LxZ 30 Themes Drabble Contest, Official Thread!

Hiya! This is the official thread for the Link x Zelda 30 Themes Drabble contest for the members! This is where all your soon-to-be authors get to shine by writing a piece of ZeLink fluff for the forum to read! If you are interested in participating in this contest, just make sure to read (and re-read) this thread to secure that everyone understands the rules and guidelines for this contest. We - the admins - came up with these rules without being to restrictive and what not, just so it makes your ideas and creativity flow a little more wildly, and we apologive if we don't do so.

For the most part, please make sure that you do submit your own work. I'm not really concerned with that though, since Amaya invited some of you from Fanfiction.net But no one likes a plaigiasrist or a cheater, so make sure not to do that kind of stuff. Also, we would ask (and it has been requested) that you do keep your fanfictions at a PG-13 level. Posting anything above that is against forum rules and invisionfree's rules (I think...) and my eyes are too young for that stuff. xD

All drabbles are to be between 100-1000 words. It's okay if you go a little under 100 or a little over 1000. :]

For submitting and entries, there will be seperate threads for each theme to post your entry in. There isn't exactly a required format to submit it in, just as long as you add the title and the number of words you've written at the beginning of your post.

Since we started this off quite off schedule, we decided to extend the deadline from October 26th to another date. The official deadline for this contest will be Friday, November 2nd 2007.

As for voting, there will be two ways. One way will be for the members, who will vote for the best drabble in each theme. The second way will be the overall best drabble, which will be judged by the Admins and the Mod(s). Prizes will include a small banner in commemoration as well as a little "surprise" for the overall winner of the contest. As long as you complete the 30 themes, each member that does so will recieve a participation award.

When I get the threads up, each theme will have the URL for submitting your entries. I present to you, the theme list!

Questions: Is it okay to feature characters other than Link and Zelda in the drabbles? And do we have to make one drabble for all of the thirty themes?

Of course it's okay to feature other characters! I wouldn't know why anyone wouldn't want to if they had the option xD.

And you don't have to do a drabble for all the themes. But it would be a nice accomplishment if you did >D

W00t! Drabbling, here I come!

A tiny question: could we do more than one piece for a theme? Like, for example, if I had two ideas for the theme Betrayal, could I submit them both or just one?

So... about posting the drabbles, do we create the thread-per-themes ourselves, or is someone in charge of that?

It sounds like Existence: DENIED will be setting up the seperate theme threads, so I suppose we'll just have to wait for'em

I'd think I'd have to talk that over with Amaya. This is because since there are quite a number of participants and a number of themes, we'd all be pretty much overloaded if there were multiple of entries from participants in a single theme. In any case, I think it's great that you have alot of ideas!

What if one drabble can be applied to more than one subject? Does one just submit it under the subject it's related to the most?

I think it's best that you actually do submit that one drabble to the theme it relates the most to. It'd be a hassle to have to read the same drabble in different submission threads.

By the way, I've put up all the submission threads and updated the first post to contain URLs to the thread. Hope to see those fill up quickly :]
