Good times, good times..., funny/random times while playing Zelda

I didn't really know where to put this since there's no 'General Zelda' Board, but I was just thinking about the great and random things that have happened to me while playing Zelda.. (More monolouging, yay! )

One of my many guy friends came and was going to stay with us for a week because his parents were on some kind o buisness trip. And all we did every single day was play Zelda the whole time. And we finished every game too XO. at points when we played the handheld games and such, we had contests to see who could get through the game faster. And since we were both high on rootbeer we were literally bouncing off the walls and screaming while playing. That was probably the best week of my life. Love ya, Mike!

Hey, good idea! Zelda makes so many good memories. I've got a few stories to tell, but I'll just give one right now.

I was in junior high when Majora's Mask was released. My best friend would come over every single day after school and we would work together to beat the game. I remember we got stuck in the Snow Temple at the part where you have to do a goron roll to get across a broken bridge, and we could NOT for the life of us get across. We spent hours trying, and laughed hysterically every time he fell off. It was both maddeningly frustrating and hilarious at the same time.

Got another story to share. While playing Four Swords Adventure with three of my really good friends, we got into a huge fight about items, power gems, and whatever we could argue about. We all pretty muvh winded up bashing each other with the coushions of our BRAND NEW couch. Oh my, mom was so mad at us, we got kicked out of the house. But I had an idea. We each put on a color of clothes that the color of Link that we were playing as in the game and started raoming the neighborhood with fake swords and sheilds. We got a lot of weird looks from the neighbors that day.....

Gah, makes me wish I had friends who'd actually have time to play Four Swords!
I want to fight over rupees too!!!

I do have weird moments with Zelda, but I'll write later.

I played Four Swords with my best friend. And she always, always threw a pot on my head and left me. I got so mad at her and then we'd laugh about it later.

I had another friend who had OoT. She played it and I read the walkthrough to her. That was a lot of fun.

And speaking of OoT, I got stuck every time in the Fire Temple. And I would just restart the game every time I got to that point. It took me FIVE YEARS to get passed it. But I did and now it only takes me like a week to finish the game. A day or two, depending on how determined I am to finish it.

My brother and I used to play ALttP over and over to beat it in a fast time.... usually took about 8 hours if we really pushed ourselves (no bathroom breaks or eating). We used to play with our neighbor and take turns being Link and saving the maidens from the Dark World and all that, heh heh. My little brother learned to read from that game, actually, and I learned some vocabulary from it.

I remember when OoT first came out...my dad was so excited that he reserved the special copy and everything. We finally got it the moment it was released, so it was really late, but my dad took us home and played it anyway. I remember that the grinding sound the game would make when you hit the Z button to change direction freaked me out for some reason. Anyway, my dad beat the game long before my brother and I did... game hog. >_> It was lotsa fun, though.

And I think the most fun I had in MM was getting the milk from the milk bar and using the infinite magic to roll around Termina Field as the goron, going over jumps and ledges and all that.

I also remember finding out what the "healing" women in AoL implied. I was like "@_@ WUT?"

Lol, "Come inside and I will heal your wounds" or something like that. When I was little, I was like meh, whatver. But now when I play it I'm like o_O. And then, the greatest moment in video games history. I AM ERROR lmao

When I played TP, my first Zelda game...
Finding out what Link could do even before he got the sword. It went exactly like this:
''ZOMG he's so hyper jumpjumpjumpjump rrrrrrooooooooooooooollll MEGALULz.''
''I CAN CATCH AND THROW CHICKENS! THROW THE CHICKENS YAAAY!''
Chasing the cat for an hour before I got tired,
and went fishing.

Then I tried to catch the cat again instead of fishing on.

Spending a late night in the prison, cringing my teeth at the sight of the twili rat-things. Twas my first day, played... many hours straight.

Then I saw Link's reaction. A genuine admiration for ZeLink was born without knowing (not just the laugh out loud pairing of X-Play anymore).

Oh, actually the first Zelda game I've played was with a friend a mine. He was cooking and to wait he made me choose a game from his N64. Strangely, all he had were wrestling games, shooting games, and Ocarina of Time.
He told me to either start from the beginning, or try to beat Ganondorf, who's so hard even HE could beat him.
Started from the beginning. I felt offended by Navi's constant ''HEY''s. Couldn't figure out the Lock thingie, so I was beaten to a pulp a lot. All in all, I've found OoT to be hard.

