Zelink vs Link/instert name *SPOLIERS*

Haha, don't misunderstand me. I was trying to make fun of people who DO make jokes about Link's fashion sense. I've always been convinced that it's just a tunic and there's nothing feminine about it, and that the "tights" are actually leggings. It's hard to convey sarcasm through typing words, so I apologize if my comment came across as an inferral that Link is gay, feminine, or anything like that.

But I totally agree with you; I don't think the skirt jokes are funny, nor did I wish to contribute to them and annoy you further. Tunic does not equal gay! The Link that exists in my mind is straight and completely enamored of Zelda; I was just defending other people's rights to imagine him with whoever they choose.

On another note, I despise Link/Peach (mostly because I just despise Peach as a character), and I adore Marth/Zelda. But I support that only if Link is in the picture and wins Zelda over Marth in the end, haha.

*Laughs* I hated Peach too until playing through the Subspace Emissary. Really, when she stopped a fight with tea I decided she was funny enough for a pairing.
Reminds me a fanfic called ''Time Cannot Erase'' (I think), it's a ZeLink about Marth taking away Zelda. Enjoyable. *Nods* But more angsty than funny.

Comedic SSB pairings for the win. (Yes, it does get Link in trouble when Peach is on to him. *laughs evilly*)
But nothing beats the Wise and the Brave pair.

Gaah, I loved Time Cannot Erase. The sequel, Among the Ashes, is even better, though it's still in the making. Angst!Marth is my favorite, and I love when the Zelda universe and the Fire Emblem are combined; they mesh quite nicely, I think.

Haha, I remember when Peach did that in Subspace. She is good for comedic relief, I suppose. But I never saw a connection between her and Link. Marth and Zelda have the whole royalty thing in common, so... I don't know. I guess it was just something I could see happening.

Nope, no connection possible between Link and Peach.
(Except if you play a prank on Mario and Link and give them both directions to the wrong castle....)
The time when Link thought Mario had killed Zelda was priceless though. And when he saw the real one been taken away..

It's harder to have emotional shots with Zelda in them, but on the other hand I'm glad her ultimate smash doesn't involve pink and dancing.
It's so much more precious when something happens between her and Link though. <3 They aren't hard to get with him and Peach however so the imagination gets wild.
First time we used Zelda and Marth, it seemed he constantly wanted to be on screen, so much Zelda got tired and kept jumping on his head, making him fall. Funny since we didn't know we could do that back then. XD The second time it got sweeter. But there's no provocative nature like Peach.
But I don't ship them. They're just cute. Andagreatressourceforwtfness.

I have recently begun liking DarkLinkxZelda mainly because I like the whole bad boy with good girl theme. Plus...I imagine Zelda would need a bad boy to sweep her off her feet instead of hopelessly waiting for a coy/shy nice guy like normal Link to ask her out on a date. Anyone heard of nice guys finish last in romance? IMO thats OOT & even TP Link in a nutshell. But yeah I like DarkLinkxZelda as well. Zelda needs a real man/shadow in her love life.

Hmm...I don't know about Dark Link/Zelda. I once read a fic about them, I think the author was one of our forum members, but it was prettyyy dark and angsty. Took the whole "bad boy" thing to extreme.

Well, Link just needs to grow up. After all, the older he ever gets is what, 17? And he was always kind of protected by his environment before going on a quest (by the Kokiri Forest in OoT, by the isolation of his village in TP).
He just needs to explore his badass side.
I know he has it in him! (yay, I sound desperate!)
I always prefer regular Link over Dark Link anyway. I find my bad boys elsewhere.

Toxo: Weird pair!

SheikxNabooru is cool. Thats an awesome crack pairing Toxo. As for Link..yeah he definitely has some growing up to do when it comes to females. But I think TP Link is more mature in a sense that he doesn't have 7 lost years of life experience that OOT Link has.

