Zelink vs Link/instert name *SPOLIERS*

First of all, I am a HUGE Zelink fan.
I have nothing against bisexual, trans, gay, ect., people.

Here are all the pairings I can think of-and why they are

1. make no sense

2. non-existent

3. never gonna happen

People Paired up with Link

First up we have Midna, the Twilight Princess
Appearances: Twilight Princess
Link meets her in the beginning of the game, and Midna starts of a jerk, but after Zelda sacrifices her life to save Midna, she goes through a personalithy change, and players can begin to see that Midna feels something for Link, and he returns his feelings-but not to such an extent. In one scene, she caresses him, and in another, before you enter the castle, Midna breaks the sheild and then Link castches her. But at the end, she leaves. So, regadless od whether they liked each other or not, she left.


Next we have the ugly farm girl, Ilia:
Appearances: Twilight Princess
I think there is nothing attarctive about her. Her personaliy stinks, and it's a one-sides relationsip. She obviously likes Link, and he sees her as a friend, nothing more. She was not made to be a main character, but a side character-and s useles one at that. The moment the players see when it's Link, Ilia, and Epona-that's ILIA'S thought. Her purpose is insignificant, and at the end of the game, you can see that Link LEAVES ORDON. There is no romance/love between them. And any feeling that Link had (which, there were none) had diminished after he met Midna and Zelda.


Now we have Saria, the forest girl:
Appearances: Ocarnia of Time
I personally think this one is cute between a young Link and Saria. Saria is Link's best friend in te Kokiri Forest as everyone regards him as an ousider. She is a sweet-tempered girl who is close to nature and later on in the game when Link is an adult, Mido says, "She says she still likes..." or along those lines.


Now we have Ruto, the Zora Princess:
Appearances: Ocarnia of Time
Yeah...she says she's engaged to Link, but it wouldn't/can't/doesn't make any sense. That's all there is to say, really.


Next we have Malon, the ranch girl:
Appearances: Ocarnia of Time, Minsish Cap, Four Swords
Malon is a pretty ranch girl who is the daughter of Talon. She cares about Epona in OoT, however, there is no romance between the two. Although it says Malon awaits a knight in shining aromor-that person in NOT Link.


Tetra
Appearances: Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass
There is obviously a romance between the two. Tetra is Zelda.


Dark Link/any other Link
Appearances: Ocarnia of Time, Twilight Princess (a few others)
If you are twisted enough to make Link love a man, then that's gross. A Dark Link is Link's SHADOW! Link might as well be in love with himself.


Linebeck
Appearances: Phantom Hourglass
You would have to be VERY gross and VERY twisted to do this. It's gross.


Brawl characters: Ike, Marth, Roy, Pit ect.,
Get a life people! This stuff is gross-and it doesn't even make sense!
LINK IS NOT GAY!


People paired up with Zelda:

Shad
Appearance: Twilight Princess
Probably even gayer than Link/Ilia, Zelda knows nothing about Shad. I don;t hink he's even that good looking. It's just dumb, and it is NOT possible.


Marth:
Appearances: Fire Emblem, Melee, Brawl
The prince of Altea, he is sometimes with Zelda in Brawl. I do not get it, but it's ok.


Midna
Ok, you people REALLY are wrecking a good video game series. ZELDA AND MIDNA ARE NOT LES!

Ilia
She's too gay-but I mean Ilia is NOT LES either!!


Ike
Appearances: Fire Emblem, Brawl
Eh. I don't really inderstand...


Roy
Appearances: Fire Emblem, Melee
Again, I don't get it.

In Zelda: A Link to the Past
Near the end, the curtain falls, obviously Zelda is kissing Link, as she moves closer.

A Link to the Past: "I appriciate you coming to rescue me. As I thought, you are the legendary hero. I have felt this from the first time we met..." says Zelda when Link rescues her.

