Link's competition

Knowing Link, he'd probably ignore them. I can see it bothering him ( in his OoT version he'd been picked on for years ) but I think he's too sensible to do anything. If one of those suitors made the mistake of doing something silly like challenging him to a dual, I'm not even sure he would accept. Not because he has no guts but rather because it would be unfair. ( To them ) He's really a hero, and very chivalrous. So while others may not, I see Link doing the right thing. ( Though if he was attacked, they would be sorry. )

I don't think Link would ever run to Zelda for help. But if those suitors acted like that in front of her, they'd be in for suprise. Zelda is very intelligent and quite sharp...she'd instantly know what the behavior was about. I'm sure she'd have a cutting and intelligent remark or two to set them in line. And don't forget, the object of the suit IS her. If they upset her, they lose!

I agree. But I like to think that Link could somehow turn the tables on them and actually be assertive enough to hold his own. OOT/MM Link would seem to have more of an influential presence in the Hyrule Court due to his close friendship with Zelda and theoretically being raised within the Hyrule Court after the MM adventure.

Whereas TP Link doesn't seem to have that same influential presence IMO. But at the same time he would not be a romantic threat to the gentlemen suitors in that scenario, mainly because its hard for me to believe that the more distant TP Zelda would be romantically interested in Link in the first place. TP Link still seems to me as the unrequited gentleman admirer from afar obeying Zelda's royal command in spending most of his time riding around with Epona doing heroic deeds within the kingdom of Hyrule. I can't picture TP Link being very involved in Hyrule Court social life as I do OOT/MM Link.