Plus, TP Link is more normal looking and doesn't seem as much as a freakish social misfit as OOT Link does with a hideous pointy nose, creepy stare, and a fairy of all things whirling and hovering about him. IMO most girls would probably get creeped out by a guy that looks like OOT Link and the fact that he is a forest child in a mans body. TP Link doesn't seem as creepy IMO. OK enough of my rambling.

Other crack pairings that I like. TalonxCucco Lady, IngoxMalon, ZantxMidna, ShadxZelda. Thats all I can think of right now. But I really like SheikxNabooru at the moment, kind of in the same way I like MidnaxZelda.

I find yaoi and your an abomonation to art, books, movies, and games that do not exist. In Sailor Moon, yes Sailor Neptune likes Sailor Uranus. Both girls. That's how the CREATOR MADE THEM! I do not hate homosexuals as people, but in the movie, video game, book world I do where it was not intended. Get a life people. If you wanna flame me, then I don't xcare. Thta just means you have nothing better to do then flame someone for opinions.

Weird, I find the increbly pointy nose and blank stare a product of the N64 graphics, because I find Link quite handsome looking in the official art itself. A misfit yeah, he doesn't belong to the Kokiri and he doesn't feel at home with the Hylians. But freakish... In a world where there's a race of rock-eating people that never seem to have female counterparts, a race of amazons that get one male heir every 100 years and fish people that lay eggs, a guy in green that's followed around by a fairy doesn't seem as freaky as it should be.

Ingo X Malon.. Rofl! But Zant X Midna doesn't seem that weird. We don't really know if they were close or not before the whole usurper king incident. I think, if I remember well. Or blame DevArt for normalising the pairing.

Chibi, calm down. This isn't a yaoi forum run by 13 year old girls, no one will dislike you for hating yaoi (and YURI) in a Zelda X Link forum. We will, however, feel offended if you act as if we were ready to throw rocks at you over nothing. We don't appreciate being seen as monsters. You act too agressive for your own good.
If you feel like insulting (non-cannon) yaoi and yuri fans while expecting flames and nonsense arguments, you should bring it to a forum all about (non-cannon) yaoi and yuri.
Bringing the author's point of view is interesting. As a wannabe-author myself, I'll despise anyone who uses my characters' identity for their own personal fetiches. The counter-argument will be that the people behind the Legend of Zelda have that nasty habit of giving us the opportunity to make Link (almost) anything we want (beginning with his name Oh, the weird names he's been given). But no need to bring down the house with ''get a life''. That's not how opinions are supposed to be shared, no matter how right or wrong.

''Get a life'' should only be used when everyone here is already calling you names and threatening to make a voodoo doll out of you because you don't like the idea behind Link X Ganondorf.

I generally meant Link seems to be more of a social misfit in OOT than the one in TP. I'm not gay or anything but IMO TP Link is more HANDSOME than OOT Link/official art anyway. But its not unusual that a number of fangirls get more turned on by the Link with the pointy nose and creepy blank stare anyway. Must be the eroticism revolving around that he is a fairy boy in a mans body that would make him an interesting guy to seduce I guess.

I'm not into mangas or Japanese related stuff with the exception of a handful of commercialized anime. But what does Yaoi/Yuri mean?? I assume it means gay pairings I guess. I don't really support this stuff but I don't mine discussing it at all to better understand why people like it.

Whats up with gay sailor moon pairings? My sister and cousins would watch that show when I was younger and I admit I thought Sailor Jupiter was kind of cute.

One thing I don't quite get, though, is how you think OoT Link is a weirdo with a creepy blank stare. Sure, the graphics weren't all that "alive" as TP's, but his look in the official art doesn't make him seem like that.

I was not trying to insult anyone. Simply wish that Chibizelda would move on. She doesn't like yaoi/yuri. That's fine. The point is moot since this is a forum that supports a het couple anyway. So stop bringing it up. Cause nobody cares. No one came here to listen to her complain about her apparent dislikes. If that's all she came here for, then she should've stuck to her journal on DA.
