Words: 365 Title: If Life Were Like A Cartoon
If life was like a cartoon, Link would either have been struck by lightning, had a light-bulb go off over his head, got hit in the head with something heavy, or fallen off his chair.
Sadly, though, life is not like a cartoon. Therefore, when Link had his stunning thought, he was not literally stunned by bolts of lightning, flashing light bulbs, or heavy pieces of machinery. He simply jumped out of his chair and dashed off to the amused stares of the other people in the library. As he came around a corner he saw the object of his mad dash around the building. “ZELDA!”
Zelda turned slightly and blinked at the excited Link. “Oh, hi Link,” she said before shrieking as Link barrelled into her, practically knocking her flat in a rugby-style tackle.
After straightening up again, Zelda glanced at her ‘attacker’. “What is it Link?” she asked, still looking rather startled.
“I finally realised something,” he said, his expression turning serious. “And it has to do with you.”
Zelda blushed. “Oh? What exactly have you realised about me?”
“Well, you know how you’re really important to me and all?” he asked seriously.
Zelda felt her heart thumping in her chest. “Yes?” she asked, hoping she didn’t sound as breathless as she felt.
Link then frowned. “Well, you know how your birthday was yesterday? Well, I wanted to do something really special for you, but I forgot to do something,” he said seriously.
“What?”
Looking completely serious, he replied. “I made you some muffins, but I forgot to add the vanilla extract!” he said mournfully.
If life was like a cartoon, Zelda would have fallen flat on her face. “What?!”
He nodded. “I forgot to add the vanilla and now the muffins will taste horrible,” he said sadly.
Zelda just stared at him, blinking rapidly. “That’s what you had to tell me? That’s why you practically flattened me in the hallway? That was your grand revelation?”
He nodded again, still looking sad.
If life was like a cartoon, Link would currently be lying on the ground with crosses in place of his eyes. Instead, Zelda just walked away, muttering under her breath. “Men!”

Title: Hallelujah Theme: Revelation Wordcount: 333 Genre: Humour Setting: AU Rating: PG-13
Originally, Zelda had imagined her bachelorette party to be quite different that what it currently was. She had envisioned a quiet gathering of friends, maybe take in a movie or something similarly low key. But then Malon had decided that she was going to plan the whole affair, and had somehow managed to book an entire strip club. Zelda was both impressed and disturbed. "I can't believe you dragged me to a place like this!" Zelda half laughed and half screamed at Malon, who was currently stuffing money into a male stripper's g-string. "This isn't the best part though!" Malon yelled back over the techno music. Almost as soon as she finished saying that, however, the lights went out and another song started up.
Hi! Hi! We're your Weather Girls. Ah-huh. And have we got news for you, you better listen! Get ready, all you lonely girls And leave those umbrellas at home. Alright!
The lights came back on, and the stage was empty except for a solitary figure in a cloak.
Humidity is rising, barometer's getting low According to all sources, the street's the place to go Cause tonight for the first time Just about half-past ten For the first time in history It's gonna start raining men.
And with a thunderclap and a flash of spotlight, the figure whipped off the cloak, revealing none other than Zelda's fiancé in a sharp looking suit. "Link?!?" was all Zelda managed to squeak before every female in the room began to squeal with glee, because Link was beginning to strip, slowly revealing inch after inch of himself to the eager crowd.
And some minutes later, when Link was devoid of all but a green Speedo and a grin, giving his fiancé a lap dance while her friends cheered on madly, her blood rushing to her head (well, mostly to her head), Zelda decided that she wouldn't mind Malon organizing any future events that came their way.
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! It's Raining Men! Amen!