Played it again after beating TP thanks to a copy of the Gamecube collection I've managed to find, and I've beaten Ganondorf all by myself, and a sense of genuine pride fills me everytime I get to talk to my friend.
Hey, I've beaten Ganondorf, AND his beastly counterpart Ganon, all by myself, without a walkthrough.
But oh! Did the Stalchildren kill me so many times when I finally reached Hyrule fields. It's really TP that prepared me for OoT.

Oh, and the redead. ''Ahha, zombies! I'll rid Hyrule of your evil (rude synonym for butt)!''
I laughed, but I truly thought Castle Town needed to be cleaned from its redead population, and I tried wholeheartily.
Then they screamed, and I never wanted to approach a redead ever again. EVER. Too bad I had to later on. I felt really uneasy at the thought of fighting them again.

Wind Waker: I like to imitate Link's various facial expressions, and I swore I'll think about Karma next time the ice here makes me fall on my butt.
Poor guy, really. My passtime is to watch him slide on the ice.


Zeruda: I know. Except I was already old enough to understand that one (started playing it... a few months ago).

I NEED to draw that someday.
I think AoL Link is fully experienced when he gets Zelda.

Hee, this is sort of rude, but a couple of months ago some religious types came knocking at my door, wanting me to join their religion. I usually just politely send these types on their way, but I was sort of delirious with the flu, so I told them that I wasn't interested because I was Hylian, and when they said they'd never heard of that religion before, I did the whole Goddesses descending on the chaos that was the world bit. Din, Nayru, Farore, sacred triangles, everything! They left without another word, and I'm pretty sure they thought I was insane XD

OMG! That's classic! XD I can just see the look on their faces too, like O_o.

Well, as I have said before, I have actually played the CD-i ganes of Zelda. (XoX) It was horrible, but what happened after was jsut so fun. After playing the games, me and a bunch of my friends started a fire in my fire pit in my back yard and burned those CDs to death >:D. Bwahaha, then we danced around the fire, and now I really think the neighbors think we're insane.

If they knew what you were burning, they would be dancing along with you!

Oh man, about a year ago I went on a cruise with some friends, and I kept seeing or thinking LoZ related things the whole trip!
While we were at sea, I had the sailing music from Wind Waker stuck in my head. And this one night it got really stormy (which was really fun because the ship was getting meters of air time!), and to drown out the noise I was listening to my MP3 player, and the first song that came on was the stormy weather music from WW (I laughed so hard at that, and my friends thought I was nuts).
At one of the towns we stopped at, there was this cliff face right next to the dock, and different ship's crews had painted their ship's name and logo on the cliff, and there were a fair few Triforce look alikes among the bunch!
Heh, and I even ended up buying a hammer, sling shot and ocarina for myself XD

Went to the big city the other day, Castle Town's theme in my head because I was SO lost yet not quite (same as when I play. Wut? Not as extensive as Assassin's Creed's city but I still managed to get lost in the games!)
Back at my hometown, it was Kakariko village.
On the way, I thought I saw a redead. I have no idea what I was about to do, but I do know that for a second I was both afraid and unwilling to run. I pat myself on the back thinking it might've been bravery. Or kick myself so hard when I think it might've been because I thought I had no where to run XD
And I once got lost in college when they were rennovating the entrance and I had to take a huge detour. It was almost empty and it was creepy too. Found myself trying to look for a map... inside a chest. Could've used a key or two. Also, when the doors mysteriously closed behind me at some point, I gave the few people around me a doubtful look... and checked to see if the closed doors weren't locked.
They weren't.
I admit I was exhausted from a long story I shalln't tell. Didn't help my usual paranoia. XP

Just remembered one from this very morning.
Half stoned by flu pills and bad things ruining my sleep, weirded out by the seemingly empty boulevard, I have had this sudden and unhealthy feeling that I've been driving on Hyrule fields filled with Octoroks.
À la two-dimensional 1986 Zelda.
I have no idea HOW.

LOL!! That was pretty cool. I have told religious types for the heck of it that I worship various Babylonian and Greek gods but never Naryu, Din, or Farore. But I think I will do that next time.

I remember the first time I slashed at the Cuccos in OoT. I was running around in Kakariko Village, and I thought I would try to attack the Cuccos just to see if anything would happen. Well, I slashed at a Cucco, and it obviously didn't like me attacking it. So I thought, "Hey, Link can attack chickens? Cool!" I attacked the Cucco a few more times, and...well, you all know what happens when you try to kill Cuccos.

Needless to say, Link died by the wings of the Cuccos from hell.

Across the street from the bus stop just up the road from me, there are two posts about a meter apart in some dude's lawn. Every time I see them, I want to light them on fire to see if a chest will appear.
