Basically, we're all sitting in the LZ living room, and we go around, sharing five facts about ourselves that we feel are worth sharing, or some we think no one would ever expect from us.

So five facts about myself:

FACT ONE
Despite the way I type now (respecting the laws of language by punctuating and capitalizing properly, etc), there was a three-year period of my life where I shamelessly "TyPeD LiKE THiS", spammed punctuation marks!!!!!!!???????!!!!??????!!!!!!!, and instead of verbally communicating my thoughts, I used symbol emoticons such as ^___~ or O.O;;;, and repeatedly used chatspeak like, "LOLOLOLOL!!!", "ROFLMAO!" "OOO00MMGGG!!!" This was roughly fifth grade (when my brother first introduced me to online chatting like AIM and blogging like Xanga) up until the beginning of eighth grade.

FACT TWO
Though English is my first language and virtually everyone I know uses it as their primary language, rarely do I speak English at home, where Tagalog and Japanese are primarily used because of my parents, despite both my parents being fluent in English as well. I think that's kind of interesting.

FACT THREE
We all know I write fanfiction, and it's evident from Charm Bracelet that I write my own songs as well (I refused to use copyrighted songs for that story). My writing was so "professional" (no high horse intended) that in fifth grade I was accused of plagiarizing by my teacher on multiple occasions, starting from the second day of school where we had an assignment to write a poem about ourselves, to the point that I was threatened with being held a year back for so-called "academic dishonesty".

FACT FOUR
I would technically be graduating Class of 2009 right now, as opposed to Class of 2010. I skipped the second half of first grade and was put in a second grade class, along with a friend of mine who is still a classmate in four of my classes. Our teacher thought that because we missed the first half of the school year, we weren't ready for third grade, so we were held back. Kind of odd that they bothered to promote us and didn't follow through with letting us go on.

FACT FIVE
I learn songs better on the piano by ear than I do with sheet music. I've taken piano lessons for almost half of my life, but ironically, reading sheet music is still like reading gibberish to me. So I can pick up a song faster just by hearing it a few times, as opposed to having the notes and the chords right there in front of me. Moreover, I cannot learn a song on the guitar without sheet music; if I try to learn it by ear, I'd probably start crying from frustration and have a heart attack from stress.

Okay, I'll bite tongue.gif

FACT ONE
Writing runs in my family. My dad wrote for newspaper/radio/television, his mom was a court transcriber and reporter, her dad published a series of short stories, and now I'm trying my had at getting some of my original fiction printed. But the thing that amuses me the most is that fanfiction runs in my family too, as my dad wrote a whole series of stories about the crew of an experimental Klingon warship biggrin.gif

FACT TWO
In real life, I can be quite vulgar. But despite all the innuendo and inappropriate things I say, I'm actually a prude.

FACT THREE
In support of fact two, in one of my Biology classes, we were studying cancer. The teacher asked that everyone pick a different cancer and then write a report about it. I picked colorectal cancer just to I could title my report "Cancer of the Ass."
When I handed in my report, titled thus, my teacher laughed so hard that I thought he was going to die. And despite my unconventional title, I still got an A on the report tongue.gif

FACT FOUR
Apparently the first movie I ever saw was Rambo: First Blood Part II, and it was at a drive-in theatre. I don't remember it though, as I was only a few weeks old at the time.

FACT FIVE
I have a knack for remembering stupid little facts. As such, I pwn at Trivial Pursuit.

I wish writing ran through my family. XD

Okay, I'll give this a try...

FACT ONE
If you take my full name and decipher its meaning--it litterally means, "Bitter Christian Landowner"... And that was completely on accident. XD Actually I think I am pretty bitter--though that depends on who you talk to really. XD

FACT TWO
I'm not very sociable. I don't like being in large groups and I don't like talking for long periods of time. In fact, I get "socially exhausted" where I physically get tired and end up wanting to go home right away. When surrounded by a large group, I tend to go to the far corner and just sit and stare. Oh, I'm completely different on the web. XD

FACT THREE
I've never had a boyfriend. I've also never been to a dance or on a date. (Wait... I did go to that one stupid Valentines dance thing that my club hosted... I had to go to man the concession stand, so that doesn't count. XD) So I'm absolutely clueless when girls start talking about their love life. But the thing is, I don't plan on having a boyfriend any time in high school or any time soon. EDIT: Wait... Now I've been on a date. XD (Holy crap, the world is ending. o_o)

FACT FOUR
I'm a musician! ='D I actually play three instruments--french horn, piano, and flute. I started out on the flute in fifth grade, but saw the light and switched to french horn. I started piano somwhere in between. I guess I'm decent at playing the french horn. I made first chair at district honor band two years in a row, and made regionals twice (once for orchestra and this year it's band... second chair. DANG IT! And orchestra is playing Night on Blad Mountain <--(is that what it's called? The last song on Fantasia?)!! DX!!!!) I also play piano in jazz band. Needless to say, I plan on majoring in music. =3 Music education with an emphasis in performance that is.

