Other?:Dancing Diamond is an tribe that welcomes all bipedal species as members. The tribe's primary focus is on raising herds of animals in the Diamond Plains, though the primary and any secondary settlements that will be founded will also raise hardy crops. Any non-bipedal species that desire membership will need to be judged by the Chief and the Chief's Counsel on a case-by-case basis; however, options for entry and placement are rather limited and non-bipeds will not often get a chance to serve amongst the Combatants.
In addition, Dancing Diamond does not limit roles in the tribe by gender; any role, no matter how titled, can be filled by a male or female of suitable aptitude. Age is only a limiting factor in that someone too old or too young to suitably fulfill their duties will not receive the position. Ability is the biggest and most important factor when deciding what positions each member shall receive or whether they shall be replaced.
Explanation of Titles:Chief's Second - serves as the Chief's right hand. Can either be Guardian Commander or Village Watchman, or could be a third individual holding no other rank of note. If the Chief should die or be incapacitated, the Chief's Second takes command. Also serves as a special messenger for the Chief. If the Chief becomes unfit to command, it is EXPECTED that the Chief's Second remove him from leadership 'lest harm come to the tribe as a result.
Guardian Commander - head of the Guardians, the scouts, and the spies. Can also double as Chief's Second. Appointed by the Chief from the ranks of the combatants. Responsible for training the fighters and the herd guards. In case of the tribe expanding into multiple settlements, the Guardian Commander may appoint a Subcommander to oversee training and defensive measures while based in a secondary settlement.
Village Watchman - in charge of the settlement and those living within it. Can also double as Chief's Second. Appointed by the Chief from the ranks of the noncombatants. Responsible for day-to-day activities of the settlement. In case of multiple settlements, there will be a Village Watchman for each one.
Chief's Counsel - a group of no more than six individuals drawn from various ranks. This group is not a technical rank and theoretically any member of the tribe can be appointed at any time; the Chief is responsible for picking the counsel members each time the Chief's Counsel is formed. The Chief's Second may NEVER be a member. Responsible for judgments over issues (such as approving non-bipeds for membership), issuing basic laws when required, and issuing punishments when necessary.
Tribefolk: General class of tribe members. All new members are automatically part of this class until they are promoted to ranks deemed more suitable. Wives, husbands, and other mates of high-ranked individuals also fall into this category unless they already hold another rank and do not wish to relinquish it.
