face. The eerie howls.. creepy sound... would this be the end? Or maybe it was a Pack or Tribe passing by who accidentally caused the scary feelings. It was unknown, and would stay that way unless you chose to investigate...

Hoshi just gulped as she saw the new source of light, panicking at first. What... What was that? Was it a monster? Or a pokemon? Or daylight? Or a trap? Or... After a while, the young one knew that it wasn't going to do anything to just panic... She didn't have a choice. Who would search down here? His parents might not find out that he was in the caverns... Gathering what little courage she had, Hoshi ran towards the light, praying that it wouldn't be something to hurt her.

After running just a short distance, soft voices could be heard, and one could just barely make out thin shapes. They stood on all fours--indicating it was indeed a Pack who was there. But perhaps they wouldn't attack Hoshi? After all, she was part Vaporeon and could probably stand on all fours if she tried... right?
All the same, they might even attack her anyway, or not at all. From the look of it, the Pack didn't seem too healthy. They were unhealthily thin, their fur clinging to their bones in a most frightening manner. And now, these Pokemon were only but a few teen feet or so away from Hoshi. They stopped, and a large Houndoom hybrid stepped forward.
"Who do we have here? Is it a Halian or a rogue?" The Houndoom stepped curiously a few pawsteps closer to Hoshi, and circled her a bit inspecting her from all sides. "I suppose you are a Halian. What a pity. Couldn't you walk on four legs? I might let you go then, but still. It would be against the pack law, and some entertainment would be nice..."
Well that was certainly a pleasant thought.
Anyway, by the tone of the Houndoom's voice--proud and slightly seductive--one could easily assume it was female. Her dark pelt shined, as it looked very sleek, and instead of being mixed in with orange tones she had light cerulean places of her body. A water-type? Possibly.
Either way, Hoshi would have to place her pawsteps and words carefully. One wrong move, and that would be the end of that. Careful. Be careful..

The little one just halted, frozen in fear as the Houndoom inspected her. This was bad... She had wanted to see a pack but not in this situation! They might eat her, actually! As the pack pokemon spoke and asked her to walk on all fours, she quickly nodded to that. "O-okay..." Slowly, she let herself move from just her hind legs to all four. It still felt weird for her, to have shifted to such a, in her eyes, strange position, but at the same time, something felt... right. Maybe it was her mother's blood? She didn't know. But from the Houndoom's point of view, it wouldn't have seemed like she was that familiar... yet at the same time, it wasn't really 'forced'. Curiouser and curiouser. "Is... this alright?" she asked, almost pleading. She was so frightened. She prayed that her father or mother was comming... Please, let them come...

The Houndoom growled, half-angry and half-amused. "What is your name? And why are you here? You look quite young, I believe. Young ones shouldn't be alone in places such as these..." she grinned. A fang stuck out, and it seemed as if it was a grin of maliciousness--that certainly wasn't good.
Taking another pawstep forward, the Houndoom's eyes scorche Hoshi's pelt. So cold they were anda bright blue; one could easily mistake them for chips of ice.

Hoshi became visibly frightened as she was glared at. She had never seen a pack before... She didn't know they could be so frightening. "M-my name's Hoshi, ma'am... I was dared to go in the caves... but I got lost. I don't know the way out." Praying that the pokemon here would be kind, she just awaited judgement, closing her eyes shut and hoping that their idea of 'helping' wouldn't be death.

The Houndoom glared more. Her eyes were devoid of emotion, her face completely expressionless. She was the kind of creature to scare people--not the creepy six-eyed three-headed squid monster kind of scary, but the intimidating kind of scary that she could rip you to pieces if she wanted to. "Begging for forgiveness is always a sign of weakness. One should never show any mercy or plead to not be attacked. As such, your life is of no use to me." She began charging up a water pulse to end the fae's life.
And then there was a large gust of wind; or was it wind?; that knocked over the Houndoom femme. In just a blink of an eye there was a male (or so one would assume) at her side with a valiant expression on his face.
"Have no fear, Aro is here! It's alright m'lady, you should be okay now. And don't mind it if you stand on two legs again. You're much prettier that way." With just a slightly suggesting wink he then released an Aura Sphere at the fae. He wasn't too tall for an anthro, coming up really only just above the Houndoom's head. Still, one could easily tell there was power to his attack as well as he himself. He was in fact a very muscular Pokemon.
For the most part he was a lion-like creature of an anthro. With a mane definitely muscular and not feminine--not even close to reminiscence of a Ninetale's mane, dare you say--and dark black fur, he certainly seemed mysterious. His eyes were a mesmerizing emerald hue. They scorched Hoshi's pelt with a most ravishing look of courtesy. Other than that he was pretty plain.

Hoshi just panicked as the attack was charged, forgetting a VERY important fact. She had Water Absorb. The attack would have just bounced off. "B-but I didn't say anything!" It was true, she was just hoping inside that she didn't die... not like the Houndoom cared. In her eyes, she was weak... which Hoshi understood. Really, she hadn't thought herself as strong anyway. So she could partly understand her thinking of the Halian as a weakling...

Suddenly, however, a figure appeared, stopping the charge and... calling the young pup 'pretty'? Instantly, she blushed at this, although she didn't know. That was... nice... although she didn't think of it as true. But more importantly, this pokemon seemed to be there to protect her. Were things looking up...? Was she going to be saved...?