Ocarnia of Time:

-The first time the player sees Zelda is when she is when Link is dreaming, and she is riding off on her white horse with Impa.
-The player meets Zelda once they beat the Deku Tree temple. She is happy to see Link and confides in him abouther dreams, and about her prophesides.
-The third time is when the utsecne from the beginning plays again, and once Link grabs teh Ocarnia, she says in a memory, "I waited for you as long as I could, but I couldn't..." and with that, she leaves.
-The other times are when Zelda disgiuses herself as Sheik and is with him.
-Once Link frees Ruto, she says, "You're looking for Zelda! Ha! I knew it. You can't hide anything from me."
-Link punds on the crystal when Sheik reveils her/himself to be Zelda and ganon captures her.
-Once Link defeats Ganondrof, he puts a protective arm around her and smiles for teh first time in teh game when he is near her.
-They share a romantic scene when Ganon is locked away.
-Th final scene shows Link returning back to Zelda.

Majora's Mask:
"Even though it was a short time, i feel like i've known you forever. I'll never forget the days we spent together in Hyrule...and I believe in my heart that a day will come when I shall meet you again..." quote Zelda in a flashback.


Oracle of Ages/Seasons:
Once both games are Link, Zelda kisses Link on the cheek and hearts swoon above his head.


Wind Waker:
When Link discovers that Ganon has kidnapped Zelda (again) one of the things Ganon says is; "I have kidnapped your precious Zelda." Cute, isn't it?
If you talk to Beedle about the time when Link gets the Master Sword he mentions Tetra (Zelda in disguise) and asks Link if he knows her. Pay close attention to his next sentences. Link actually blushes, only by hearing Zelda's name!
Also-the Great Fairy whi gives you the Ice and Fire arroes says, "I'll show you myself once you have encounterd someone special to you."

Twilight Princess:
However there are moments in this game-you just have to look for them.

In Twilight Princess, during the cutscene before you fight Ganondorf on his horse, Link and Zelda just stare at each other for a while after she summons the Light Arrows And she helps you fight Ganondorf, too!
And at the end of the game, Midna breaks the mirror and seals herself off from Hyrule, so Link and Zelda can be together!
When you first meet Zelda, Midna says to Zelda, "Is this the one you were looking for?"
When you first meet Zelda, Link(in wolf form) growls at Zelda, not knowing who she is at first. However, when he looks into her eyes, he stops growling and walks to her, while Midna swoons sarcastically.
When Zelda asks for the Light Arrows, she asks Link to "lend her the last of his power", Link holds out his hand, and Zelda takes it.
Zelda is revived after you fight her, and Link smiles.
Midna wheneber she makes a remark about Zelda, she refere's her as Link's Zelda.
Zelda's spirit was with Midna when she healed her, which meant that she WAS with Link.


TV Show:
Very poor animation-but a 100% Zelink.

Mangas for OoT and the other Zelda manga:
Ze;da kisses Link on the cheek and holds his hand and it is obvious thta Linkis looking for her.

Even though I'm a Malinker I agree with you that Link did not seem romantically interested in Malon. Then again Link didn't seem romantically interested in Zelda either outside of child like emotional attachment. How many heterosexual guys do you know that would pass up being with a beautiful princess to become a child again?? The tender and sweet Zelink moments in OOT and MM seemed to mean a lot more to Zelda than they did to Link IMO. But OOT/MM Link never showed ADULT romantic interest to anyone other than wanting to do the right thing and help them anyway, Zelda included. But I think OOT Zelda seems more romantically interested in Link than TP Zelda is interested in her Link for sure. I agree with you on Zelink in AOL, ALTTP, and WW though.

EDIT: IMO the Link is gay theories are just jokes in making fun of OOT & TP Link's non masculine shy and gentle personality.

Well, yeah...I guess. But still, I hate gay Link & Zelda. It's so... >_< gross. Eh, but this is only my opinion.