FACT FIVE
I have to be in the right mood to be hugged. For example, right after we finish performing at a marching band competition and we know we did a good job... or if I'm really, really, really, really, I mean REALLY sad. Otherwise if you hug me too long... I might bite you. D=< (Seriously... I actually did bite one of my friends.) And that's why some people think it's a privelege to get hugs from me. XD

Don't think I'm insane! I'm pretty level-headed... actually... =3

My turn! happy.gif

FACT ONE

I’m a dancer. Amateur, but if I had the natural skills I’d work my butt off and forget about using my brain for deeper things and just dance my way through life till I’m thirty.

FACT TWO

I hate invites and competitions. I hate even more when they come in a dual package.

I’m a good student, and that has sent several scholarship opportunities filing into to my PO Box. And while many other students would be like OMGAH opportunity I usually just groan, and type out the excess of questions and essay prompts in a bad mood. It’s my way of dealing with the negative probability, the 80% likelihood nothing will come out of my efforts. I’ll admit rejection upsets me.

I moaned my way through my Ivy League applications (which weren’t many, no matter how much my parents pressed the matter), saying stuff about no-matter-what-it’s-still-1600-out-of-20,000-that’s-less-than-9-percent-what-do-you-want-from-meee-?

FACT THREE

So I like to write poetry. Usually poets have these ‘big themes’ they just can’t seem to rid themselves of writing about, and mine are beauty, existence, and how love makes us exist. Sounds tacky, I know, but I usually make it work.

As for prose, I write better in Spanish than I do in English, but since the bulk of what I finish is fanfiction I’ve actually worked harder on polishing my second language skills than those of my first.

FACT FOUR

I talk to myself in public at least once a week. That includes singing and murmuring out my tasks for the day and being sarcastic towards the universe. Most people that know me in school have gotten used to it, and just smile as if I were a capricious little sister too involved in her world to bother about suspicions of lunacy.

FACT FIVE

For the first three years of high school I was your traditional nerd-girl. Then I fell in love – hard – and the actual state made me so happy that out of the blue I grew a sense of humor and non-nerds started to realize I wasn’t such bad company. So my Senior years has been full of new friends and makeovers and hanging out, all the while keeping the very Internet-heavy habits that eased the loneliness of those first years.

Funny thing is this love was – and still is – completely platonic. Makeovers aside, I haven’t been able to get rid of my shyness.

Let's see...

Fact one.
I play the violin, but have always wanted to play the harp (or autoharp) since I was around three. My earliest remembered thought about wanting to play the harp was in preschool doing music time. I was 3, turning four in a few months, and the youngest in the class. I'm still going to find a way to learn how to play the harp and no one can stop me. The only harp I've ever used was one in my music teacher's room and I learned how to play Zelda's lullaby flawlessly after ten or fifteen minutes. I'm actually pretty good at playing the violin, for example, I can play the finale of Bethoven's fifth sympothy pretty good. it depends on who you talk to. If you asked my parents, relatives, friends, or anyone I give private concerts to, they'd say i'm outstanding. I do horrible in front of judges, even if it's my own teacher or peers.

Fact Two
I've always wanted to practice archery. It's my favorite weapon. Problem is, I don't know any place where they sell bows and arrows, or any place that would offer lessons.

Fact Three.
I'm afraid of dogs. When I was little, a dog chased be and now I'm emotionally scarred for life. I'm okay if they're behind a fence, and okay if they're on leashes (although wary), but if they're loose, I'll probably run to a high place, keep behind a few people, or try VERY hard for it not to notice me.

Fact Four
Even though I'm only thirteen, turning fourteen in november, I'm very mature for my age. A parent can talk to me about thier child, and I would give helpful comments on how to make them behave better. A teacher once asked me to be in a group of misfits because she knew that 1. I would be able to stay with that group when the other good students didn't want to, and 2.I could make those misfits do thier share of workand cover whatever they couldn't do. I can be read a mature document that someone might had me, and I would get through it without flinching or making remarks about the mature parts.

Fact Five
I'm in Gifted And Talented Education math and English classes in school, so I'll be taking Algebra II next year in my freshman High School year. I'm not really smart, I don't get things fast, it's just that I can learn higher things at an earlier age. It's like a regular 11th grader learning that, but I might be learning it a slight bit faster. A lot of people call me smart, but I'm not, I just learn higher things the same way they would, but I can comprehend it before average people do.

Gah, this took me forever to type. T.T I usually type small facts like, "my favorite color is pink."(It actually is my favorite color tongue.gif).
