How do you think they'd react?

How do you think Link/Zelda would react if the other one died?

I think both reactions would be a little different....but some of it would be the same.

Link---He'd either

a) Get incredible depressed, and really really be sad about her loss...[pretty much he'd turn into another Cloud Strife, I guess^^]

b ) Get into an evil rage, start attacking a lot of of people and end up getting himself killed....;_;

I believe Link would probably return to the forest, and somehow get in contact with Zelda's spirit form.

Zelda's reaction, I believe would be slightly different.

She'd probably be able to handle it better....She would probably be strong, for herself and for her 'kingdom'. She'd miss him dearly, but she would go on with her life, but she'd never forget Link no matter what.

That or...

I believe Zelda would crack....losing her mother, being a princess, AND losing her awesomely hot-almost- boyfriend? I think she'd seriously go insane, and cave into everything and mentally break down.

....Aw man, I'm gettin sad just thinking about it!

Actually, considering the position the Big-N and Miyamoto and Aonuma refuse to take on the matter, they'd probably just have Link move on and kill whoever killed her. Or just look angry, then move on to killing whoever killed her.

It's frustrating how little you can actually deduce from Link's character thus far in the series. I'm expecting TP to give Link a slightly larger palette of emotions, at least (cross fingers!).

Link'd become a loner, going mad from his sorrow and Zelda would become very sad and probably either marry a random royal person or try and resurrect him.

I do believe I heard once that : "No Hero will come from the same bloodline, only the Princess of Destiny shall come from the same bloodline of the original Princess."

In this case, so long as Zellie has a kid, there's ALWAYS gonna be another Link to try and make the moves on her. Bit retarded way of looking at it, and I'm sorry if it's cold, but, hey, at least we all get another chance...though I feel sorry for the current Link or Zelda who loses their lover...(and destined-to-be-forever-spending-days...etc.)

Amaya, I think you hit it on the nail when you said that Link would become another CLoud Strife if Zelda were to die. I agree with that. I mean, Link is a loner, not really by choice, but simply because he really doesn't fit in anywhere, and he doesn't have many friends. Zelda is probably one of the people he's ever been truly close to, someone who has shared the same dangers and understands what he goes through. Losing all that might make him crack. I'm sure he'd go out for revenge and kill her murderer, but in the end, it wouldn't really solve anything because it wouldn't bring Zelda back to life.

If Link were to die, I'm fairly certain it might be the same case, only Zelda would have to mask her grief and get on with her life. As a ruler of Hyrule, she can't afford to isolate herself and forget about the troubles of the rest of the world, or not marry. She would have to produce an heir to her throne, though her true love would always be her beloved Link. . . she would keep things to herself, smile while hiding despair inside . .. *tears up just thinking about it*

Oooh, they had better NOT kill Link or Zelda EVER. Or I shall be very VERY angry and come after them with sharp objects!

I had a storyline in my head along these lines...except they didnt die. Because every girl form Royal Family was called Zelda, I assumed that the heir the Zelda had was called-you guessed it-Zelda. And I just decided Link could have a kid too...and yes, for lack of originality, I called him LJ. And then all the fun that I planned...oh well. You girls can grab the storyline and make it amazing. I don't care.

It would be cool...if they had kids, and theur kids were L and Z too, and they did the massive sword fighting and pawnage. Yeah.

Heheh, I think it'd be interesting to see some sort of emotional death scene. But it'll never happen- Nintendo holds back too much and it would be just awkward without voice acting.

I think Link would become a very sad and quiet person who mostly keeps to himself. He may very well avenge her death, but after that he wouldn't quite know what to do with himself, methinks.

And I agree about Zelda handling it better. She's been trained to be queen of Hyrule, and she would move on. However, she would never be the same. She'd be a strong queen, but a sad one as well.

I think that if one or the other died, they would both snap. Link would probably go on a total killing rampage, going after whoever did Zelda in, and then fighting anything and everything until it killed him. I could see Zelda doing something of the same too, except (well, let's just assume it was Ganny who did the killing. He's such a scapegoat XD) she would probably bust into wherever Ganondorf was hiding, with a full army to take care of his minions, while she would take on the big bad herself. And to be really Shakespearian, they'd both end up killing each other (oh the drama!)

Hmm...maybe, like Link would just become like Shadow Link. Cold. Heartless. Read Celeborn00's Forgotten Demons and evaluate character called Demon. That's Link.

Zelda would...probably do the same? I'm so skeptical...

Well, the only way we'll know for sure is if one of them dies, but hopefully that won't be happening