I was chatting with a friend of mine on MSN and she brought up something that really got me thinking. The child timeline seems to cater toward the Link/Malon (Or what have you) while the adult timeline seems more geared toward Link/Zelda. I dunno. It seems kind of plausible and it would seem like the devs are trying to keep all of their fans happy.

Zelda being gay is new to me. But for the gay Link theories I have read: OOT-Mainly LinkxGanon & LinkxDark Link but there is also Rararu molesting Link during those 7 years in limbo. TP-Shad and Fado. I just barely heard of this LinkxLinebeck. IMO they are just jokes and should not be taken seriously. Probably the worse I have read is fanfic theories on both Saria and Zelda over comforting/nurturing and molesting child Link in having a more unique bond to keep him more emotionally attached to either one of them.

Then you should check out some of the artwork on deviantArt-on Photobucket, anywhere. you'll find plenty of yaoi/yuri (gay, lez) It's disgusting.

I'm a girl who hates that stuff. It's women/men, not men/men or women/women. I have my own deviantart account-and there is none of that sickening trash. I cannot avoid it, and bashing it does no good. *sigh* It's quite sad how people wreck good video games. You'll find Midna x Zelda...ugh...my eyes get sore...and Zelda x Ilia or Zelia PUKE! Ok I understand that you don't like a particular ship because it's yaoi/yuri/whatever. But people are going to ship what they like and that is their right. And you should respect that. Bashing never helps the situation. Ever.

I know. But I still hate it. And I KNOW Mimyato would be disappointed in that type of art. I mean, Malon/Link, Zelda/Link, ect., that makes sense. (I mean, I'm not a huge Malon fan, but she's better than Ilia )

I'm cool with innuendos but the more hardcore X rated stuff is bad taste IMO. But to me an adult ZeldaxMidna is not nearly as bad as SariaxChild Link or Child ZeldaxChild Link. Talk about major perverted in poor sweet & innocent child Link naively allowing himself to be molested by very close friends who may be a little toooo close. But I think hands down the most bizarre that I have read is LinkxNavi without a doubt.

I was simply stating my opinions. That is all. I am in no mood for an arguement-I mean, yes...I love Zelink and Saria/Link, Midna/Link is ok, and Malink is tolerable...I guess. I cannot stand, however, Ilia/Link, Shad/Zelda or any gay lez pairings. It's...not the was it was intended...

I'm cool with your opinion chibizelda. Being a Malinker I'm not too crazy about the weird beastiality involving cows and horses in association with some extreme LinkxMalon theories. My theoretical version of LinkxMalon is just PG-13 with Link settling into a normal/quaint husband/wife relationship raising a family in the countryside. As for the gay/lez and child Link getting molested theories to each his/her own I say. With Zelink it seems you have a range of G-rated sweet and tender innocence to the more R-rated Link being groomed by Zelda to become an obedient sex slave by adulthood theories. Personally, I feel the same way in being uncomfortable with these weird pairings/theories but I'm not insecure about my own sexuality anyway so I accept that some fans just have an overcreative mind.

I've noticed when finding Dark Link pairings (though I never search for anything Dark Link related o_0) is that the fangirls often picture themselves as Dark Link.
Why else would the evil, I-can-only-laugh-and-stab-until-I'm-beating-by-a-HAMMER shadow version of Link suddenly act like a sugar-high fangirl? (In a lot of cases, when he's not an evil molester, he's like that. )

Iiii hate Dark Link.

The child versions of Link and Zelda are cute together, but as young, innocent love.
I mean, seriously,
COOOOTIIIIIES.
In OoT/MM, Link is confused (I was confused too after changing from child to adult, then adult to child. In the end, what in the dodongo is he?), but I don't believe he truly knows what romance involves. I mean emotionally. Of course he knows what's a wedding.
In WW, he also knows what it is, and he's so cute when coupled with Tetra, but he's still a child, so no big steps towards romance here either.


As for the adult versions in fanarts/fics, they are so cute even when they hug and kiss, but when they do more...

If I was in Peter Pan, I'll still have my fairy.
