Here's another topic that I feel bears discussing. ( I wasn't sure which forum because it deals with Link x Zelda shipping, as well as Zelda games in general. )
The Feeling of the games. There's a thread out there for Evidence/Obviousness and while feeling can be used as evidence for a ship, it's incredibly hard to nail down because everyone experiences it differently. But with the advent of cinematics and great music in Zelda games, these can be expertly used to manipulate emotion. MM was a genius in this, IMO. In terms of Link x Zelda...I would not be the fan I am today if it wasn't for the ending of OoT. The feeling it left me with was indescribable, and I can totally see why artists ( the book, the manga ) felt strongly enough to include romance in their interpretations. So, thoughts? Any perfect examples where the feeling really struck you? Do you use it when forming opinions? |
