Link and Zelda. TWIN SIBLINGS??, The Twin Sibling Theory

I think we already discussed that the mangas were created to debunk the sibling theory within the game in the first place. blink.gif Anyway..I'm neutral on the whole canon non cannon thing. To me the Mangas represent a more idealized OOT story that the game did not provide.

As far as I'm concerned, knights are considered ''noble'', but not ''royal'', meaning that saying Link has ''noble'' blood isn't the same as saying he has ''royal'' blood.

Hmm...a mistranslation on the part of the manga then? It's equally clear he's of a knight's house according to it...perhaps his mother was a member of the royal family. Or even his family was royal...Hyrule wasn't always united right? The impression I had was that it was the other races who weren't always allied, but what if the Hylian populace itself was split into multiple royal houses? ( like in European history ) I doubt it, but it's a theory.
I for one don't believe Link and Zelda are related, especially since the manga focuses on their romance. They just might share some common blood if you believe that quote.

Its a well known theory that the King of Hyrule did not become King until Hyrule was finally united. During the time of the war when Link and possibly Zelda's mom died, the King of Hyrule was still a HYLIAN KNIGHT. Link is supposed to be descended from a ROYAL Hylian Knight so put two and two together and you have Link and Zelda as fraternal twins seperated during infancy. smile.gif wink.gif

I'll make the quote that started this: " You were born to the house of a knight in service to the Hyrulean King.."

If we are arguing based on the manga ( the game just says the King unified Hyrule nothing about the state beforehand ) then there WAS a King in the days of the war...in game this seems to be Zelda's father as the other tribes have sworn loyalty to him.
( In the manga you also see Zelda's mother alive with her as a young girl, while Link's mother is seen fleeing with him as a baby. Link's father is shown dying, too. )

I still find it a stretch to try to make Link and Zelda siblings. The manga may not be canon, but the interview included with Adult Chapters remarks that the author met with Miyamoto and the Zelda staff. Don't you think they would have stopped them from publishing something so untrue ( the romance ) if Link and Zelda were actually siblings?

I was just teasing on my previous post. tongue.gif As I said before, the inception of the Mangas were obviously intended to debunk the sibling theory that is vaguely subtle within the game itself. From what I have read and been told, there seemed to be a public outcry on this twin sibling issue back in the late 90's when OOT was first released. Hence the mangas were created to eliminate the problem. Now you have the canon vs. non canon to this day

Eeeeh, I must read the manga again.
Not that I'm complaining. link1.gif
